I had the employee on staff that day hook up the trailer to my pickup truck, wanting to make sure that it was done properly. Unfortunately, it wasn't. When I was attempting to get onto the on-ramp for US30, the trailer popped off of the ball hitch and was bouncing back and forth behind the pickup truck. The only thing that saved the trailer from being damaged was the safety chains were put on properly. I am very lucky that the traffic behind me had already kept a clear distance from me.

The only complaint that I have is, when given the paperwork, we were given instructions that the truck was in the back lot. We walked in back and there must have been 30-35 trucks to look through to find our truck. When found, it was snow covered and the windshield wipers were frozen to the window. I went back in to see if they had a scraper, they did not. This truck was reserved 5 days prior to picking up. I would think the truck should have been ready to drive off the lot when picked up. Other than that, everything else went very smooth.

When we got our moving truck it was FILLED with dog hair and wreaked of stinking dog! The gentleman helping us did eventually clean out the truck after I brought it to his attention, but st first didn't seem like he was going to and certainly did not want to. This location was also wanting to charge us more than the app, so we had to make a new reservation online while standing in the store. I also noticed thst when I first checked the pricing the website was only going to charge us $110 for the truck, but by the time we got to the store the price went up...online and physically in the store. The two guys in the store did not seem like they wanted to be at work.

The two young men who were on duty when I moved in at 3:30 pm on Thursday February 22 were extremely helpful and kind. They showed me how to get in and where to park. I could not have done it without them. I wish employees at all businesses were that thoughtful. The facility itself is poorly labeled and disorganized. On a weekend I imagine it must be a zoo when more than one person is trying to move in or out. The advertised size of the storage room is misleading and borders on fraud. It claims to be 6 foot tall. Yes, there are areas of the storsge room that are 6 foot tsll. However there is a roof support running through the room that limits the height to less than 5 foot.

Drop was very easy as it has been except for the December, 2023 experience. That one earned a lesser review and was warranted due to the lack of concern shown for the customers. This one was excellent. I do not have his name, however the guy was very pleasant and nice to speak with especially after two days of non stop work. Pulled into return truck and a 26' truck was sitting in the lit blocking full entry risking my wife's vehicle to be hit by oncoming traffic. Location is on a blind curve. I entered the building alerting to the issue and nothing was done for well over 10 minutes. There was no urgency to move the truck and resolve the situation.

The two gentlemen that greeted me as I entered showed so much patience toward a customer who made her reservation for 2AM instead of 2PM. They got everything sorted out and I was on my way within a few minutes. Returning the UHaul was simple and the same gentlemen were welcoming and informative. Lady at the call center told me there was a floor level unit that I could rent. When I showed up and paid for the unit I was then told it was not a floor level unit, and I would have to walk up like 5 steps, I immediately cancelled. I'm not walking up any steps to get into a storage unit, so now I'm waiting on my $85 dollars to get refunded to my card.

Truck had oil change light on when I picked it up. Cup holder area was dirty, I was not greeted at return area when I returned truck, had to go in building and wait, while three employee's were behind desk and only one was with customer. New female employee tried to help but was limited in training. Had storage for month, had issue with Manager Montana Vann. I explained my situation to employee on previous date before monthly due date.He seemed to understand and said no problem, but did not take my name or put notes in computer. I received email from Manager about late fee and called store, no answer. I personally went to store for the 2nd time to explain situation. This time, young man put notes in system, reassured it would be taken care of by manager Montanna Vannby phone or when I picked up my 2nd truck to move out of storage that Saturday, she was scheduled to work then. I show up on time to pick up truck and clear out storage and Manager Montanna Vann was not working. Told employee to check notes in system to HONOR what was agreed to by previous employee, since Manager Montanna Vann never coontacted me on any issue. This employee did not know how to handle situation and let me finish my storage move out and would call Manager Montanna Vann to rectify situation. I came back in after emptying storage and was told that Manager Montanna Vann would not HONOR previous agreement that was told to me twice by 2 different employees and in notes on contract. New female employee Remembered conversation and spoke up to no avail. I know each situation is unique and should be handled on individual basis. Listening and feedback are key to customer service opportunities when applied respectfully and efficiently. I have previous experience with UHaul and know that Customer Service is the key to future business. Negative word of mouth and lack of effort are greatly considered in the public when patronizing locations. I expected better communication from a professional establishment such as UHaul as I have experienced in the past. Maybe Manager Montanna Vann does not completely understand that yet. Her Gold lettered name on the door tells me the company UHaul expects it! I expect my situation corrected in a timely manner by the company MCP or a professional Manager in the Company. Very dissatisfied with this experience!

