I've always held Uhaul in high esteem. It is my preferred choice for any moving services. I repeatedly had great experiences with this company. Not only have I been a customer numerous times, but I was also an Authorized Delear for Uhaul with at least 17 to 20 trucks at a location I moved away from.In my time running a Uhaul services, not under any condition have I treated any customer with the irreverence they gave me. I trained my employees how to speak to customers with dignity and respect, no matter the situation, the customer will always be treated the right way. They need help. Upon my arrival, I immediately did not feel welcomed. I did not feel the hospitality that I have always received from Uhaul's great customer service. The employees did not seem to care in the slightest. They have no regard for customers' concerns. I asked Margaret, one of the employees, if they had a lost and found because we were missing boxes with our belongings. She quickly responded with a "NO." I would not be complaining if she had only said no, but she further said, "ME PERSONALLY, IF I FOUND A BOX OUTSIDE, I WILL TOSS IT IN THE GARBAGE AND THEN WRITE A NOTE HERE." We then asked for the general manager hoping that he could be a little more helpful than Margaret. I asked the same question and he said "RIGHT HERE" and pointed beside him where there was nothing. I felt utterly disrespected. That is not how you handle customer service. They had an immense amount of attitude at this location and they don't seem to care about their customers and concerns. This wasn't the first time I had a terrible experience at this same location. They had the same inferior attitude and inattentive work ethic when I was checking in my equipment and getting a storage unit the first time I arrived. The general manager Eric didn't seem to care as well. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!!! Go somewhere else that will give u respect and treat you like a valuable customer.

The price I paid for a small unit was excessive. I was paying $69+ for a no climate control. Then it was raised several dollars more. That was the last straw I was paying $63 for a climate control and same size storage bay previously when I lived in Laveeen last year. You might want to adjust your pricing.. just suggesting!

Maggie provided information regarding location of our RV site, how to access (via access card) and hours of access to the storage facility. She let me know that for a small monthly fee, we could have access 24/7. I passed on that option as I cannot imagine a situation where we would need to park or access our RV after the standard access hours. We tried the card and it was noted that it may take a few hours until it was activated. I was provided with a temporary code so I could go to the site and have any questions addressed while I was still on the premises. I took a look and confirmed that there was a dump station as that was important to me. Maggie was kind, helpful and provided excellent customer service. I would recommend this Uhaul location to friends and family.

I was transferred three times to different locations for a truck I reserved two weeks in advance. As a result, the movers i hired had to wait and i was late getting the truck so they could work. Additionally, i did not get the truck i reserved. I got a smaller one which was a huge inconvenience. All uhaul employees i dealt with were rude and unprofessional. They did not seem to care. I also had to drive very far to finally get the truck.

Customer service at location was good. I rented a 26' truck. It was used hard, 160,000 miles but was ok. On the second day the service transmission light came on. Went off after restart engine. On third day service transmission came on again. It caused it not to go in first gear. Aftee engine restart, worked again. Next morning took it back to UHaul location and exchanged for another 26'. It was another used hard truck, dirty windows, sticky steering wheel, dirty cargo area. This caused me lost time on loading. Next day on drive, the exhaust pipe fell off the manifold. Had to pull over off highway, called Roadside Service, again customer service from Linda was good. They dispatched a mechanic, after 4 hour delay, was on road again. Overall, I would use UHaul again. But I am really dissapointed in the trucks provided. I caused me a delay and added concern during an already stressful move of my home. Ken Ward

I would like to thank you for your time and consideration into my storage rental from UHaul. Your decision to allow me to clean the storage and remove all the item for a zero balance was beyond gracious of you and your team. I have no words other than it was extremely appreciated and you have blessed my life more than you realize. I lost my Dad a few months ago and my partner lost her Mother 3 weeks ago. Between funeral arrangements, funeral expenses, travel, hosting family during those hard times and also home schooling kids ... it’s been financially, emotionally and physically draining. I am a responsible person and accountable for my past mistakes and not taking care of the storage was always on my mind (rather, mistakingly trusting my ex to take care of it)... which I thought she did. All in all, thank you so much for your generosity and allowing me to clean the storage. You removed a “brick” of stress from my shoulders and I will need to pay it forward somehow. I requested a rental at a different location and the truck wasn't available. I was then sent to another location that was 15 minutes away. In which I had to wait 15 minutes for service. I thought since I requested a truck online and the location didn't have it, I would get a discount but that didn't happen. Overall the equipment was great but the service lacked.

