Roberto TAbsolute the worst Uhaul experience ever! I picked up the truck and it only had 1/4 tank of fuel exactly with dash showing 47 miles to empty. I drove a total of 21 miles and filled the truck up before I returned ($13,08) worth, returning the truck 30 minutes early with more than 1/4 tank and the dash showing 70 miles to empty. So I returned the vehicle with MORE fuel then when I picked it up and this location had the audacity to charge me $8,08 for fuel! I called and told I would have to come in and show proof of the fuel level and mileage before they could refund me, so I did and I was never refunded. I went down there twice with proof and walked out no refund even though they said they would since my pictures proved I was correct. Absolute crooks run this location. Also the truck was disgusting inside and out. AVOID THIS UHAUL LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Ryan MWork on your customer service, cleanliness & vehicle upkeep. Our truck was filthy on the interior, candy wrappers left, sticky substances spilled, smelled awful, just extremely dirty. I was willing to overlook that part but then the heat would not come on on a chilly day. So we were already across town with no heat in a filthy UHaul. I called Tammy W to let her know, and her response was garbage - she would not proceed with a refund and said just bring it back - mind you we were already across town. Terrible attitude over the phone, employees rude and condescending, and did not offer to make anything right. We will never be using this Erie Blvd. location again, as their customer service and cleanliness were both disgusting. I will be reaching out to corporate regarding these issues.

It took 20 minutes to get checked in when there was no line due to either there being issues with the internet or with the company system. The staff members had mentioned that it had been like that most the day and apologized several times for it taking as long as it did. I commend them for their efforts to make the best of a difficult situations as they also mentioned it was far from the only time.

Returning the truck, I refilled the fuel to the checkout level; even returning to the cashier to put in an additional $5 over the $12 to make sure it was a smidgen above the checkout level. I had noticed that the truck seemed to be consuming fuel excessively on the way to the move site... From the gas station (little over a mile) back to the return I could see the Guage moving. When I dropped it off it was now a smidgen below the checkout level. I was charged an additional $19 .so I ended up paying $36 to go 38 total miles driven. I discussed it with management and after much back and forth and reviewing mileage and records, was refunded the $19. I know now to follow all checkout protocols, making sure any problems with the truck are gone over before leaving, and keep gas receipts and mile

William EWeb site allowed me to reserve a van for a one way trip. Vans are not available for one way trips. Desk person sent me to another location for a box truck. The available truck was filthy and had bald tires. I called Uhaul 800 and was sent back to the original location for a box truck...jeez! Rented truck had transmission issues, but I made it to the destination safely.

There is another U-Haul about 8 minutes away that I would give 5 stars. This facility location was 2 minutes away The website DOES NOT mention that the only ONE elevator is closed at 6pm and on weekends earlier. So I found out the hard way that I had to climb up 3 flights on narrow wooden staircases with boxes. Plus the elevator is a manual and requires lifting gates and turning a lever to go up and down. Elevator from the 30's. And if the elevator is being used on the upper floor then you have to wait until it comes down by the operator or you can try asking for assistance from the office. Well good luck with that. I asked and had to find the elevator by myself. The owner and staff know they have a captive audience with students who are less reluctant to complain. I did told them that they should have put everything on the website. Their reply was no reply. I gave it 2 stars because in the end I managed and I didn't have a heart attack.

My biggest frustration was the building only had one freight elevator. My unit was on the 6th floor. If someone was moving in/out, you literally had to wait for them to unload/load a whole moving truck before you could use the elevator. I guess if you have small items, you could use the stairs and not wait for the elevator but with my unit being on the 6th floor, that was not about about happen. This building isn't extremely busy so if you don't have time restraints, then only having 1 freight elevator isn't that big of a deal. I rented the unit just under 4 weeks because I had to stay in a hotel while waiting for my apartment to get ready. On 2 occasions I had to come back to access my unit because someone was moving in/out. Overall I liked the storage facility and would recommend.

Then I was placed in a unit that requires the portable staircase, which is not what I wanted. However, since it took over an hour to get to the unit because of the short staffed office I was not about to re-do the reservation.
