It's always about communication… It would've been nice to know that my reservation was moved from Tempe Arizona to Manara Arizona which was an hour away. I went into panic mode but had NO choice to role with the punches.

Heidi D.The first UHaul dealer I was directed to in Tucson, was not even open for pick up, and had only 2 trailers in inventory. I waited for 30 minutes, and no-one showed up, thats when called UHaul and wanted to go to the Marana dealer.
Karl M.Richard needs more training.. If anything his lack of knowledge of operation and loading a vehicle on the dolly was extremely unsafe. I'm glad I knew more about the process than he did.. I'm concerned for whoever goes to him and assumes he loaded it and strapped down currently. If I brove away the way he had it, my 2014 fusion would have fallen right off and killed someone! It took us 3 times to get the car on the dolly. He didnt know you drive over the straps and then ratchet them in. I noticed he strapped them off to the side and not down the center of the tires, so I had to redo it. He failed to put the emergency hook to the correct spot. I never noticed that but the guys at the drop of station noticed and took a picture. Before driving away I noticed the chains underneath were never hook to the car... very unimpressed with the safety procedures that never happened. They all watched me drive away probably knowing something bad was goin to happen. Not sure how I made it 1 700 miles without a tragedy happening. I know I will never feel completely safe hauling the car through uhaul.

Nichole N.Communication between u-haul stores. A u-haul rep called me after I picked up and told me I pick up the truck without paying and I needed to pay immediately. I had paid on line when I made the reservation. Also I-hauled changed my pick up location 3 times between the time I made the reservation and picked up the truck. Plus I had to go to another location to pick up the Auto Hauling trailer.
Robert W.I reserved a trailer over a month ago. I was picking up in AZ and driving to Canada. I got a call less than 24 hours prior to pick up, that I was going to have to drive 1,5 hours each way to pick up the trailer. Your representative Victoria, was very rude and condescending. Kamryn offered to discount the trailer but it was such a huge inconvenience. If I could have cancelled it, I would have. When we dropped the trailer in Scarborough, the representative was again extremely rude and couldn't give us the time of day and just constantly was texting on his phone. No paperwork was provided at drop off, although asked for. I could not in good conscience ever recommend uhaul to anyone. It was terribly inconvenient. We were notified last minute of the 3 hours of driving that had to be done to pick up a trailer that had been ordered well I'm advance and treated so so poorly by the office that called, and BOTH the pick up and drop off locations. I will not use Uhaul again and will definitely advise anyone thinking of using uhaul of our experience. Noone should be treated like that customer service wise, especially during such a stressful time of moving.

Mary L.I rented and dropped off 4 trucks to this location. Each time I was told I had to pay an over mileage fee. The first two times I paid because I thought I may have been close. However, on the third and fourth time I asked them why am I being charged. The response given was I went over my 131 mile limit. The problem is when I rented the truck I was told I had 156 miles and that is what is stated on the website. I had to show the individual checking me in a Screenshot of the website notification that said I rated 156 miles. Why should I have to show a uhaul employee the milage limit I rate? Again twice before I had to pay because I did not have a Screenshot to show my mileage.
Freddie J.Tire strap ratchets were rusty and not performing well. Had to go 70 miles out of my way to pick up the car hauler trailer not this location's fault. U-Haul did discount but not enough for the headache that they caused by not having the equipment properly located. U-Haul could've done a better job positioning equipment.
Donald M.Reserved trailer on 9 April 2022 @ location nearest my home. 28 April 2022, two days prior to pick-up I was notified that they would not honor my reservation and I could obtain trailer at a location 30 miles away from my home. At the new location, I waited around for 30 minutes while the attendant attempted to complete the rental agreement. To say I am disappointed with U-Haul, is stating the obvious.

Richard H.I actually reserved this trailer for pick up in Maricopa & was called the day before on my way to Arizona from Utah & was told my pick up location was Marana which is 80 miles farther down the road. After numerous phone calls & a stop in Wickenburg, I was left with the option of having to go to Marana or have no trailer. I was told I needed to read my contract & this is totally normal & fine by U-Haul. I was offered no discount or anything else to make the 160 mile extra trip. I have come to the conclusion that your definition of a reservation is different than mine or anywhere or anything I've reserved before. I will remember this & even pass it along to friends & family. Most of the people on the phone & the men in Wickenburg & Marana were very good & tried their best. I have no complaint with them, I guess just the company & their total uncaring for a customers.

I had to pay a third party to move the box to Wolf Creek and back to Medford. Very disappointing. Had I been told in AZ that Uhaul would not deliver to Wolf Creek, I could have gone elsewhere. Extremely disappointing. Discussed with personnel in AZ, in CO (my residence) & OR. All courteous and respectful. But I was still stuck with a delivery fee for something not delivered plus $650 to move the box another 23 miles. Not happy.