The worker was not wearing a mask. Walked up to the vehicle, took the keys -- again, did not inspect with us there. Did not give me a receipt. Then I got a call the next day that the vehicle wasn't returned. Very stressful after an already stressful move.

A complete lack of customer service is what we received from Eric and Anthony. When the utility dolly that was forgotten, the lady who answered was initially nice but as soon as I asked for corporates information to file a complaint against Anthony and Eric she changed her tone in voice and was no longer pleasant. When we returned the vehicle Matt who was outside checking in vehicles returned was short and irritated that we didn't put our money in the bank and had to pay the extra mileage in cash. Ty was the only pleasant person in the entire experience. I work at a call center and the LACK of customer service this location gave us was beyond disgusting. Word of mouth is key and returning customers are supposed to be valued. But this locations showed UHaul doesn't place any importance on customer service.

This location is new and looks great. I've rented here 3-5 times over the past 2 years. What I can say is the staff is NOT friendly. There has never been a smile or eye contact or anything that makes me feel welcome or appreciation for renting at this location. The van I rented had dried bugs all over the window and hadn't been vacuumed. I inadvertently left my cell phone in the van. When I returned, I found it on the floor of the van in plain sight. If they'd actually cleaned the van, they would have seen it. Again, my biggest concern, is the staff.

This is the second uhaul I have been to out here and my experience with the first one was way better, this place I had to go get the truck myself the pictures that I had to compare the vehicle to were taken at night and when I brought the vehicle back the guy said he was going to charge me a gas fee and I told him that I have two photos from when to when I came back the gas needle didn't move and he still didn't believe me and the his response was like I guess I can believe you and as of right now I two pending transactions for u haul so idk if he just went ahead and charged me the gas fee anyways. So no this was a good experience

Eric, your Agent Maggie was amazing. We had an uncontrollable event where the 20’ truck we reserved was not returned to the location as scheduled. We were offered a 15’ truck but weren’t sure our stored belongings would fit. Maggie searched every local location for a truck for us and was able to secure a trailer (free of charge) to make up the difference in cu sq ft. She also added an extra day and mileage. The trailer was at another location and the dealer there flat out refused to give us the trailer unless we paid for it. In the end, made the 15’ trailer work (hubby is great at Tetris). Maggie again came to our rescue the next day when my husband was checking out and closing the storage unit contract, which was in my name. She authorized the closure which we very much appreciated. Maggie went above and beyond our expectations, she deserves recognition as a valuable asset to your location, Eric. Thank you.

It all went pretty smoothly. I've rented from U-Haul many times and have used round padlocks also but was stumped by the lock that used a word instead of numbers. We had the phrase right but none of us knew how to open it and when the employee came out he popped it off quickly. It would be quite helpful to not only give the lock phrase but how to pull (??) the lock open. We were out in 100+ temperatures, trying to operate a lock that had been soaking up sun & was nearly too hot to touch:(

Truck was not cleaned or sanitized-there was garbage in the cab, even after the attendant “cleaned it” once I notified the office that it was dirty. The truck was damaged- trailer skirting completely ripped off of one side. The female in the office as well as Anthony who “cleaned” the truck both had horrible attitudes! The truck was marked as having zero miles on it, which would have amounted to a $13,000 charge!!

To many stoopied roles to just rent a storage unit. To much Reddick less paperwork. U have to wate forever to get assistance, I had one customer ask me if any budy worked t here. The guy who cheeked me in was a jerk. They wonted 3 peple as resfersonce. I don't know anybody, so I was forced to lie just so I could rent a storage unit, pretty sad. And a big company like u and u don't give milatery discount, now that's really bad, just out for the money huh?

This comment is for training purposes for the lady that waited on me. She did not have the detailed answers to my questions regarding the different coverage for the insurance that was offered, someone else had to explain the answers to me. Also, she verbally directed me to the rental truck instead of walking me out to it. I was not able to inspect the truck because it was parked too close to the other trucks. I had to go back inside the UHaul store for assistance with getting access to the truck. At that time the lady came out to drive the truck out of the small space that it was parked in so I could complete the inspection. Upon returning the truck I did not stop for gas. Due to the close distance of the area that I drove and back to the UHaul store, I used very little gas but the service guy that I returned the truck to said I would be charged $43 for the gas. I did not use $43 worth of gas but he said that's policy. I don't agree with that policy.

