I think its a shame you have small females there, left to lift heavy trailers by themselves. I rented a 6x12 trailer and lifted it up on the hitch myself. As far as the drop off location in luling Louisiana......dump them. The worst location I've ever been to. No office, no people, no calls answered or returned.FRED H.
We had a confirmed reservation (Reservation #:830027-00107295) for a 10 x 20 unit. The reservation was made almost a month in advance for a cross country move. When we arrived we were casually told there was no 10 x 20 units available as if it was no problem! The best they could do was 2 - 10 x 10 separate units. And to add insult to injury we are now going to be charged 129,99 $ a month for each (259,98 $ total) rather than the 179,99 $ for the same amount of space. But standing at the counter with a full truck and movers on the way, what choice did we have? Doesn't seem fair we pay more every month for inconvenient, separated, spaces due to U-Haul not being able to honor their commitment. The Uhaul employee was new and being trained which is fine and no problem with that at all. However, while he was installing the trailer on my hitch, unfortunately he went to fast and damage my 2022 brand new Mitsubishi outlander rear bumper. I wish that didn't happen. I submitted a claim to the U-Haul insurance RepWest. Hopefully, they will process my claim and pay for the repair. My recommendation is to watch closely new employees to avoid this bad experiences to your customers.Ivys O.

The parking lot for that particular location is horrible. They store/park too many vehicles there and you can't maneuver a large truck around there easily. I always felt like I was going to either hit my truck or one of their buildings. It would have been easier if they didn't store so many in front of peoples storage units. There were many times that we had to go to the office to have them move their vehicles to be able to get into our storage unit.MEGAN G. | Expérience générale

THE GUY BEHIND THE COUNTER WAS THE RUDEST MANGER, I EVER DELT WITH, I TOLD HIM THAT I NEEDED A TRAILER TO PICK UP A RIDING LAWN TRACTOR, SO I GOT ONE, WHILE HOOKING IT UP I ASKED HIM IF THE TAIL GATE GOES DOWN HE SAID YES. SO I PROCEEDED ON MY WHEY, WHEN I GOT TO THE HOUSE I THAT I WAS BUYING THE TRACTOR FROM, WE TRIED LOWERING THE TAIL GATE AND THE CAINS WERE WELDED, SO WE COULD'NT GET THE TRACTOR ON THE TRAILER, SO THE GUY I WAS BUYING IT FROM OFFERED TO BRING IT TO HY HOUSE THE NEXT DAY FOR 20 $TO PAY FOR GAS, WITCH WAS FAIR.WHEN I BROUGHT THE TRAILER BACK WITH MY GRANDSON, HE SAID HOW IT WORK OUT? I SAID NOT SO GOOD. I TOLD YOU I WAS PICKING UP A RIDER MOWER HE SAID I DIDN''T SAY THAT! AND THE TAILGATE CHAINS WERE WELDED, SO THE GATE DOES'NT DROP, HE JUST SAT THERE AND WITH A STUPID SMILE, WHEN I TOLD HIM I WANTED A REFUND OR CREDIT, SO HE WAS NASTY, WORDS WENT BACK AND FOURTH AND HE SAID I'M NOT REFUNDING YOU ANYTHING!! They should let people know that there is no drop box for after hours drop off. Dropped truck off after closed had to call and wait 30 minutes to be told that had to bring keys back in the morning. Great other wise!Bonnie S.

When I picked up the trailer I changed the drop-off location to Punta Gorda but the attendant could not give me an address. I was told to call the original North Port drop off location when I arrived and get the Punta Gorda drop off location. I did that and was given an address and phone number. When I arrive at the location provided I was told that they did not take returns. I was the redirected to two different locations in Punta Gorda and was unable to return it to either one. I then call Uhaul and was advised that it would be an hour wait time for a customer service representative, which was ridiculous and unacceptable. I then drove to the original Northport location and they took it. They were jammed with all types of equipment and I was told that they were surprised that I was directed to Punta Gorda because they are the only place taking returns in the area. I was told I would be emailed a receipt but I have not received it as of a day later . Allot of unnecessary wasted gas and time for what should have been a simple return.Richard K.

The staff was extremely professional and courteous. I was really impressed. One of the employees even held the door open for me. They highlighted the information on my contract, reviewed pertinent information, all this with a smile! I also noticed the employees were running to get vehicles for customers. On our way to our destination, Punta Gorda, Florida, I was informed that the Punta Gorda location was not accepting trucks and I would have to return it to North Port which is 30 miles north of Punta Gorda. This is the second time i used the location. I had vowed not to come back, but i forgot the name of this store, but once i pulled up all the bad memories came flooding back. This time was no difference. I was not greeted, the process to check out was not explained. Finally, after a very uncomfortable wait , it began to unhook the trailer after all disconnections were made a staff member rushed over and unhooked the trailer. Did not acknowledge me, did not say have a nice day or nothing. Very unprofessional . Of all the many times i have used Uhaul, Military moves, and retirement moves i have never been treated so badly as at this location. Terrible service, rude people.Jerald M.

