We reserved 3 dozen moving blankets to protect the valuable furnishings from my mother's house as we were back for her memorial service and to settle her affairs after her death 2 weeks ago. Not only did they not have these but they initially charged us for them. When we called to have them track down some more for us they were less than apologetic or helpful. They told us someone from UHaul would call us so we waited over an hour with no call. I went to Home Depot and purchased supplies including the blankets for over 300 $which was as much as the trailer rental ( the truck rental was over 1 200 $). We never received a call back.

We were given a 20' Uhaul that had the catalytic converter stolen off of it. We were told it was ok to drive to Dallas, TX. We were not told that it would greatly reduce the gas mileage and emit fumes into the cab. Me, my boyfriend and my cat were in that Uhaul for 20 hours. My boyfriend and I are having headaches and sore throats. We should not have been given this Uhaul to drive.

Manager/Owner as his name tag reads was incredibly rude. There was a long line of people, and I was in a hurry. When I got to the window I asked the sizes of the open trailers. He told me to go outside and look, and pick one. I asked him this very simple to answer question again, he insisted I go walk outside to look at the trailers. I walked outside with another employee who was very nice. Just after we walked outside, I asked him the sizes, and he told me, and I turned around and came back in. Didn't have to look at anything. Now I get to wait for him to process another person before getting to me. Try listening, and not being such a jerk. If you truly are the owner, I wont be coming back to this location. As you don't get it.

You guys did great. Stop asking people to take a survey. This is my opinion about surveys…if the executives at a company are so out of touch with the actual people and procedures that either make or break it, a survey isn't going to fix the problem. Instead of hiring a survey company to crunch the numbers and come up with stupid ways to find out those numbers, why don't you earn the huge salaries your making and actually get involved with what's really going on. Just my opinion.

The reason I wouldn't recommend this location to a friend/ family is because of GM, Rodney Zayas. He's unprofessional and abusive towards his employees. He took one of the ladies working at the front counter in the back and proceeded to go off on her for the better part of 10 minutes, using four letter expletives. This is completely unacceptable and the employee would be well within their right to file a hostile work environment complaint with the EEOC. Get rid of Rodney. He's trash and shouldn't be in management.

Equipment was ok, but the check in process was really poor. Impossible to check in online, I had to go to the counter, and there it took 15 minutes. The person who handled me looked completely absent-minded

Charged me for bringing the auto hauler to the wrong location when the strap was broken and unsafe to continue with a car on it. The staff was inexperienced and had never removed a car from a hauler. I had to do it by myself and was charged 51 $!

Rude in person service from three employees. The key was not in the lock box once given access to it. Witnessed an employee drive a U-Haul truck in the parking lot and swipe the side of a sign creating scratches. Awful website that is unresponsive and a slow app. Why do you make it so difficult 🤦🏼‍♀️

Communication, I wasn't notified that my pod was going to arrive later than expected so i felt stupid waiting around all day and could have used my time more wisely. They also picked up my pod 2 days later than when they said they would (which i understand due to truck breaking down) but overall it just added to my already negative experience. Some thing were out of anyone control but I dont think I would go through Uhaul again

The mobile process is much easier than working with the staff at this location. Unfortunately, even though I was doing everything on the app, they forced me to go to the counter and work with the agents instead. I ended up having the van booked for the wrong amount of time, which caused a lot of problems when I did not return it when they were expecting.

The rental department needs to start staggering rental times OR have more than one person handling the counter on weekends. Over an hour wait to get my already confirmed reservation not a fan.

Low front counter staffing means you wait an hour in line. The online truck pickup never works, I've tried it several times and it always locks up then the front counter can't unlock it. But I guess Uhaul is just a small mom ‘n pop shop and can't afford a solid web app.

Although the people who checked me in and attached the trailer were very friendly and knowledgeable.I went back on Monday to ask a question and the guy was very rude and unprofessional. He yelled at me till I left the store. I was wondering how to unhook it and he told me several times. Not our problem and do I understand.

I used Truckshare 24/7 for the first time. What is the point of going through all those steps on your smart phone if you still have to go inside the store and stand in the same long line as people with no reservations, just to pick up the keys?

I reserved a 26 foot truck and received confirmation. When I showed up to pick up the truck though, I was only given a 20 foot truck. The loss of this six feet caused me to have to make two trips for this move. So it took me 2 hours longer than it needed to due to have to drive the route again, then this caused me to be charged another 90 miles in the mileage fees. Or a great experience and I had to pay more due to U-Hauls problems.

I was overcharged for gasoline. I brought it back at the same level as I picked it up by adding 20 $at the gas station. I was charged an additional 13 $upon drop off.

Great experience. Staff seemed very happy and it reflected in their performance. Very professional, personable and friendly. Easygoing and appreciative are two more words I would use when describing this location. Overall rating 1-10 10 being the highest I would give them a 15.

