I have done business with John multiple time every time it's five star been please with John customer service. This time I was not please with a person name Don or Donald Very poor customer service Bad attitude, he never took the time to walk out and show me where the Box Van at made me feel very stupid when I ask him a question. I've never going back to that location again. Until I speak to Jhon the General manager.

Spoke with several staff of u-haul nothing was available. Called marrero office, spoke with John he was very knowledgeable, friendly and very courteous!!. I rented a storage unit from you guys as well very convenience. I will use use both again and will recommend to family and friends. Wonderful experience.

Store manager booking rentals threw his own phone instead of the store computer adding extra mileage from his estimation what he googled which was wrong. He Doesn't check the truck mileage before you leave like he suppose to neither does he check the gas. He gave me the truck on empty and said it had a quarter tank and I brought it back with a half of tank and still charged me a cleaning fee for a little dust that was in the back of the truck, saying it's my fault I didn't bring the truck back on empty like who rides around till a truck is on empty. Took a pic of the mileage before and after and he still charge me the higher mileage he google and added threw his phone. Refuse to give me his boss name and everything happened on the store camera. The store definitely needs a new manager cause dude is a compulsive liar.

I repeatedly tried to reserve my storage unit for the 22nd. It instead reserved for the 14th. I called multiple people and tried to get my reservation corrected. Someone later called me to see why I was not using the storage unit, I advised I did not need it yet and tried several times to correct the date. I then sent a chat to fix it online, with Vicki, she was rude and said they didn't care. So I have had an overall bad experience with uhaul and would never use them again. I plan to have my stuff out of storage and cancel the unit right away. It has been too much of a hassle.

The $29'99 rental became almost $150. The truck seemed like the gears were not shifting. It grinded quit a ways then got quiter. I was so uncomfortable driving by myself in the dark. I am an elderly female. Soooo stressful I will not do it again.

I ordered a 20ft truck and got a 15ft truck. Then I ordered it from 11am till 7pm and was told I must have it back by 5pm! No one called me to tell me that I could not rent it after 5! If I would have known this I would have picked it up earlier! Then I was texted and called several times to make sure I was back by 5! I ask what was the late fee if I was not back by 5 and they could not provide the amount of the late fee? I have been doing business with this place for years and this was the worse service I've ever had there! I'm not sure what changed but it is not the same. The truck I did use was dirty and ran horribly! I was able to make 2 trips and return it! It was almost not worth my time or money! Never again!

The only thing I noticed that the"Lock Bracket System"to hold the equipment down inside the back of the -haul box truck are not"Sturdy Enough", The Dually Inside the back came UnDone.... Other than that everything else was Excellent.

I've rented from this location on several occasions. I'm finally at the point of being totally convinced that the employee and manager are in desperate need of professional training.The manager has the demeanor of someone that doesn't realize that customers may be dealing with personal issues when coming to rent vehicles or equipment. His cold , rude and unwelcoming attitude is a poor representation of the company. I experienced a bad attitude on several different occasions in the past with this individual. I went to the location on October 23rd to reserve a covered trailer for the following day. After making the reservation I asked if there was a way to do a test on my trailer lights connector to make certain that I would have no issues the next day that would hinder my schedule. There were no other customers in the office at the time. He said that it would require me hooking up to the trailer ( which is not true because he had t tester on his keys that he was wearing on his neck at the time) He said that I would just have to take my chances the next day. On the next day of course there was a problem with the connection. I had the problem repaired but it definitely impacted my schedule. When I returned he was not on site. The employee that hitched the trailer did not do a very good hook up. The chain was dragging the ground. When I went to return . I pulled to the exact spot of the hook up. The employee ( whose name I don't know but her face is covered with piercings) told me that I would have to back down the long driveway with trailers on one side and the building on the other to return the trailer. I informed her that I was not confident about backing up with the trailer down the long driveway. She rudely insisted that I do it. I refused to take the chance of damaging my vehicle, the trailer are the building. The manager entered the building and I was standing in the doorway. He walked very closely past me without a greeting or excuse me. He came out to disconnect the trailer and noticed how scarred the chain connecting the trailer was. I told him that the trailer was connected by his employee and it was dragging from the moment I picked it up. He rudely questioned if I had purchased the insurance for the trailer rental. I told him that I did and asked why he was asking. He said he needed to check my contract ( despite the fact that I just verbally answered his question). He suggested that he was going to charge me for the damaged chain that the employee had connected poorly. I'm glad that I am able to submit this review and hope that it will be looked into. Merci