i used moving.help for p/u in Illinois and delivery in Florida. Illinois sub-contractor was excellent, timely and well organized. I cannot say the same for the sub-contractor in Florida. It took UHaul's representative to help me out even though the cost to the final carrier was high.irene J.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!! Where do you even start!!!!! The general manager is a DISGUSTING person. The worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. Rude as all hell 5 min after he decided to come out of the back to even help us. No hello or anything just looks at us completely stupid like why are we even here?? So I tell him I have a pickup then he CHANGES the drop off which was close to my house to a drop off that's like 30 min further. But it gets better, the way we saw him talking to the employees!!!!!!!!!!! UNREAL!!!!!!!!! You can just tell everyone and anyone who comes in contact with him HATES HIM!!!!!!!! He is the biggest jerk in customer service ever and I feel so bad for the employees!!!!! This is crazy and he needs to GO IMMEDIATELY. I have worked in customer service 17 years and now work a very prestigious role in Louis Vuitton and I do not expect that kind of service everywhere I go, but I def don't expect someone so rude and ugly hate in the way they speak. It's disgusting and I will NEVER EVER EVER IN my life step foot in another uhaul because of him!!!!!!!!MEGAN R.
People are great. Customer service from the website and phone is almost non existent. 40 minute wait times on the phone. Moving helpers did a great job loading and unloading. And the moving helpers customer service is much better than uhaul. The ubox was in excellent condition and sized just right. I would use uhaul again only because of the equipment and the actual people I dealt with. I would consider never using them due to their long wait times and confusing billing.Laurence S.

Guy working seemed either extremely tired or high. Didn't even sign the contract or anything. Didn't do a walk around of the vehicle with me. The text link sent to me stated the truck was in perfect condition and showed no damage in the photos but the truck clearly had a big dent on the passenger side bed. When I mentioned it to the employee all he said was â€œ yea I noticed those are old pictures. Then the paperwork he gave me said the truck took 34 gallons to fill. I only used 1/4 of a tank. So when I went to refuel it, I used the 34 gallons stated on the paper to determine how much gas to put in the truck. 34 divided by 4 is 8, basic math, so 8 gallons is 1/4 of a tank. I put 8 gallons in, and it practically filled the truck. Now they are refusing to do anything about it, saying it stated in the contact ( that I never signed) gas in not refundable. When the only reason I over filled it was based upon the numbers on the paper given to me.Rebecca D.

Again this wasn't my original drop off location and it was changed to a location further away from where I had moved too. While UHaul equipment is great their customer service is not. The original drop off location is not even 5 minutes from where I moved the new location was about a half hour away, which again adds to expenses when you add in having to fuel the truck back up to the original level. I big corporation shouldn't have this many issues with pick up and drop off of equipment locations. Might look into a different company next time.Jason K.

This place is a JOKE! & so is CORPORATE!!! I was stuck in the big lots parking lot with a uhaul that wouldn't even MOVE! Stuck for 6 hours with THREE children MOVING! They sent a mechanic && he didn't even do anything except keep his dog in the AC while my kids were sweating to the core. Then had to wait ANOTHER HOUR, For the tow truck to show! All this was done yet no one brought me another truck! But yet I was charged, EVEN WHEN THIS WAS THEIR FAULT! I'm disgusted with this place! Customer service wasn't to par either! The uhaul truck inside the cab was not clean. The front window inside was filthy, had to clean it my self in order to safely drive down the road. Every time I turned on the air conditioner I was over whelmed with the smell of smoke.JAN G.

This was the first time that I had a bad experience with a uhaul storage unit. This place from the get go looks very old and run down, the only reason I didn't turn around and leave first thing is cause I already booked it before ever seeing the place and I had first month free. I purchased climate controled so my things would stay in good condition but this was the worst version of climate control I've dealt with, every time I visited the unit didn't feel very cool at all and after a few months I see that my things are molding. I've never had a climate controlled unit mold my belongings before so I left this bad experience of a storage unit and as I was checking out, I find it that the AC for my unit building was broke for some time and that they finally fixed it. It would have been really nice for whom ever runs this location to let the people who have units know that they are having problems so that they can decide whether they want to change units or move out so things don't get bad but instead nothing war said and now I'm sorting through things with mold on them cause of their greed I'm guessing on not wanting to lose business. The staff members were excellent from the jump. One gentlemen, perhaps the manager, wasn't all that great, however, I upon my departure of renting two storage units, renting two one-way trucks and a trailer, I met the regional manger, "Bravo," whom was excellent. I wish I would have had the opportunity to work with Bravo from the beginning. Everyone needs a good wingman and Bravo went over and beyond to accommodate my last requests before departing. My unit was regularly blocked by other tenants. The facility is over run with trucks making it difficult to enter or exit. The staff watched me struggle to move out and then tried to charge me fees. The storage was fine, it's the part that when I moved out before the end of my month that they said I would not get a refund of over half the month that I was upset. What place would not give back your money when you are no longer using their service? I just think this is an unfair practice.