When I went into the Lima store today, the two gentlemen that were there were very rude to me, and each other they almost got into an argument in front of me I asked a simple question and got a snarky comment as a response they never told me that I wouldn't have access to the building after 10 PM he just told me that if I came after hours that I would just have to use my card and just pull straight to the back when I got back there were trucks in the way no one told me on how to pull the trucks I had to go around the building and figure it out myself. I was not able to access the building. I called the number that they told me to call and I never got an answer. I called three times left voicemails , I want to pick the U-Haul up in Dayton and mobile pick up the truck was not ready the proper gas was not put into the truck. I did not have the proper dolly in the truck. The guy apologized for not having it ready properly it was still an inconvenience because that is why we made it back to lima after 10 overall port experience today with both U-Haul stores .

I was unhappy that there was no option to prorate the final month. My unit was empty, but your automated phone system and hours made it difficult to cancel, and when I did I was 3 days into the month and had to pay the full amount.

Upper level storage area needs more ceiling space for longer sofas. I had to take my sofa and put it on a friends back porch when I'm paying over $100 for one of your full storage units. I was not a happy customer. Also if customer late paying pmt, the red lock should come off the day they paid not the day the customer decides to come to storage (within the month). Couple times I paid late then waited to come get something out of my storage to find the red lock was still intact. I had to walk all the way back outside in the cold go to office and inquire about. I was not a happy customer. With that being said, Neither will I NEVER recommend your storage units to anyone nor will I do business with you again.

Storage facility was old and unit was on 2nd floor with no AC or cargo elevator! So if you are looking to haul all your stuff up a flight of steps, down a dim, narrow hallway, and then up a foot or two into a storage unit where you are greeted with rat poison and a bent latch, this is your spot! Staff was slow, borderline incompetent and just spectacularly unhelpful. It took an hour of discussion back and forth with manager to replace a nonfunctional keycard, despite the account holder being present. They told us to call corporate which had an hour wait time. Never received final bill, which seems very high, and then had to email them after a week to get them to close out the move-out request. Just don't ignore this review! Rent some place, any place else!! I will never darken the door of a Uhaul facility as long as I live after this miserable experience.

The customer service and everything else was immaculate but the storage size was not up to par. Their largest size storage was the size of a medium sized closet with low entrance and will not hold or fit large items such as couches, mattresses, and box springs. For smaller storage such as totes and boxes this would be perfect but that was not what I was looking for.

Was not well lit. Had to vigorously wave arms to get light to come on and it still didn't go on till we were walking out. Storage unit was very dark at all times. Large pipe running through the middle of it that I hit my head on several times, must be a known issue due to it being wrapped in foam which helped but still made moving anything very difficult. Late fees are outrageous, in one month its the same as the rent for the unit making it nearly impossible to catch up and not lose your belongings.

I stored my belongings for 6 months, was concerned about the condition they would be in when I finally moved my furniture and boxes to my new home. I rented the unit from June 20th until August 20th and they keep trying to bill me. I have called customer service and no one can cancel it! It has been empty since aug 20th

All was well with the truck rental. However I was charged twice for a lock that I bought, and was told they couldn't do a refund without the receipt? I was overcharged 12,96