I am not happy with pricing.from being charged awhile months storage for a couple days into anewmonth payment because the ubox could not be delivered by the facility until a date after the monthly storage renewal. Then I'm told it's 99 to deliver the ubox. I am not told there's a charge to.pick it up . Why is there a charge to pick it up,? So the total is 180 or so. For the convenience I was going to pay the 99 but for 180 I would have rented a truck for 19 and delivered the unbox myself. Not upfront with pricing. Everytime I turn around it's more money. I will use another service next time I move which will be in a few months. Need to work on upfront pricing from facilities . I am disappointed in this experience.
steven T.I rented a conditioned 5'x5' unit. The space was triangular shaped with one side 3' long and the other 5' long. It was completely unacceptable. The office was great about refunding me the full amount though.

stuart B.The truck interior smelled of cigarettes, it was so bad my clothes smelt of cigarettes, I don't smoke. I am also an asthmatic which caused me discomfort. It didn't smell when I first got inside the truck.

I filled the gas tank to the level I picked it up at and they fraudulently charged me $23 for fuel!!! Fraud! I am reporting this to my credit card company as an unauthorized charge. Terrible customer service.

Staff was very nonchalant about this. Very disheartening. I don't believe they cared one way or the other about what happened. My mistake for not realizing that there were no cameras inside or outside of the rental units . Therefore, no way to see anything. Was done by someone who had a unit there, or staff that worked there. Either case, DONT rent a storage unit that doesn't have camera security.

She removed all her stuff for the unit and we took it over removing her name and adding our credit card and info almost 8 months ago. She text me she received a bill that September was not paid. Well we have auto draft and it's been paid every month so far. So my question is how did Uhaul drop the ball and not notify us if it's our account and we removed her from it? How did Uhaul take a payment out for months but missed September and not have our info to notify us? Obviously the person you transferred everything did a horrible job. The day we did this transfer there everything was unorganized so I guess that's the reason. When my husband went down yesterday to figure it out, the answer was we are not sure. Something wrong with symptoms. We'll figure it out. We should have received a letter, email, call to let us know payment was not taken out. This is no a move in experience. We have had this unit for 5 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amber K. | Premières impressionsThe office hours for this location are convenient, but it's impossible to reach anyone by phone, even when they're there. After 4:30, the phone switches to a call center, which doesn't make sense when the store is open until 7 pm. On top of that, the employees are not knowledgeable on their products, the call center people can't help at all, and they're rude. The only person I found helpful at this location is the manager, but that's only when he's able to be reached. I was told when I booked the unit that I would get 1 month of storage for free, but when I arrived I was told that wasn't possible, and had to pay for the full month right then. On top of that, they don't prorate, so I would have had to pay for a 2nd month when I only needed the unit for 6 weeks. I ended up leaving after 3. I would not recommend this location to anyone until they make some major changes.

But the mistakes you made with the truck and storage made an awful day the absolute worst day I've had in the last 10 years. They make every thing seem possible online, but once you've done the reservation, they're employees are the ones that have to try to shuffle everything to make it happen, and most times they can't do it. I'll never ever recommend uhaul to anyone at this point now. And I'm seriously considering a lawsuit at this point. I'm disabled and had a reservation but they made me run in the Arizona sun to make up for their mistake, and I'm still paying the price physically.

So basically they refused to honor the promised free month due to being at capacity and God forbid they lose $135 after I just spent over $1 800 for a rental. Seeing how I needed the space that day and had movers hired, I had no choice but to agree to the complete and utter disregard for following their own promotion.

Unbeknownst to me my auto pay was interrupted, I received a late notice with a late fee. So my first thought was is all my stuff gone? I called Josh the manager at the store to get this straightened out. Once he explained about experation on card and cc numbers changing when getting another card. I would have thought the idiots at my bank would inform me about it. Go figure . Then the extra amount was a blow also. I know it is only $16 but right now every penny counts. Josh explained everything to me and he took off the late fee. Most places dont operate like this especially corporations because it is about the bottom line. Now remember I have multiple life issues going on now that the last thing g I need is another headdd ache. With josh taking off the late fee ( without having to argue about)made my day. Because of his kindness I will be renting for at least two more months at $76 per mo. Instead of paying the whole bill and closing out my storage with yall. So acting in good faith for me as a customer , your company just profited $132 instead of $16. Not to mention me talking to everyone about it and I have a big mouth. I have spoken with josh before and he has always been a professional but today he went over and above . He deserves to be recognized and not just by me. I hope you ( uhaul) treat and acknowledge your employees that got over and above like josh took care of me yesterday. Thank you for your time. I would like a call back from corporate to know this does not fall on deaf ears. Thank you again

On the website it says to leave the key card inside the unit and close the door when vacating. But, you need the keycard to open the gate to exit the facility. This is confusing so someone may need to make a change to this. Otherwise, great facility. If I need storage in the future I will try here 1st.

Finally ended up at the one on the frontage road off of Cortaro where I was rescued from the horrible attacks at the 4040 ina location!! Service man accused me of being drunk! And in a location never had a dui in my life and was not Inebriated when I returned five hours early next day was again repeatedly abused by the same person! Was redirected to Cortaro location ,where I received proper treatment by staff that seemed to care! Joshua the manager there made things right for me! Thank God for him and his courteous staff!...please note something is very wrong at the 4040 ina location! I'm 72 years old a disabled American vet! I did not deserve to be treated abusively by the people at 4040 ina location! Was one of the worst experiences ever by co personnel!. God help anybody who goes into that place I'm talking about 4040 ina road!

The previous one (Lubbock, TX) was all wood, concrete floor, but a swinging wooden door, like a barn. It wasn't as roomy. But, this one today was pleasantly impressive. Clean & modern.