Overall excellent very satisfied, however on the day of move out, there was an awful smell starting in the elevator which smelled like something had died. Placing mice traps can be a good thing but if one has been caught in a closed storage; how do you get them out if the person does not come for days to notice the catch. I'm confident you will be more consciously aware and carefully consider the safety in which all your patrons can stay healthy while in your establishment, since the Covid-19 has scarred us to a panic please keep cleanliness a priority.

The reception was rude when I called back to let her know that I had requested for 24 hour service and she put down for 6 hours..when I called Maggie answered and she was so rude when she told me its marked here you got u haul truck for 24 hours..I told yes becau she e I had talked to Ty.. than i said thank you..I just didnt want to be liable for xtra money if it had been put down for a different time..I had gotten an email with her ingor for 6 hours..But Ty took care of it..and everything was great!! I will definitely go back but will not do business with her..she has NO Customer service!!!

The only problem I had was when I called back to actually rent the unit and was on hold for 15 min only to be transferred to a customer service rep (someone named Juan) who told me I had to come in and sign a contract even though I had already spoken to someone who was ready to make the deal over the phone. The customer service rep spoke to me like I was an idiot and didn't seem to want to help me. It's all good though because I called back and got another individual who was more accomodating.

The person that helped me at the desk with my rental was not very friendly, he did his job well but was not very helpful or flexible. I have gone to this location many time and i have been treated better sometimes than others, My truck had a check engine light on when I get in the truck and less than a 1/2 tank of gas. When ever I have gone into this place it has always been clean and neat, so that is good. I rent often so like to have nice truck that are well kept and in good working shape. Thanks,

The older lady working there was condescending and a liar. I checked online for a trailer for a 3 day rental, it was available. When I arrived she said they can only tent for 6 hours they don't rent for 3 days. I had to go and reserve online, then reurn and pick up the trailer. Wasted over an hour because she wouldn't help.

When I first walked in, there was no staff member to help me. I waited about 10 mins until someone walked out from the back office. When a new staff member assisted me, she informed me there was a balance on my account, I kindly let her know I paid for everything and was there to only get the auto transport placed on the U-Haul 15' truck I had already loaded with my belongings. I had to wait for the gentleman that helped me initially to become available so he could explain why there was a balance on my account. I did not owe anything else, and he finished helping me.

Why it took almost 6 people to look at a vehicle to either get its trailer loaded or to have me and others almost sitting in the busy street of Mckellips to get in to return a trailer. Then not having the people out of the way. Im handicapped and yet I was expected to know how to drive and backup the trailer exactly into a spot so the employee who is paid for this didnt have to do as much work. the lady who was to remove the trailer also seemed to have attitude, which i really didnt appreciate. upon renting the trailer im assuming because of the heat the people really dont want to do much work. This location compared to the ones in Gilbert seem very lacking, no motivation from any employees and down right depressing. Also tried to rent a storage unit, and that failed from when i did it online which didnt take, came in, and no more rentals even though i reserved online, so had to go to a different rental agency for a storage unit.

From the time I walked into the facility, I was greted by Margaret friendly and smiley face as well as her passionate tone willing to help me. Margaret was super kind and assisted with my reservation which made my rental process a walk in the park. Upon returning the equipment, I was then greeted by Anthony whom expressed Kindness, Politeness, and Courteous Service. I have rented from U Haul on several occasions, I have never received this type of Supurb Customer Service. U-Haul name stands alone, however this duo of a team is totally outstanding. I would recommend everyone to rent from this location if they ever want to see an Awesome team showing what being Professional, Kind, Passionate, and Friendly Customer Service is all about. Thank You again Margaret and Anthony.

I feel that the staff was knowledgeable and very helpful; just maintaining a friendly atmosphere is always the key to satisfaction. I had to return to look for some keys that I had lost; which a very patient older man took the time to locate the truck I had rented, went out in the heat, stopped to help someone else in the parking lot; then came back with my keys in his hand! Make sure all employees are on the same page on poliwecies and that equipment is completely inspected. Employees were going to let me drive off with a auto transport that didn't have the pull out ramps necessary to actually load the car 🤦‍♂️ I noticed this as I inspected it before leaving.

