I returned the vehicle at 10:30pm on 2/24/21. The next day, 2/25/21, I received a charge of over $220.00! I called the location and they stated that the vehicle wasn't checked into their computer until 12:00 noon on 2/25/21. I had recorded myself and my added driver dropping it off with a time stamp on 2/24/21. I was given a refund and paid $168.00. It seems as though the woman I spoke with was argumentative, but finally issued a partial refund. I can not believe this is normal business practice and won't be referring a single person to uHaul.

I was scammed by your employees. There was damage to the van I rented. I was blamed for the damage that I did not cause. I was yelled at on the phone and accused of damage. We came back to your store were accused and cussed at by a store manager. I had a witness in the vehicle with me the entire time. We paid for the insurance just in case something bad happened. I asked about cameras on the building and was told they would review the cameras on Monday but I was charged the $150.00 for the deductible at 4am this morning. Where they had us parked we were sandwiched between a bunch of larger trucks that the cameras could never reach. Someone clearly struck it where it was left. Every one was back at the same time. I could not get the app to work when we returned and an employee told me if I did it with the internet that I had to just leave the keys in the vehicle and we could leave because it would be taken care of with our credit card on file. An employee accidently damaged our rental in your lot and blamed us for their mistake. Very unprofessional, actually disgusting. Now I was charged the $150.00 fee and not even given a chance to defend ourselves. I will never do business with U haul again. Word of mouth will probably cost your company a lot more money than you charged me today. Shameful.

In addition to the problems with the truck I rented from the originating location, I described my issues to the staff at this location and they repeatedly blamed the driving conditions of the truck on being simply windy outside which is absolutely ridiculous. Having paid over $160 for this rental for the disaster of an experience I received and not being given a refund despite being in literal danger using this equipment, I will never rent from this company again and I will actively dissuade other people from using any of their rentals or services.

I didn't store food yet after a year in storage there was a tremendous amount of mouse droppings everywhere including my boxes!! The mice also tore up the newpaper i used to wrap my objects up with. The staff member was friendly, but didn't explain things well at all. For instance, I only realized after that I am paying for a high unit rather than a lower (6 foot) one. The staff member just assigned me the unit without asking which height I would need. I would recommend this storage facility with the caveat of asking tons of questions. I wish I know now what I didn't know then!

I reserved and paid for an Outdoor, Pull up storage unit months before my move-in day. When I arrived on my move-in day, I was informed that there were no outdoor units available. I even showed the printed paperwork. They said there would only be one inside of the building, but it was on the first floor. This was a struggle for the people who helped me move in, as we all thought (as we should), that I was going to drive up to my outdoor unit that I reserved. I didn’t give them a hard time, they said they were sorry, etc. Anyways, it all worked out. (Mind you, I still thought that the replacement unit they gave me would still be climate controlled, as this is what I reserved to have.) When I arrived 3 months later to move out, I was astounded to see my entire mattress as well as my box spring were completely molded. All different colors. After checking the website and storage map, I found that the room I was given, 1271, was indeed NOT climate controlled. I also was billed $148 monthly, whereas I thought it was going to be $114 a month. Besides the moldy mattress and moldy box spring and the room replacement, the young male employees were always very helpful and super kind.

There was also less than 1:8 of a tank of gas when we picked it up, waited 25 minutes in line to get the keys and another 20 minutes on the phone to report the fuel problem. The truck was filthy inside and out.

Initially filled out the rental agreement for a newer trailer and then the employee advised that he put the wrong trailer's number and needed to make changes on the reservations. The male employee then told me that there was something wrong with the newer trailer but was not sure what it was, and that he had to keep the reservations as originally executed and put me into the old, dented trailer. switched to z trailer which had many dents and outdated hook-up equipment. Also was told that the size of trailer I reserved (12'x6') was very rare, however there were 5 trailer of this size on the lot. Furthermore, was advised during reservation that I will receive a trailer at one of the U Haul locations at the Lockport, NY, but subsequently had to drive to a further location to Niagara Falls to pick up the trailer. Was very surprised that I was charged for this one-way rental almost a $1,000, which is more then double I paid for same trailer and same travel distance several years ago. It should be noted I have rented U Haul equipment on several previous occasions and I'm a senior citizen. Thank you for allowing me to comment on this trailer rental.

