The personnel at the location were great and the truck was very clean. The only big issue we had was that the truck really struggled to accelerate and seemed to have a tough time driving on the highway. I don't think this is a location specific issue but more so on the part of uhaul overall.Kori M.

The people that drop off and pick up the containers were top notch. They could not have been more helpful. The Office Managers were not. When I asked the Manager of Springfield Illinois UHaul â€œWhy was I not informed that I would be charged for a whole month rental and storage after only using the crates for 10 daysâ€ his answer was â€œyou did not askâ€. That is not an acceptable answer. That should be said up front. $539 for ten days storage and rental ridiculous. Thanks Brian HornsbyBrian H.

On 6/19/22 it Took me just over an hour to pick up the trailer that I reserved online, and filled out all forms and payments online before arriving at the designated time. There were three people staffing the location. Only one of them able or allowed to operate the front desk/computer. With the other two wandering aimlessly. Multiple times the employee left the front desk to retrieve a vehicle while the other two employees did nothingâ€¦. Not sure what their roles are but this appears to be a terribly ran business. It needs management. The equipment was available, clean, and worked as it should. No issue there.Shawn P.

As a new or first time user customer using a car transport trailer I would recommend picking it up at a place that help load your vehicle, I traveled just over 1 300 miles with trouble Freejoe C.

employees at north port location are mostly rude and all complain about being too busy and are tired , overworked and have sudden fits of anger when you ask them to honor the promotions I signed up for online( free day with previous reservation of trailer/ truck. yell at you in front of everybody and say "thats not how we do things here and we are not going to honor it if you simply have a reservation for abtrailer/truck and get a free month because you could cancel the reservation. that the only way was to have signed a contract today for a truck trailer to get the offer. oh and sorry you cant sign a contract for that trailer because we dont have it in stock. yelling at me the whole time. (This was a CSR named Kody allen) so i called uhaul online when i got home and spoke to operator and she called the store and spoke to RICHARD Perrin (Gen manager) and she said he was suppoed to call me today but is mid afternoon and i didnt receive the call and its almost 3pm. Also when i got to my unit today there were 2 uhaul moving trucks parkd in front of my door(drive up access) and i had to ask the front desk if they could move them ( she only moved one and i was still blocked by the front end of the second truck still no drive up access. and then i ask them about the gate code and hours and they inform me that the security gate is broken and that i( or anyone) can drive in 24 hours a day!!! i do not feel very secure with my belongings in this facility, so far everything stinks.Terry f. | Premières impressions

Although the location and service from this store was excellent it was NOT the store we called or rented from. But it was Saturday morning and we had no choice but to travel AND pay the extra 30 plus miles with both the truck and our POV. On TOP of gas which is astronomical as we all know. Very poor customer service handling our situation. We just had to eat someone else's mistake. I don't know how all this works but we should have been able to get some sort of discount from UHAUL.Jeremy T.

I am absolutely livid with this location. If I could rate 0 stars I would. I had picked up a truck and trailer to haul a vehicle to get some work done at 6:30ish pm on Monday May 23rd. Found out an hour later that I was going to be unable to get said work complete but this location was already closed for the night. I went to drop it off early the next morning and explained the situation. You could see by the mileage on the vehicle that I drove it to my home and back again (a couple miles if that) and I was still charged $90 despite explaining the issue that had come up on my end. I was still charged none the less, I called customer support and they sent a dispute into this location but the GM declined the dispute. I call this morning and talk to 3 others from the customer support line to be told that my dispute was declined due to the fact that they were unable to "rent out the vehicle" in the 30 mins before closing that night so it didn't matter what my situation was I was still going to be charged $90 for this truck and trailer to sit in my driveway overnight. I am very disappointed in this location as well as with the GM I would never recommend to anyone to use U-Haul let alone the Pan American location because they have clearly shown their true colors with unfortunate situation.RACE G.

The trailer that we rented had a nail in one of the tires. The attendant working at the counter didn't seem to care if we had a problem or not. We were an inconvenience. The gentleman working on replacing the tire to our trailer tried to help but it took two tires to find a working replacement. The replacement tire did not match the other three but it was all they had. We felt lucky the trailer made it all the way home without a tire blowing out.PETER B.

The team I worked with at this location was excellent. It did not matter who took care of me, each person worked as part of the team and it was very apparent. I was in and out quickly, changed my initial online reservation to another trailer easily. Also they have all the trailers unlike other locations., I will not hesitate to use this Uhaul location when i need a trailer.michael J.

Unit was clean and ready. Office Staff was very helpful and friendly. Richard was particularly helpful with getting the 3 u-boxes ready for us to unload into unit we rented even tho he was extremely busy and in demand. He was clearly the "go to guy" for staff and clients and he managed to help everyone !!! He even stopped by as we were unloading and he was getting off for the day and asked if there was anything he could do. Richard went above and beyond despite being in demand. He was stellar !!! Invoices are terrible! Confusing and seem designed to confuse! Local people are GREAT! Email and text updates are outstanding. 800 number is terrible, why can't you reach local facility where Ubox is located. Why not better tracking on Uboxes? Why not explain pads have to be folded to avoid an extra charge! Trying to maximize your charges? 4 hour windows for drop off and delivery is pitiful. Should be 2 hour window!robert E.