There was only one employee who I want to work with from the entire staff and that is Miss Maggie. It seems that she is the only one there who knows how to talk to customers, has knowledgable information about UHAUL, and is professional to customers. Every other person (except for another woman) was unprofessional and it was confusing/difficult to work with them. When I went to close the storage unit facility out another male employee, Tyca I believe his name is, told me I was good to go but didn't go and check my unit at all. He seemed to be in a hurry as he was getting ready to finish his shift. At the time I had believed him until a week later when I received a late notice saying that I was fined for a late payment. I called UHAUL and talked to a woman on the phone who was able to fix the entire mess up but I was still annoyed that I had to go through that ordeal when I was told I had nothing else further to worry about from a different employee. Additionally, we had rented a 15 foot UHAUL, dolly, and car transport that same day so I had different moving pieces that made the entire day more complicated for us. After Miss Maggie had left for the day, I felt that my services were disorderly and I had to get in front of an employee if I wanted any help at all - otherwise I would be waiting a very long time until someone asked me if I needed help. Overall, I will rate this Mesa UHAUL as average because Maggie is a wonderful employee but the other men are unprofessional and don't seem to communicate well with each other or the customers. Furthermore, I'm very happy that when I called my problem was fixed. I wouldn't suggest this UHAUL to a friend though because of how many issues I encountered unless they strictly do their business with Maggie or another woman at the establishment.

I started out at one uhaul facility on Apache Blvd and the 101 I rented there for about four months then the guy I was sharing space with started to hang out there a bit to much and started associating with some other people there and all them started to be in my unit as well so I thought the best thing to do was remove myself from the situation and at the same time my family member was talking to the president of the company and was letting him know what was going I thought I was all good and wanted to stay with uhaul so I rented another space at mckellips and Mesa Dr...it's called uhaul riverview....I even payed an extra ten dollars this month for the 24 HR drive in...well within one week they came and told me my 24 HR service was being takin away due to what was going on at the last unit I had and I had to have office hours to be able to get into my unit...no not gate hours as though that's what I thought office hours 7 am to 7 pm..I was really upset I started to cry cause I did nothing wrong buy move out and distance myself from the issue.i also asked if they was going to return my ten dollars for that service and they told me no they kept it..so I went through the rest of that month with those rules And when I went to pay on my unit I asked if my hours could be back to normal I was. Asking for gate hours at this time no 24 HR thing ...I was told they couldn't do it cause of the issue at the other unit at a totally different facility and I did nothing but move..I told Eric the manager there that I was going to move my thing then and give my money to someone who respected my money and time...I would never recommend uhaul to anyone I was treated as if I did something wrong and I even had to pay for it so if anyone would like to know go to right space storage they are cheaper the space is bigger and the employees there treat you with respect and kindness....Broadway and long more in Mesa check them out stay away from uhaul they only want your money

I've been renting trailers from this location periodically and always seem to get to deal with Anthony; Anthony also worked with me on this unit rental. GREAT service and he really knows what he is doing - he is representing your company well. Some surveys ask if I would hire individuals based on my experience with them - I would definitely hire Anthony!

My experience was horrible. They rented me a unit. We walked to the unit it had already been rented. The card they gave us didn’t work either. I had to finally take an outside unit. We drove over there and all the paperwork directions were wrong so we had to figure that out to even find the unit. They said they could put me on a list if an inside unit would come available but that it was a very long list and I probably wouldn’t get one.

I rented a 20 ft truck for a cross country move. The big deciding factor for me was the free month of storage. When I got to my destination I was told I would only get a unit of up to 10x10, if they had one available. Otherwise they could only give me a 5x10 unit. As you know the contents of a full 20 ft truck will not fit in a 5x10 unit. After much discussion the storage manager Maggie decided, out of the goodness of her heart to give me two 5x10 units but only if she had them side by side, which luckily she did. Going to another location would have been costly since I had to return the truck to that location to get the free month since I had already dropped the car trailer off there the day before. It was only with a lot of work and adjusting to get my belongings to fit. I only needed the unit a week, as I had anticipated. Checking out was better since Maggie wasn't there. She was borderline rude, condescending to customers and other staff, and made me feel like she was doing me huge favors. I later learned she was wrong. A family member who moved the week before, and rerurned to another location got a 10x15 unit, same size truck, same origination point, one week earlier. I will not return to that location and will tell anyone who asks not to use that location either. I rented a trailer to move my belongings out, from another location, and they were 180 degrees better. I wish I had gone there for my storage but they were full.

Over priced and had to pay to use the dumpster which was way over priced as well besides not likeing the price of how much i had to pay a month its very clean well maintained and nice staff