Brought trailer back same day to closest location. We ended up donating more of my mother's things in lieu of moving them to IL with us. Was told if I took it back to Genesee St location, I'd get charged the day rate, but anywhere else, I'd be charged the 4 day rate. Since I already went out of my way to rent the trailer, and my mother's condition, I chose to return it here (5 miles away). The location manager was to call me to discuss the rate but that never happened.

Where to begin with this stupid business. First off I rent a truck and was told I would have 192 miles for two days. NOPE!!! I get 84 miles to drive from Niagara Falls to Syracuse (162 miles by the way) so I got charged for 155 miles!! When given an option to dispute the charges, I wrote a complaint and was told someone would be in contact in a few days. What do they do instead? Take the damn money anyways and never call me to discus it!! What BS and a scam!!!! Then I rent an auto transport and was told I was all set for my move. I call to confirm the day before like I was told, and was told I had to drive to fredonia to get it! No one ever mentioned I would have to drive almost 2 hours to get the thing I needed to tow my car! I get to check in and the woman clearly stated they don't have any, as I'm walking to my car low and behold there's a damn auto transport labeled clear as day sitting in the lot! So I had to leave my car and drive all the way back with a rental car to get it!! Worst experience off my entire life! Never ever renting from this company ever again, and will be going out of my way to let people know that it's a terrible company and send them literally anywhere else!!!

I returned the vehicle around 5 pm on Saturday Sept 12, 2020. A young male person was in the returning booth. After asking me whether I left the key in the vehicle, without doing any checking he told me everything is oK. I will receive the receipt via email, hence I can leave. Because I did not receive the receipt via email, Sunday morning I called the U-haul. To my surprise the person that answered the call told me vehicle was not checked-in as returned. He told me he will quickly go and check the vehicle and email me the receipt with few minutes. If I did not receive the email within 10 min to call him back. Fortunately the receipt arrived, but the returned date was recorded as 9/13/2020 not the actual date I returned. You should realistically take disciplinary action of your staff that worked around 5 pm on Saturday to make sure he does not repeat the same mistake. Also commend the staff that worked Sunday morning for taking care of my call almost immediately.

everything was great except for the fact that i rented the truck and got charged 10.00 a day for an appliance dolly, which i only used a couple of times during those 5 days. This really sucks. Why cant uhaul just charge 10 bucks for the entire rent duration. Sure from a business stand point you make huge amounts of money on a piece of equiptment that requires no maintence and doesnt cost a lot to purchase, but from a customer standpoint over charging for a dolly is down right awful. I am not mad about anything about cost of my bill, except for getting fleeced on the dolly payment. thanks Bob Trane

The loading door is located opposite the entry door, which is not intuitive. There is a 2-3in lip at loading door that you must pull carts over, making it impractical to use them. The door into storage was too narrow, creating a challenge getting a couch inside, which was quite unexpected. Overall I would not recommend this unit

Now, at first I was very pleased with everyone there, then I moved out of my storage there, told everyone I moved out, and told them I left, a large, empty storage box for anyone, and a empty Landry basket, to which the employees said, ok, and I wouldn't be charged anymore because I moved out, then I get a bill for a storage I moved out of on March 28th, yeah, your welcome, for the large pepperoni pizza, that's the thanks I get for buying you a pizza, you send me a bill for a storage I told you I moved out of, and you made no mention of anything else.

When I got the storage unit, I was told that I had to purchase a lock from Uhaul, even though I had my own lock. So I purchased one, then found later that I didn’t need to...also why does Uhaul need 3 phone numbers to rent. This is the only time I had to come up with three numbers...also the employee that helped me was a bit rude. I was told from another employee that he was new. Maybe I should have said something when I first got the storage. It was a month ago...every time I went to the unit after I never saw him again. Maybe he got fired because of it...don’t know.

The manager is not very friendly. The system had trouble processing my autopay and she continually charged me a late fee. When they set up my storage they did not even have my correct address phone number or credit card information. It never got resolved so I moved my stuff with a budget truck and save money and aggravation. I feel bad that this lady does not value people and Ian more bottom line that came generated.
