Your people on How lane were polite, professional and helpful. Unfortunately I made a reservation online and Uhaul sent me to the wrong location. It took your person a while to fine my reservation, probably not her fault. UHAUL,not this store wasted an hour of my time and the helper I was paying. I also made someone wait an hour for me to arrive for my pick up.

Walked in and was greeted with a smile. But waited a long time to be spoken to, despite there being only one other customer in store and phones not ringing. When a second associate finally came, she answered 2 phone calls and changed the batteries in wireless mouse before acknowledging me or looking at me. Stated was there to pickup truck but having trouble with website/app. Struggled to find my reservation and then said it was because I should have told them that I'm already checked in. Was given keys to a truck that wasn't there! Finally got keys to a truck that was actually in lot after 45 mins of WASTED TIME.

You cannot improve what is already perfect!! I have rented from another company recently and from now on, we will only use U-Haul!! We love this place! This is the location on How Lane, North Brunswick and they sell everything and I mean everything you need to move safely and effectively. Their prices cannot be beat! I used them yesterday and I already am sending 4 families to this location and this location only. You get the best customer service, they have a restroom and the place is so clean and honestly I love the staff that I met at this location. I am so thrilled this was recommended to me by another friend and once a friend recommends, I recommend to others, too!! Keep up the great work everyone!! I love all of you at U-Haul!! Thank you so much for your great help, service and price!! I am thrilled!!!

Please ensure that the vehicle is modern, clean and sanitary including the smell. This van had clothing and other items stuffed inside the side panels of the cargo area. Not to mention an air freshener hung to mask terrible body odor from the previous renter. I used several Clorox wipes to clean the steering wheel and other high touch areas - the wipes were completely filthy when I finished. I haven't experienced a truck this dirty or smelly since the 90's at the Edison Uhaul. I'm sure it will be better next time.

The employees are trained in what they should do. However I returned my rental at 1:30 but at 6pm had to take a 20 minute call with folk who didn't know what to do. My rental return was not entered into the system. This location is good, but clearly left to run itself. Product of the times I guess. If I was the manager the front door would be in service, customers would be greeted. Trainers would be prepped, employees wouldn't pull in blasting music with another employee admiring it. Honestly this location is average for 2024. But i rate it as poor because if I created the same company, maybe the ceos wouldn't make so much but the locations, franchise or not, would be the best quality

Well something is wrong with the odometer because I most certainly did not drive 40 miles. I drove 4 miles from my home to a venue and back. I am not sure how you guys compute but you got an we extra $30 from me and I am not happy.

Online they gave me a truck price for almost $55.00. Later at the office they charged me almost $95 and when I delivered the truck I received an invoice for $112.00, they are not serious with the prices. I'm not coming back...

Definitely would not recommend. This is supposed to be a reliable, credible service but all I've gotten is hustled for 5 dollars when people worker there who don't know the company's regulations and fees lie to pacify a momentary lapse on their judgment. I was told I would get $10 off my truck only to not get that but be hassled for 5 dollars accrued in tolls... Never using Uhaul again

The truck was ok, but too small for our needs. This, despite encouragement from U-Haul that it would be adequate. As importantly, we reserved 'helpers' at each end of the move through U-Haul and they arrived between 3 hours and 4 hours late for the pick-up and drop-off. We learned that the middlemen take more than half of the fee, despite having virtually no control over the arrival of the 'crew'. The moving items I ordered were not unavailable at the site. While waiting 3,5 hours and 4 hours, respectively, we did most of the work unloading the truck. We also learned that the 'movers' are paid less than 1/2 the fee charged and the middlemen keep the larger share, despite dropping the ball at each location. Overall, I'd have to say I was dissatisfied with the experience and will look elesewhere in the future.

Infested with rats and completely damaged our merchandise. we moved a small store and needed to storage merchandise the rats got to all the boxes and we lost everything nothing can be used or donated. We called many times but everytime it was a fight over the phone we couldn't resolve the issue we just had to take the losses and move forward!!

A Great Location to Rent From

The vehicle had a maintenance alarm, the engine sounded as if there was a significant issue, additionally there was water in the cabin and storage compartment likely after a recent rainfall.

The truck that I rented had such a loose front end it was almost uncontrollable at highway speeds. Other than that the girl who worked the customer service counter was fantastic.