There are too many trucks and trailers at the facility. The facility was not well organized, trailers and trucks surround the storage units to the point staff had to move them or we did to get out and for other customers the staff had to move a truck that was infront of there unit. I purchased insurance and a look from the staff on the start date of my rental, the staff member did not inform me the lock i had chosen would not comply with my insurance coverage until about 3 weeks later. Upon arrival the storage unit i had reserved and which was available online was not available and i had to purchase a bigger unit at a higher cost then i had wished to spend. We reserved a space 10x20 from out of state two months in advance. When we arrived, you didn't have such a space available. Best you could do was two 10 x 10 spaces far apart for more money!! The latches on the storage units were crap and broken. The storage lot is so full of rental trailers and trucks you can't even get close to your storage locker. What a disaster this place is. We couldn't get our truck or trailer close to the storage we overpaid for. NO! I would never suggest anyone EVER deal with your facility. Staff was rude and inconsiderate. Blocked our unit with trailers along with trucks which made it hard to access our unit. Automatic payment setup did not work for over 6 months causing a fault in my contract and staff didn't notify me pertaining the issue from June all the way till the middle of November.... 6 MONTHS!!!!! THEN GAVE ME A HARD TIME when I wanted to get me stuff and move it to one of my other three units I have elsewhere. I will never use Uhaul company or recommend them to friends or family. When my husband arrived to pick up or truck and locate our until we were told that there was no unit for us and could not find our contract number despite U-Haul taking our money for the unit. The whole thing was a nightmare and never got resolved.Dyllan R. | Online Move In

No process was really great. I thought it was going to be much more difficult. The North Port U-Haul storage center was extremely busy, and they had a lot of vehicles and trailers so much so that at one point I was almost unable to get to my storage unit. I was able to get to the unit, by driving slowly and watching my mirrors. This is not a bad thing but it does say that they need more land and storage space for their vehicles and trailers. my only negative is I wish there was another exit /entrance for the back and/or that the lanes were bigger or basically not blocked all the time by either Uhall trucks and trailers or other people using their units. it was sometimes impossible to get to my unit and i only went there maybe 6 times in the 2 years i had the unit. I had another unit at this location before, it was right by the return area and even though it was up front i still had issues getting to it because there was a returned Uhaul truck there. other than that, all good.Lori W. | Expérience générale

Everything was perfect except one thing, it was really congested with trucks and trailers. Given the layout of the facility, and the volume of business you do, I don't know how it could be easily fixed. It did feel like you were doing your best, and your people were over the top courteous and willing to help. You have a great group of people working there. We had a confirmed reservation (Reservation #:830027-00107295) for a 10 x 20 unit. The reservation was made almost a month in advance for a cross country move. When we arrived we were casually told there was no 10 x 20 units available as if it was no problem! The best they could do was 2 - 10 x 10 separate units. And to add insult to injury we are now going to be charged $129,99 a month for each ($259,98 total) rather than the $179,99 for the same amount of space. But standing at the counter with a full truck and movers on the way, what choice did we have? Doesn't seem fair we pay more every month for inconvenient, separated, spaces due to U-Haul not being able to honor their commitment. The parking lot for that particular location is horrible. They store/park too many vehicles there and you can't maneuver a large truck around there easily. I always felt like I was going to either hit my truck or one of their buildings. It would have been easier if they didn't store so many in front of peoples storage units. This was the first time that I had a bad experience with a uhaul storage unit. This place from the get go looks very old and run down, the only reason I didn't turn around and leave first thing is cause I already booked it before ever seeing the place and I had first month free. I purchased climate controled so my things would stay in good condition but this was the worst version of climate control I've dealt with, every time I visited the unit didn't feel very cool at all and after a few months I see that my things are molding. I've never had a climate controlled unit mold my belongings before so I left this bad experience of a storage unit and as I was checking out, I find it that the AC for my unit building was broke for some time and that they finally fixed it. It would have been really nice for whom ever runs this location to let the people who have units know that they are having problems so that they can decide whether they want to change units or move out so things don't get bad but instead nothing war said and now I'm sorting through things with mold on them cause of their greed I'm guessing on not wanting to lose business. The staff members were excellent from the jump. One gentlemen, perhaps the manager, wasn't all that great, however, I upon my departure of renting two storage units, renting two one-way trucks and a trailer, I met the regional manger, "Bravo," whom was excellent. I wish I would have had the opportunity to work with Bravo from the beginning. Everyone needs a good wingman and Bravo went over and beyond to accommodate my last requests before departing. My unit was regularly blocked by other tenants. The facility is over run with trucks making it difficult to enter or exit. The staff watched me struggle to move out and then tried to charge me fees.
