Had a very disappointing experience with UHaul of Monroe. Reserved a 15' truck 2 weeks in advance. Day before our move they called us and tell us they don't have a truck for us. Had to accept a 10' truck at that late date. UHaul of Monroe knows how to make a reservation, they don't know how to keep the reservation..RICHARD WALTER P.

Went there on Sunday and rented a trailer. The store manager helped me that time and my experience was pretty good. Went back the next day to rent a truck and the experience was horrible. Inside of the truck was dirty. Mom's attic was covered in dirt. Cab of the truck wreaked of cigarettes and still had the last person's paperwork in it. Thankfully I checked before I left or they would have forgotten to give me the dolly I paid for. And then I learned that U-Haul has some pretty deceptive advertising practices because my 20-ft truck only had 16-ft worth of space in the back. U-haul has become one of those companies that's too big to be held accountable.Brian G.

The hitch install area looked a bit disorganized - i wouldn't trust a mechanic with that sort of workshop. The single gentleman at the counter was busy. Would have liked an option to dropping off the dolly without having to enter the store. - if there was an option, would have liked better indication on how to do that with the dolly specifically,Benancio P.

Again I was never advised I was even being charged extra. I have used uhaul numerous times and have never had an issue. After this time I am totally disgusted with uhaul. I cannot believe after everything I went thru u guys had the nerve to charge me anything extra!MYRNA M.

I had an 1130pm pickup needed to move over 50 heavy appliances and the appliance dolly that I paid to rent and was supposed to be in the truck wasn't there and they knew it wasn't because the location only has one dolly! The interior of the box area was dirty. Then they charged me for 8 gallons of gas when the needle was exactly where it was when I picked it up and I showed them the pictures. I'll be using Penske from now on.Dustin K.
Again the surge brakes on the trailer we're not working effectively so this was passed on to the receiving facility. The receiving facility was fantastic very polite easy in and out.Scott G.
Staff was not friendly my storage and truck were dirty. They did not check me out of my unit- I took the manager out to show it was empty and clean- so I received a email saying I had a late fee and another months payment due. They changed the size of my truck rental and did not inform me so I had to make more trips and pay extra in fuel and borrow extra personal vehicles. They didn't seem the Friendliest nor explain things very well about the contract also it was very clear that they are not going over an inspecting they equipment when it's returned or rented because ours was n bad condition an uthey refused to fix the problem or trade the equipment out was not a good experience but the location we returned to was very good an explained everything n apologized for the others mistakesJeffery C.

Only trailer available was an hour away. Also your systems were down when I tried to turn my trailer in and I wasted an hour on hold, and more time trying to use your broken app. Please reduce hold times, and change your phone lines so that when the system crashes, we don't waste our time waiting on hold. Also your system crashes way too much. I expect to be able to turn in my equipment 24/7.Amy L.

I placed my reservation on Thursday to pick up a 10ft truck and a appliance dolly. When I got there the truck was there and in awesome shape, but the appliance dolly they did not have. I asked why they could not have told me this sooner, and the girl upfront could not give me a explanation. I then asked if they get a list of people renting things from them in the days ahead and she told me no they don't. I find that really weird. I mean if they don't then what happens when they double book someone. So in the end I got the truck but no dolly, and all I got back for inconvenience is 5 $off. They returned the 10 $for the rental of the appliance dolly. Also, but that should be automatically done, if they don't have something that I paid for. Very disappointed in the way this was handled and why I wasn't told ahead of time. Also I tried getting a different dolly and they did not have any other dollys besides and furniture dolly. I need a 2 wheel dolly and not a 4 wheel dolly.Philip P.

Excellent service from staff at both u-haul sites I went to, pickup in Monroe, Mi and drop off in Toledo, Oh. I do have a suggestion, though. It would be beneficial to add or install another step or runner for easier access when climbing into the larger sizes trucks. For those who are either overweight or with leg and back problems it would help out tremendously. Thankyou! Need to have more knowledgeable representatives working the counter. I almost took my business elsewhere. It took him 45+ minutes to get me a trailer rented to no fault of my own. If he wouldn't have gotten ahold of the general manager he would have turned me away. Poor customer service. I am a repeat customer, and have rented a 6x12 enclosed trailer countless times, and 26' box trucks a few times. This is the worst I have ever seen this place. Extremely unorganized. We had the storage unit for about 2 years. Initially, the staff was unhelpful and uninterested, but the price was right and how much could it matter when my stuff is just sitting in a unit? it didn't, until about a year in, when i was "moved out" in their system and moved back in so that they could try to charge me significantly more than i had been paying. It took months of phone calls and phone transfers just to pay your company money. No one could fix the issue and they just expected me to accept that new rate. After 4-5 months and help from jessica (who is one of the only good employees i've come across there) my billing was corrected, but i never could make online payments again. When we moved out, the two women working were both friendly and helpful as well, with the unit and truck rental. however, we did have some mouse droppings in our unit. Overall, it was a hassle and not worth the headache to literally just set stuff in a room. I wouldn't use your company again for storage.Lyndsay B. | Expérience générale
