The truck had bugs all over the windshield and very little wiper fluid left to clean them off. Plus, only a 1/4 of a tank of gas meaning had to stop and put gas in and clean windshield before going to load up. Also, the interior of the cargo area was not cleaned out by the last user with little pieces of wood and dirt on the floor.Stuart S.
The guy at the counter first told me, when I was picking up the keys ,that he accidentally gave my keys to another customer. I went back to my car to wait and went back in and was given the correct keys. This same person also told me that the truck needed to be back by 9AM even though my rental was until 4:00pm the next day.Ryan S.

First it started where I couldn't pick up my reservation at the location I had requested- but instead across town. Ok fine. Then when we pick up the truck, none of the dollys that we had reserved were there. I was told I had to go to another uhaul store across town to get them. I was moving in a really tight timeframe and wasn't able to spend that kind of time driving. I asked what could be done to get the dolly's I had reserved to me - nothing! Customer service throughout the process generally did not care about the issues I experienced. Further, when we picked up the truck it did not have 1/4 tank gas as required and we had to fill it on the way home or we would have run out of gas. Kind of a big deal when gas prices are $5,2 and you're filling a 26' truck. Then our rental contract was mysteriously extended by two days without us ever signing or even knowing it was done. The store was able to correct that portion. But honestly wth Uhaul I have never in my life has such a bad experience and won't be using their services again in the future.Rahul D.

Someone met me as I pulled in and said that he would handle the check in and that I was free to go. I explained the problems I had at the pickup location and gave him the key fob that had been left in the truck. My only "complaint" is that he said that I would receive a receipt by email and I have yet to receive one.Scott S.

Overall I am extremely unsatisfied with my UHaul experience. The day before my interstate move I was told that no truck would be available at the location I reserved. Instead I needed to have someone pick up the UHaul for me 2 hours away and drive to meet them. While rebooking this reservation, the representative told me I would receive complimentary extra miles and a 10 % discount to compensate me for the lost time and gas money necessary to fulfill this order. Upon returning the UHaul I was told that I would receive a receipt via email, which I had to call 4 hours later in order to have actually sent. Looking over the receipt, I noticed that I had not received this discount and was charged for extra miles. I was able to have the charge for the extra miles refunded, but denied the discount because it was not noted by the original representative I spoke to. After using UHaul for several moves in the past, it was extremely disappointing to have to drive 4 hours round-trip out of the way to pick up the truck in the first place, and then be essentially lied to about being compensated for this extra cost. I was told the printer was down and could not receive a receipt. The guy said he would email one and never received it. I was charged twice for the rental and need to know why, but not sure when I will have time to call or go to the location where I rented the U Haul.Sarah H.

It was a fiasco. Booked a month ahead of time. They didn't have the truck I wanted and wanted me to go to two different facilities for the truck and the tow dolly. First they wanted me to drive to another city to pick up the truck. Luckily they were able to find a larger truck in town. Then, even though I was first in line, they made me wait while they helped other customers.cameron R.

Tim was the person in charge on the day of our pick up and he was extremely helpful. He not only ensured that our tire pressure was correct and filled our tires, but he also inverted our hitch so that it carried the trailer higher and provided more ground clearance which made us feel safer about towing the trailer on our new Pallisade. I appreciated the newer truck for this rental with only 34k miles on it. My last rental from this location was an older unit with 140k and was past its point of retiring the truck. I would have given this an excellent review if the moving blankets and dolly were in the back available to use, similar to previous rentals. A small feature that would have come in handy in those last min situations when you didnt think you needed it.KEITH L.

In general, the overall experience was good. A few complaints: the virtual check in process was lengthier than expected, the furniture dolly I requested wasn't in the truck, which I didn't realize until I got home, and lastly I received too many solicitation emails.Laura H.

I've been in a long time U-Haul buyer I am using renting trucks from you guys I drove a truck from Florida and piggyback from Tampa to Clearwater Michigan had a little difficulty what's the tires it was a brand new truck they took me from Tampa to Georgia two days cause the tires One tire had a bad bleed and your balance is off balance .I call made A guy come out and change it he said your front end is off alignment I it from Middle of Georgia to Clearwater Michigan and one day and I had to go to Dewitt Michigan because your U-Haul place was on 27th in Lansing. You guys said you were going to reimburse me when I did that and August but I never got reimbursed for the trouble on sorrow but Use U-Haul.I asked the store person if I could deliver trucks to state to state she told me to go to grand Rapids I would love to do that I love driving my number is 239-293-5870DUANE GEORGE L. | Expérience générale
I tented a storage unit and truck bcuz I had 24 hours to get my belongings from my current residence. I paid for the storage specifically ask the gentleman before I left if the storage would be unlocked before I got back because U-Haul lock was on it and he said yes he would take care of that. This was 2 hours before they close I come back with a whole entire load out of my house and the lock was still on it oh, they were already closed oh, so I couldn't drop my belongings off to go back and get the rest of my things. The next morning I waited over 3 hours just to find out that this door is rented was already rented and it took me another two hours to find a new storage. Why I got a new storage I do not know because I lost all my belongings because I didn't get them out of my current residence in enough time. So out of my entire house all I got was the things from the shed. And I also only got a refund for the storage unit. Considering I had to pay for the moving truck but yet didn't get to use it because I had nowhere to put my things. When we would go to our unit there would always be an extra lock on our storage unit. There was NEVER ANY REASON FOR IT. We paid for 24 hour access, never did we pay late and the general manager would put the extra lock on our unit so we couldn't get into when we wanted. We would ask the young man that was working and he had no idea why the extra lock. Also when we took our storage elsewhere there was mold all over all my stuff and the floor was wet.