The trailer was boxed in between other trailers and there was no wheeled lift bar to move trailer or raise it to hitch onto my truck. I had to muscle the trailer to a neutral area and dead lift the trailer to my hitch. I am 67yrs old but fortunately in good shape . Most people could not have done this.

They did not have what they told me they would in the contract when I got there to pick up truck. They charged me more than they said. They were not helpful very rude. And the door would not close correctly and they said yea we know it's ok. It's won't open. Just horrible service

The continuous switch of pick-up locations was not fun or appreciated. The fact that the estimated milage was NOT readjusted upon return (67 miles LESS then estimated) and money for less milage was not readjusted was NOT anticipated or appreciated. I view this as unfair. The return location was excellent and they made the return simple. Money back was expected but did NOT occur.

I rented a truck and reserved for 3 weeks and when about to get the pick up truck , it is not available. I already hired movers , so I decided to get the van. They should at least text me prior. Not happy with the service .

The only thing I didn't like is that when you're late with your payments, they call all the people you put in and send letters as if you weren't going to pay them, I even received threats that they would auction off my things when I wasn't there for a month late. working because I was sick they should be somewhat aware the truth

I used this location for about a year and a half. My only gripe is that the rent was raised 6/7 months in. Was difficult to confirm move out details but the guy on the phone took care of everything for me. Location was really convenient, secure, and allowed me to get in and out when I needed to.

The place was perfect for what we needed it for and we had our unit for a couple of years, so it was fine overall in terms of our needs. The only issues we had which were two of the main reasons for leaving were the issues with mice destroying things in our unit, we didn't store anything that would have attracted them, and the constant increase in our rate. It went up significantly during our time there and it just became too expensive. Otherwise, the place and staff were perfect.

My unit had no climate control. It wasn't properly sealed, as my stuffs always have dust , water, leaves mice and bugs in my unit. The mice ate on my belongings, watermarks on my suitcases and valuables.

I vacated U-haul space on September 25 and followed staff instructions. They didn't close my contract and I called customer care multiple times and went again to storage unit. They don't care about customer. It's very unpleasant place to rent u-haul. I am sorry to say that but that's the truth.

I could NEVER get through to a person any time I called. The only options were see store hours and directions which took me to a recording, and all other inquiries, which took me to the entire UHAUL company's customer service. No way to get through to a person. So nobody I could talk to when our storage price increased DURING COVID might I add. I definitely wouldn't store with uhaul again just for the lack of availability to talk to a person at the location.

The manager of this facility is incredibly helpful and prompt to respond to inquiries, so she is absolutely an asset. When we moved in and complained about the facility's dirty carpet that made the building smell terribly, she worked to have it removed, and we were very thankful for her effort. This change did help with the smell. The facility was, however, still not as clean as other Uhaul storage facilities that we've utilized in the past. During our move-out, we found a dead mouse and mouse feces in our unit. When we told the Uhaul representative at check-out, he made no response, so I suspect that the dead mouse wasn't exceptional for the facility. I would not go back to this facility for this reason.

Employee at the desk was rude when I asked them to explain why I wasn't able to receive a first month free, which I was very willing to listen to if they had answers. Instead, they kept shrugging, and when I asked if there was a manager who could help clarify, they said "well, the manager isn't here, and I don't know who helped you before, do you want the space or not?"

The person at the counter was incredibly pleasant and helpful, but I reserved a drive-up 5x5 unit online more than a month before move-in, and when I arrived I was not given a 5x5 drive-up, but a 5x10 down a long hallway, where I had to carry heavy boxes. I'm disappointed that I'll have to pay more. What's the point of making a reservation online if it doesn't reserve anything?

I stored my items here fpr 5 years while my daughter and i were in shelter due to her medical issues. She has a heart and lung condition and many times i almost lost our stuff due to not being able to pay. Sherri would never work it out with me or let me pay in increments. She didn't even try to help, yet every 2 months I got a letter saying my rent was increasing FOR NO REASON. I wouldn't recommend this place if it were the last place on earth. Greedy people who don't care about you! Plus EVERY single bag and box had been run through by mice. I had to throw out 75 % of mine and my daughters belongings. All of her baby stuff was chewed through and shat on by mice. Never store your stuff here.
