It would have been nice that since I returned it at around 7 pm that I would not have been charged for a whole 2nd day since I had no use for it the 2nd day. Plus they charged me an additional 3,00 $ and didn't even tell me why. But otherwise I was very thankful for it because without it my move would have been very stressful as I'm a single mom with 2 small children and currently 6 months pregnant. The service was great. The truck was perfectly clean, however, the driver's side bottom mirror has a broken bracket. The reverse lights were out. The driver's side door has to be slammed excessively hard in order to get it to close properly. Something is rattling inside the cab. It sounds like a cooler of ice shifting around. 10/7 -Equipment was confirmed to be in Waterloo for Friday pickup 10/8 -was told it was not available, nearest trailer was in Marshalltown (64 miles away, 128 miles RT) Had to go get it - they wouldn't move it here. What good does it do to make a reservation, if, they're just gonna tell you a day ahead where the closest equipment is?JAMES W.
I have rented a truck two times & one storage unit from this location in the past week. They are obviously under staffed as you typically have quite a wait time then when it's your turn they rush you through it. Also inside the truck they put a utility dolly & furniture pads with a zip tie lock on them. They get in the way & take space away from the items you're moving. In my case the zip tie broke on the dolly while moving furniture out of the truck so I got charged a rental fee for it when I didn't even really use itBRYCE H.

At the beginning of our experience there seemed to always be screws and nails in front of the parking lot. Seems to me the employees of this u-haul need to establish a daily routine of going around and making sure things are picked up and clean. Also we had on our day of moving out a roach came out from under a box. We now had to go through everything and make sure we were not taking with us these bad and nasty cruisers. Think if they would bomb every other month to prevent this from happening. Other than these the staff is differently helpful. Chris the manager bends over backwards in making things right. Customer service skills were slow. Address information was requested 3-5 times for every single question. We were at the U-haul company for pick up for 75 minutes to get a truck in the process of loading a storage shed and this down time was very frustrating! The employee placed the order to return the truck on July 6th at 10;00 when I told her multiple times that we were leaving the truck set in the parking lot of the Super 8 hotel until Monday morning , July 6th when we would be leaving Iowa with the truck to drive to Missouri!JULIE P.

He didn't tell us there was extra cost if we went over certain milage (rented truck for one way)...was taken back when the return person told us of the extra cost. When I booked the trailer it was 32$ a day and when I checked a few days later it was 55$ then when we picked up the trailer it was 60$.
