I received great help from the U-Haul people I had to call when we had to choose an alternate pick up location and they were generous is giving extra miles to cover the needed changes. They also quickly refunded me the difference when I changed the drop off point.

The car trailer was dirty, and the ratchet mechanism for the tire straps was very hard to use due to the buildup of dirt within the strap and mechanism.

We reserved a storage location, but on arrival, none were available. They had been given away. Apparently, you must pay ahead to assure the reservation, but we assumed, based on the web site, that we would settle all accounts on arrival. One employee was dissmissive and nonchalant, although another was helpful in finding an alternatve site.

I spoke to two people on the phone before going up to my local U-Haul. I told them exactly what I needed. I was going to tow an RV 10 miles and it weighed 5800 lbs. They said they didn't have any pickup trucks but I could rent one go the larger trucks. When I get to U-Haul to pick up the truck, I reiterated what I needed the truck for. When I went to go pick up the RV, I drove the U-Haul a total of one mile round trip. The ball for the hitch was the wrong size. Also, the U-Haul didn't have a trailer brake controller. I wasn't allowed to drive the RV off the lot because it is against Michigan law for a vehicle of that weight to pull the RV without a brake controller. I took the U-Haul straight back. I explained everything that happened. So I was still charged for using the U-Haul that I couldn't use even thought I told three people what I needed it for and it was unusable.

First of all, I left a message for the manager to call me and s/he has not - maybe he didn't get the message. On the day I came to get the truck the woman acted like being late was a crime against the nation, even though I was the only person there and they obviously had MANY trucks available. I was supposed to return it by Monday at 9:45 AM and got a call soon after that some man said I had to return it because it was due for service. Not MAINTENANCE, but service, and I had to return it right away. I objected strongly and he said he would check. Soon thereafter some other man called and said it was fine to keep it. Of course, as it is right in the contract that you can call and extend the use if necessary. The front office people need some SERIOUS training.

This second time we rented a truck the App still did not work very well, but we did not have as many problems. Since there were not a lot of people moving we had some flexibility and were able to get access to the truck earlier and keep it later than needed. The winter weather did not make moving fun, however, the staff at this location was amazing and helpful.

The App was not easy to use at all. Several times it would not load properly and it wasn't easy to access roadside assistance. Despite these problems, we are renting another truck this weekend. The location was very helpful, but the App was not the best.

this was the second place you had me go as the first one went out of business. My reservation got canceled after I was an hour late. I was driving from Ky and hit traffic I should have received a text or phone call or something before my reservation was just canceled.

The double lock requirement and not allowing combination locks was ridiculous and made it difficult to coordinate access between the people using it (drove 2 hours only to find we couldn’t get the keys from someone else that had them)
Paying extra for 24 hour access was also excessive, in my opinion.

No lights, but that wasn't a problem since we didn't usually go there late. I didn't have any issues; staff was friendly, storage units were clean and dry, protected against rodents even though I've never seen any, and everything I needed to do could be done online for the most part.

I was concerned that some of my very good furniture could get some warping due to the winter cold and early summer heat. Every piece came home fine. Just needed some Murphy soap and polish. They really do have clean and secure units. I am very happy to say absolutely no evidence of rodents at all!! I would use them again, but hope it won't be necessary

Uhaul is very slow to fix problems with the online website and administering refunds, but very quick to charge fees. This locations staff was awesome to work with, but Uhaul's overall customer service is absolutely terrible; it could take hours and an unnecessary run around to get problems resolved.

Uhaul storage forces their customers to purchase one of their locks to start. Then cuts a customers second lock off storage unit because they need to know when we are in and out of our unit. So they put second lock on of theirs and makes customers go in the office pick up the key and then has to drop off the key once you're done. If I had more time to research storage places it would not have been this particular one!!

Both of the guys working in this store are awesome. They go above and beyond to make sure everything works out. These guys certainly are an asset to U-Haul. I would use U-Haul again based solely on the experience of the employees in this store alone.

The only downfall was the need to have an associate unlock the unit during business hours. This was not convenient for my retail work schedule, but it did make my stuff feel more secure I suppose.

The contract originally signed, stated access to units anytime. But the lock and need to get staff to open the storage anytime I need to access my unit is not exactly convenient. Will not recommend.
