I was charged for an entire month. The 2nd month, when I only used 4 days. It was impossible to get a hold of someone to discuss situation. They couldn't find my contract under contract number or phone number. This caused many problems because I had to call in many tes and they never could find my record.They put so many furniture pads it used up a lot of the space. I only used 5. The other 3 packs used up alott of space in the unit. When I called to see what could be done with them, they stated I could drop at nearest Uhaul. When I asked if that Uhaul would put into the computer how many I dropped off so I would not be charged, they didn't answer and repeated that I could drop off at the nearest Uhaul location. I think you hire a bunch of drug addicts; definitely not the smartest.

This UHaul location is understaffed and does not have enough resources. There are very few trucks available. Although the staff was as helpful as they could be, there is no communication between the call center and this location. I called the reservations line twice to make sure this site would have my U-boxes available for me when I went to access them. When I got there, a manager told me there was no scheduled pickup. Furthermore, the lock I had put on one of the U-boxes was gone and had been replaced with a standard UHaul lock with no available key. I was afraid my stuff had been tampered with. Although, thankfully, that did not seem to be the case, there was no record on their computers as to why the lock was changed and what happened to mine. This is definitely stressful and disconcerting to the customer. The staff at this site did the best they can, but they have limited resources and I had to go elsewhere to get a truck to come back and unload my U-boxes.The quality of service could be much better.

The furniture pads stained my white furniture! I’m very upset as it it only a year old. And my box wasn’t picked up on time. There said there was a miscommunication and came early the next day but it was inconvenient waiting around all day. If it wasn’t going to be picked up on the day I asked then I should of been notified earlier on. I had to call multiple time asking where the people were to pick my box up for shipment.

Every time I called Uhaul I was on hold for over 30 minutes. Then I was transferred 8-10 times per call. I wasn’t informed ahead of time that Uhaul doesn’t actually deliver the pods to my final destination in San Diego and that a 3rd party mover would have to be employed in order to deliver the pods, for a much higher price than originally quoted by Uhaul. In the future, I will go with a full service mover like Mayflower, as the price is about the same and you get a lot more for the price.

In all honesty, I am very frustrated with the service. Yes the staff was very friendly but at the end of the day my Ubox showed up damaged and many items within my box were broken and tossed away. For example, my bed frame got ripped apart, my dining tabletop had been scratched and stained and some of the dishes broke. All the cardboard boxes were destroyed and some of the furniture pads had ripped. It’s a miracle that not more things were broken. Upon arrival, the lock set up needed to be ripped apart to open the box because the metal brackets were dented and jammed in. I don’t know what happened during transport but all I know is that the box was poorly transported. It feels like it was dropped or turned over as there was considerable damage within both the exterior and interior of the box.

My experience was renting 2 u-boxes to move from Hemet, CA to Mobile, AL. Overall it was a positive experience with good service on both ends & we felt like good value for money. My only complaint would be in first trying to book the service online - I felt confused by the application & when I called the information number for uhaul I felt like they didn’t know too much about u-boxes & were not helpful!

The fuel charge is not true. Absolutely not. I was given the truck with 3/16 of a tank. Which is bad service to begin with. We fueled it up. Absolutely was not left with less than what we started.

I was unable to get the truck since the code provided for lockbox did not work!!! What I dont understand is why I got charged for 26$ ??? Bad experience with the app and location without any physical person !! Fortunatly I got a truck a bit further with persons to help me out...