My complaint is not with this location but with another. I made my reservation at the Lapalco location but was told that my reservation was being moved to a different location because they didn't have my truck anymore. I thought your reservation was guaranteed but I guess this location makes there own rules. When i got to the location they sent me to i was told that my truck was sitting at the other location i had requested it from so that was frustrating to hear since i had to drive completely out of my way to get to the new location. If i would have been able to pick up the truck from the location I originally reserved at I would have driven less miles since it was in the middle of the locations i was moving furniture from so because the original location was being lazy it cost me more money. Also, the link i was sent to check in the truck after i was done did not work and i ended up getting charged an extra fee that i had to call about getting refunded which was a headache that could have been avoided if the check in process would have worked.

Start by training the store manager that honesty pays. Teach him how not discriminate against black people and the importance of respecting women as customers and not a chance to have sex with Teach the team that the manager is not always right and they shouldn't treat a customer bad just because the manager doesn't like the customer the workers don't look fresh some of them have clothes on you can't tell if they are a worker or a person who walked out of the streets

I was billed for the equipment when I tried to rent the trailer. I was not shown that when I got there and was billed another 68 dollars for the auto hauler. Didn't realize I till I went to return the trailer and they guy at the store told me that it was going to be refunded that first payment it wasn't supposed to be there. He knew what the first charge was for and that they didn't even attempt to give me the equipment I was billed for so he didn't have to deal with me. Made me call the 1800 number only to find out that I may have to wait a week to get my money back and also my bank account will be in the negative by Monday morning with something that is being auto drafted. Thanks u haul you really gave me the shaft today. After ida this is the situation I'm in and I have not gotten a paycheck in 30 days.

I have been a customer of this location since 2015. I am in a climate controlled unit which is rarely climate controlled; I do understand the meaning. It is miserable hot in my unit that several items have been ruined since they have been in there. Isn't that the entire purpose of climate control? I've gone in there and the thermostat reads over 86. The manager from 2015 was rude and obnoxious and charged my card without permission and caused me NSF fees. I also get paid every few months and I attempted to explain that to her so we could work out a plan and she would not hear it. So I am constantly paying these outrageous fees. I always pay my storage which usually costs me between $550 and $750 estimated. All depends on how my check comes in and how much I have left over or can borrow. I've been a customer for 6 years and one would think you would make the conscious effort to work with a long standing customer but obviously not. So my situation is changing and in the next couple of months I will purchase a storage unit and move away from Uhaul since Uhaul obviously does not value me as a customer it prefers the $75 to $150 in late fees over the original $139,95 ($1 679,4 yearly) then you became greedy and I'm sure Uhaul is using Covid as the excuse for the $10 increase in rent and now you stand to collect $1 799,4 yearly plus the outrageous late fees when you know 100 percent you will receive all rent monies from me. Greediness is what kills business and unwillingness to work with your good customers is what causes loss of customers and spread of bad customer service. Uhaul once was a name everyone respected and was proud to use and now we all look for alternative sources; ask yourselves why. Go onto the location off the west bank expressway in Marrero, LA where I am located and read the unpleasant remarks. I have called and complained numerous times. My father was in business since I was 2 years of age until the day he passed away at 75, I was 51. People still stop me and say they wish he were still here and what a great man he was and I could go on. That's when you know you have excellent customer satisfaction. I bet the Uhaul bean counters wouldn't receive shelter during a catastrophe from any white or blue collar workers.
