The 5 x 8 I rented.. the tires were about worn out.. the interior strapping on the front wall to secure items inside was coming off the wall.. so I could only semi-secure my items... the interior also smelled like fuel/diesel oil. I was the only 5x8 on the lot and i reserved it ahead of time. No issues at all with the staff at the location they were very polite and professional. 5 starsPhilip D.

The process is pretty easy, and the employees are really quick in assisting customers, either on the phone or in person. The only thing is that you might not be able to do a one way trip; I was unable to and had to give the truck back at the original location which caused a little bit of an inconvenience, but that was the only hiccup I encountered, so not really a huge deal breaker (at least for the distance I had to move)Rachelle V.

You should have a faster check in process, especially for those who pre-check in via a computer. I did that and still waited 30 minutes because there was someone in front of me who did not pre-register. If you had a computer for me to scan a bar code, it could then tell me the number and location of the vehicle I rented. Thank you for listeningCynthia V.

When I dropped the van off at a different location the employee there looked up my invoice, typed on his computer for 3 to 5 minutes never saying anything or asking me anything. In the mean time another customer waiting started yelling at him. He looked up at me and said, â€œ your good to goâ€. I asked if I could get a receipt and he said it would be emailed to me. So, I left. The next day my bank account was debited twice. I have a big issue with no one ever verbalizing that I would be charged for dropping off at a different location. It's not posted in either store where it can be read. I know it is on the invoice in the middle of the small print. I believe this to be negligent on your company and employee. I feel he saw a way to hit me for the extra. Had he said anything I would of got back in the van and drove it back to where I picked it up. Very upset and disappointed. Even though there was an incident at this location beyond the control of Uhaul, I wasn't able to get the rental originally ordered but the staff member at this location was excellent. I received a call prior to my pick up time to let me know what was going on and that they would try to accommodate me in anyway possible. Once I arrived the staff member was very courteous and made sure that I was happy and satisfied before I left. I think this person should be commended and compensated in some kind of way because they had a lot of adversity to endure that day.Stephanie C.

I was caught in traffic and missed my return time by only 2hrs and was charged a full day for both trailers I was renting. So that has left a sour taste with me to ever use uhaul again. A little bit of a charge would be ok with me but to charge a full day for both is ridiculous.david C.
I just drove hual 10' truck 11 miles and put a gallon gas. They charged me another 32 $for 8 gallon gas. I am surprised. The tank was marked full but it was one point down during pickup and I gave at same level. Later I got bill for 8 gallon gas, waoo..Priyesh V.

A young guy, I believe his name is Francis, was extremely polite, and hustling. Looked like he was running the show by himself. I was really disappointed with this location. There was a snow storm on Wednesday, three days prior to my rental. The upper entrance to the lot was not cleared at all, so I barely made it in, the parking spots were not really cleared either. That's fine, I can understand that; however, the van I rented was anything but ready for me. I did the truck share so I wouldn't have to go inside the store and avoid any covid contact, but I had to go inside for the key. The windshield was covered in 3 inches of snow and ice that I had to get help clearing off. Both front tires needed air added, and neither of the dollys I rented were with the van or ready to go when I got the key. The return was fine, but I spent almost an hour in the lot trying to get ready to go. I was really disappointed with it all. The staff was pleasant, but I just couldn't believe the van itself wasn't even cleared off.Sharon U.

I've rented several vehicles and trailers from the Norristown location with no complaints. My only complaint is that this most recent 15' van I rented came with less than a 1/2 tank. It's not a big deal but it an inconvenience to have to hit a gas station before you get on the road.Gregory C.

We reserved a unit a month in advance and were told the day we were moving in that the unit we reserved doesn't exist, despite us calling the day prior to confirm. Then the unit was not the size we wanted but had no choice but to move in anyway. We asked for the price we reserved but were told that we would have to pay more. Initially booked pickup at a different location. U-Haul sent an email notifying me that they changed the pickup location AFTER I booked. The new location was 10 miles further from my home. I was not asked if this was ok. The change of pick-up notification letter was confusing. The notification of a changed location was buried in a dense paragraph so I did not notice. As a result, I ended up driving to the original pick-up location and then had to go the new location, Terrible customer service. The change of location should have been made clear so there would be no confusion. Someone should have CALLED me to tell me. Terrible policy and process. Why didn't U-Haul move the vehicle to the original pick-up location at their expense. I had to spend time, gas money, and waste reserved miles picking up the vehicle.jack W.

I already had a reservation booked and had to cancel. I rescheduled a reservation and was very disappointed that uhaul could not find me a bigger truck and a one way drop off. Was charged tremendously for mileage just to take truck back to pickup site. Very disappointed and the associate at the counter acted like he didn't want to be there. He made rude remarks that we racked up miles don't be mad about the cost. Worst experience I ever had and especially for this being the actual uhaul company and not a franchise. Customer service training. We were standing in an empty store a guy comes out from the back and shouts to us "You need something?" later in the discourse, we say we would like a 12-foot truck, he responds "We don't have those" and shuts up, doesn't say a word for two minutes. Have you changed your customer interaction policies so that customers must announce their intentions, loudly, upon entering the store as well as have an intimate knowledge of U-Haul truck sizes?Hunter W.
