They need another service representative inside. They only had 2 and they're managing a slow computer system / database. Changes take too long. Plus they're constantly putting callers on hold. Before showing up to the location, I had an important question, was put on hold for 15-20 minutes. Realized that it's quicker to show up (10 minute drive) & ask the question. I did & saw why I was holding so long, as per above. More staff = more business done. Make it so! Ala JeanLuc Picard. ;)

My first location did not have the truck I reserved. In the future you need to tell me BEFORE I arrive to pick it up. The next location gave me a truck with engine problems and a padlock on the rear door and I was not given a key. Then roadside assistance would not come to me to get the lock off. Just a terrible experience

I was sold an insurance product for my trailer, which I was told would cover things like windshield breaking and the likes. I specifically asked the case of a windshield on MY VEHICLE (towing vehicle) breaking if the trailer kicked something up AND the case where my things broken in the trailer and I was told that would be covered. Not only was it not (my claim was denied) customer service told me they would contact me about working out if a refund was possible, but no followup ever occurred. I want a refund for this safetow/safetravel policy.

When my reservation was made, over the phone, prior to my pickup, I thought my reservation was confirmed because all the information was given only to find out that I had NO RESERVATION when I went to pick a van up the next morning. It was finally determined by the person I spoke with over the phone that I had used a Prepaid Card which could not be used. Nothing was said to me at the time I thought I had a reservation nor did I get notified through text or email. I say all of this to say…that it should be stated up front that you cannot use a prepaid card ONLY MAJOR CREDIT CARDS OR BANK CREDIT CARDS which is what I used after the fact. That could have saved me much precious time. Warmest Regards!

I was given a van with less than a 1/4 tank of gas even though I was told that I should be full. I needed to drive in NYC where gas stations are few and far between. At one point I thought I might run out of gas. I think that there should be a minimum of at least a half a tank of gas when picking up any rental.

It was all pretty seamless. When you end your order, maybe just one page of extra (supplies, insurance, movers) might be more convenient. Have to click “I don't need this” 7 or 8 times is a bit of a pain.

My reservation was changed 3 times. When I arrived at the new FURTHER location - there was no truck available. Even though I had a confirmation. Then I had to drive even further to go find one. I was supposed to have a truck for 8am and didn't get one until 6pm. Then the new one was even more money yet the same truck. Stop overbooking and ensure your customers get what they reserved.

U-HAUL APP and my U-HAUL account were not synchronized and so bothered me. When I drop off, I was so tired, and I did not receive any link from U-HAUL. At this time I am not happy.

The only thing that makes the location less than ideal is the actual location; it's not easy to get into and out of - that's not in your control. The other suggestion I would offer is to increase staffing at times of higher volume; your gsm/asm did an excellent job at the counter but no one person could handle the volume of customers and calls that she had to deal with.

The trailer had some blankets and was not broom swept. Also, the trailer has a short or draw in the electrical system. I have a new battery that died because I left the trailer plugged in over night. This should be fixed. The people at this location were excellent and professional

I had originally requested a 15 foot truck at the East Rutherford NJ location. I had been told that I would be called 24-48 hours prior to the pickup time and I wasn't. I had to call Uhaul and was put on hold for more than 3 hours. I ended up with a 10 foot truck from North Newark instead of what I desired. It worked ok but the fact that nobody contacted me as I had been told I would be is very enraging. I don't plan to use Uhaul ever again as I result.

I reserved a motorcycle trailer to pick up a new motorcycle that I was purchasing. I decided to reserve the trailer from 9am - 7:00pm because I did not know how long the buying process was going to take. After I received my confirmation email, I did not notice or see anything on the email that said I had to be at the Uhaul within the hour I had reserved the trailer or they would give away the trailer to someone else. I arrived a little past 10am and the woman behind the desk told me they gave it to someone else because I was late to my reservation. I did not receive a cancelation email and I did not receive a phone call from the location telling me it was being given away. Funny enough, when I was waiting in line, I saw the attendants calling people telling them their reservations were close to being canceled. At this point, the woman behind the desk gave me two options: 1) wait until the motorcycle trailer was scheduled to be returned around 3:45pm or 2) rent a 5'x9' trailer for 10 $extra. I could not wait for the 3:45pm slot as the dealership would be closing around 7pm. I'm very upset at this situation because I did not receive this courtesy phone call. Even more upsetting was the motorcycle trailer that I had originally reserved was sitting there at the location and in the same spot/position when I returned to the uhaul to drop off the 5'x9' trailer. While I was able to figure it out, this location did nothing to try to rectify the situation and offered no alternatives until I asked about other trailers. Maybe corporate can look into the customer service at this location because it was awful.

Solo creo que el servicio debe ser prorrateado, al final del año estoy seguro que va a ser mas rentable debido al volumen de clientes que tiene U haul, en menos de 2 meses he pagado a Uhaul alrededor de 1 800,00 $ y creo que hubiera sido una mejor situación si pudieran recompensar a clientes de esta manera

What a horrible wait time and management. I vê been receiving phone calls and voicemails even though I check out this storage on the last month that was giving to me as courtesy. The young lady at the front desk told me that all I needed was to return my card and nothing else that it will be close that same day. Apparently she is mistaken or just didn't care being that she was busy! I'm going through a lot at this time in my life reason why I choose not answer! I can't deal with other people incompetencies when I am nearly at deaf bed! Sincerely Alexandro Lugo

The facility always appeared short staff and there was always a line. Never felt like the employees knew how to answer questions properly and always had to reach out to the manager. Also, didn't appreciate that mid way through my rental the price was increased from what I was originally told and this was an inconvenience considering there was no forewarning. Lastly, this facility is way too expensive; there are other facilities in the area with cheaper prices.

Due to the pandemic I could no longer afford the space otherwise I would never left. The staff from the office to the cleaning staff were amazing. Security is the upmost love it. Clean hallways. , entrance , moving carts , elevators and the staff always clean uniforms were always a site to see. Thank you. I always use U-haul for all my needs. Would always be my "FIRST CHOICE@

I had a Ubox rental with this location. The same day I packed my unit, I noticed the unit was damaged. (The front panel was missing screws leaving my items exposed.) I immediately brought it to their attention and was told that my unit would be repaired. Three (3) days later I called to try and have my Ubox shipped to me and there was no record of them housing my things. My unit was shown to have been not only empty but ready for the next customer's use. Only to find out the location had my name filed with the wrong reservation number. After no avail with customer service (because the location never answered the phone nor returned my calls) I had to physically return to the location to resolve the issues. After ONLY 10 DAYS of using their less than adequate services, I was forced to remove all of my items from this facility. The Ubox was NOT repaired and without explanation or resolve from the facilities discrepancies I had to take my business elsewhere. After all the hassle I was still charged full price for a service I couldn't even use due to mishaps on this locations behalf and no fault of my own. I will NOT recommend this location to anyone nor use their services again!

The facilities were great, new, and really clean. The only reason I rented here was because I needed 24 hour access. Well it's currently 230am and I need to get into my unit and the woman at the front desk didn't add the 24hour access into my account so now I'm our here in the cold and can't get in! I called customer service and it can only be added in site. Well I need to be on a flight by 9am tomorrow and the office doesn't open until 9am. You really screwed me!!!
