CLEAN THE TRUCK and take ALL necessary precautions in this era of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, PLEASE! There were two DIRTY face masks left in the truck. It was stressful and very unsettling that UHaul did not CLEAN the truck before my rental as we are all very aware of the COVID-19 health crisis. The interior of the truck was also DIRTY!!! Again not acceptable during the pandemic. When I told one of the employees, she responded very non-chalantly saying, "Well, did you write that in the link you got?" I then asked if UHaul checked to see if the trucks were clean before renting, and she replied, "Oh, that's the responsibility of the previous renter not ours." The employee who waited on me, since online app was not working, had her mask below her nose. There was no hand sanitizer for customers only for the employee. This was a very uncomfortable experience. I will ABSOLUTELY not recommend UHAUL if the Malden Ctr location is typical of how UHaul is responding to the pandemic. In no way did my experience match the UHaul commitment: "Equipment preparation standards have intensified. We're sanitizing steering wheels, door handles, control knobs, keys, seats and seatbelts. Cargo areas are cleaned. Retail stores are sanitized continually. Distancing plans and capacity limits are observed."

To not check off accidentally that I was in an accident when I wasn't. Since that was scary that the uhaul rep who checked in the rental was convinced it happened. However it was her who created the accident by her own unknown mistake. Her manager realized she did it.

When I arrived there were two other customers who has been waiting outside the store for 10 minutes. There was a sign on the door that said "be back in 5 minutes" and it took the staff nearly 40 minutes to do whatever they were doing inside that kept them from helping customers. The appliance dollys I rented were frozen and covered in snow, the truck was covered in snow and there were cardboard boxes in the cab. The back of the truck had dirt and rocks in it. WORST of all, not a single employee that I came into contact with wore a mask. One woman, who was apparently the manager had a mask hanging from one of her ears but didn't have it on. Terrible, horrible, awful experience and I will never return to this UHaul location.

When returning our truck after hours, then trying to complete the return process on my phone, your link wouldn't work properly, it kept saying to turn on my location services on my phone, which was already on, I was there much too long trying to remedy this problem and at the end of our exhausting moving day was quite frustrated because I couldn't proceed in completing the return process and had to finally give up, only to find the next morning, it said I had completed it, I was baffled!! I just feel it should've been easier than it was, otherwise no other complaints, and I must say how much we appreciated Nicole Taylor, she was extremely pleasant and efficient, incredible with her multi tasking skills while taking such good care of us, all the while, when she was so busy, she went above and beyond and provided the very best, excellent customer service, we absolutely loved her, Thank you Nicole Taylor!!!👏❤️👏

We got there at 8 am and used Uhaul mobile app to check-in. The experiences in using app was terrible. The app screen had bug so it did not allow us to open the contract to read. We were waiting outside for customer service in a super cold weather until a Uhaul staff arrive for work. The staff was really good but overall it was a terrible experience in using Uhaul app.

My contract agreed to drop off at the Cambridge MA location. When I arrived, they announced they were no longer taking trailers and I was directed to go elsewhere. Very frustrating as a customer to be told I needed to go 40 minutes out of my way to a location that I did not agree to. Very frustrated with the Cambridge Uhaul location.

Nothing! I needed a van or truck for couple hours on Sunday afternoon, August 30th. One of the worst days to find a truck in Boston. I used to live next door to this location in Malden so I decided to stop by and ask anyway. Adriana was so helpful and efficient that I could not believe it. She made this transaction so easy! I really appreciate it. Nicole was very helpful too. Thank you girls to make my moving day easy.

This experience was horrible. I will never use u-haul again. After I scheduled and paid for my truck, I went to pick it up and the owner's had closed up shop for a two week vacation. No ability to get the keys. Then I had to get on the phone with customer service. They were rude and didn't help. Embarrassing.

Sowing Opportunities, Inc. (www.sowingops.org) appreciates the generosity and efforts of the employees at U-Haul, 124-126 Eastern Ave., Malden, MA. The manager, Amilcar, provided our nonprofit with three storage bins for one month and, at one point, one of the employees, Devyne, helped me bring 16 heavy bags down the stairs to my bin when the elevator was broken. Kevin tried his best to help me open a lock that was truly jammed and the team provided a new lock so that the process was (almost!) effortless. They are indeed an essential service in Malden!

I had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The General Manager, Mr. Ruiz, has created a customer service "make it happen" environment that any business would be delighted to have. My career was in Management Consulting, so I have seen a lot of companies and know how important--but difficult--it is to deliver exceptional customer service. And exceptional is not a throw-away word--it is a word that coming from me--is earned. Here's why. Starting with my reservation--it so happened that I had only a debit card, which the system would not accept. We had gone through the entire reservation--only to have it halted at the end. As it became clear that there was a system glitch, and equally clear that I was intent on renting the vehicle, Mr. Ruiz made the right decision. "Mr. Jones, consider that you have a reservation. I will deal with this--you don't need to stay on the phone. See you Thursday, 9:00". And so it was. Today, it was busy at the counter--Mr. Ruiz was at the center station, flanked by two other employees. And as I waited, it became clear that he was directing the show--leading from the front as they say. While serving his own customers, he was also multi-tasking, answering questions from other associates, smoothing the way, making things happen. He later told me that one of the associates was in training--but his hands-on support tells me that she will become proficient quickly. My rental was just fine. Uneventful, which is how we want it. But I was on a tight timetable as I returned the vehicle. No problem. Mr. Ruiz came out from behind the counter, took my keys, and assured me that he would take care of everything--for me to look for a final receipt in an email, and that I didn't have to stay around at all. So, I made my other appointment, and sure enough, got my receipt. If any potential customers read this I would close with the following. There are two other UHaul operations in Malden--I wouldn't even bother to check them out. The premier UHaul facility is on Eastern Ave. Ask for Mr. Ruiz!

Welll it was busy on Saturday 7/25 and the computer was very slow. I was charge double on the price of a lock which the person checking me in said he would fix it. As of today, which is Monday 7/27 it was not put back in my account. Also I was very dissapointed that When I returned the truck at that location the agent forgot to check the truck as being returned and I was charged an additional charge of over $70. I have rented Trucks and storage units in the past from this location and never had an issue With this location. It needs to be alittle more organized and the people there should be on top of things I also found in the bathroom a bug issue that needs to be addressed as well. Very disappointed in this location. Amilcar Ruiz, General Manager, of 124-126 Eastern Ave., Malden, and his staff have been amazing. Amilcar set up our nonprofit with a storage unit for our clothing drive fundraiser and when that one was filled, he gave us another, in exchange for a truck rental. He even coordinated with Luis Cardona, Jr., General Manager, of 420 Eastern Ave., Malden, so that we could have storage units until we deliver the clothing to Savers on August 29. Devine is a member of Amilcar's staff and has also been exceptional. He carried bags from the loading dock to the basement when the elevator was out of order. It was a heavy job on a hot day. It is clear that the staff are well-treated. When staff are respected by their manager, they work efficiently and have a great attitude. Amilcar is to be commended for his excellent management and hands-on assistance of customers. Thank you! Fern

Great staff. The staff accommodated all my needs. The room was an awkward size room and the door opened inward. The paint was peeling off the walls and the light fixture was broken.