I Reserved a car transport at a different U-Haul location. When I went to the U-Haul location to pick up the transport I was told the trailer was at a different location. I was not called nor emailed reference the new location. They revised location was 8 miles out of my way.

Dear Uhaul, I booked a reservation (Contract 23341214) from Scottsdale (Dispatching location 822031) to Flagstaff. During the booking i was offered a 99 $discount to bring the uhaul back to the origin point (Scottsdale) in stead of Flagstaff. I said no, but then my circumstances changed and I called back later and was told I could change it to roundtrip and receive the credit. Then when I arrive back to Scottsdale, the manager, Rodney Zayas rudely and unprofessionally said I would not receive a discount or the credit for bringing the Uhaul back to Scottsdale. He said he was everyone's boss and they all answer to him. He never apologized and said what I was told was mistaken. I understand it's very difficult to hire people right now, but this guy would do nothing but turn away business for Uhaul.

Everything was great except that the vehicle was not filled up with gas. It had 1/8 th of a tank in there. I thought that was not ok as this was being rented for our wedding weekend to transport decorations to and from the venue. Normally rental vehicles come with a full tank of gas and this is what the lady said when we returned the vehicle. I commented to her that it was NOT the case and it was very inconvenient for my father to have to get gas the day before our wedding on top of a normally busy schedule.

The staff and especially the manager are just flat out lazy. I had to ask multiple times for a card to get into the building. The worker who initially set up my account/ storage unit was very impolite and wanted to do as little work as possible. Any question was met with a very annoyed response. The experience I had here was no doubt a direct result of the manager who wouldn't allow me to leave the storage unit unlocked and with nothing in it for about a half hour whilr I went and got my lock and items I was storing in the unit. When calling into this store to try and move out I had to call in 4 times, each were met with an employee putting me on hold for over 20 minutes each time before I hung up. I never got threw to them once and had to call into the main U haul number to finally check out. I have used U-Haul a bunch of times in the past and my experience was wonderful. Not a single complaint ! This store was so bad that of I did not know how it stacked up to others, I would never use U-Haul again. This is unacceptable and in an incredibly wealthy area like Scottsdale, this entire U-Haul store needs some serious looking into.

2 price hikes in 6 months was the breaking point. Rented a different unit that is double the size and has AC for the same price. Attempted to use mobile check in for van rental and after jumping through the online hoops I still had to go inside and check in with an attendant. Due to my work schedule getting to our unit during the day proved difficult and it is an extra fee to have longer access hours, not the case at our new facility. I get supply and demand but feel that Uhaul is erring on the side of greed.

Exceptional service. Was able to get into unit a day early because my itinerary changed. Realized I need to upgrade to a larger unit and the process was seamless. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Even better, after about 15 minutes of moving stuff in, management came by with a refreshment and was very mindful that I was staying hydrated while moving items in. 10 out of 10 experience and definitely recommend!!!

Rodney runs an excellent operation. We watched him maintain order when customers became indignant or rude. He was very fair to us and made us feel as though our account mattered. His team is available and works hard to minimize waiting times or errors with paperwork. We've used several U-haul storage facilities over the years, but this has been the most excellent of them all. We are grateful for their assistance with our move across country!

We rented the unit online and it came with a free lock. We checked in online and received a text confirmation of the unit number, code to enter the building and confirmation that the lock was I n the unit. We purposely checked in online as we waited in line for over 40 minutes to buy moving boxes the prior weekend and wanted to avoid that wait. When we arrived at the unit, the lock was not in there as stated. We ended up having to go to the office to wait in line for 30 minutes. It was extremely disappointing that we checked in online to avoid the painful wait, yet that is exactly what ended up happening.

The guys in the parking lot were very helpful and accommodating. The lady who helped me inside the building was rude. She asked me for my address, even though I already have a customer file due to having a storage locker. I said "shouldn't you have that already?" and she said "Sir, I just need your address." She would not even explain how idiotic it is that uHaul does not already have my address handy. I let that go. She wore a facemask BELOW her nose, which is ridiculous. I asked for a pro-rated refund of my storage locker and she said "we don't do that" instead of showing me the contract. I did not push on it. The facility is not clean, the equipment in the main storage area is falling apart. They constantly ask everyone NOT to park where it says "customer parking" and to PARK IN THE STREET which is far less safe. GET your act together.

there needs to be more staff, there is alway a long line and wait. the staff does their best, but they seem to be understaffed.

Out of 8-9 attempts to enter, my code only worked on my move out day. I drove 24 min one way to get there only to realize waste of time, I can't get in. Doing this multiple times gets old, so no, I'm not fond in any way of this place! One might wonder why they are paying 270 $/month for a 10x10 they can't access... but whatever. It is what it is. I would pay tripple that just to get out! Also every time I called store, without fail it was approx 20-25min hold to speak with someone ... even the last day I showed up and no other customers were there... so I hung phone up and walked inside. That's a joke.

The staff was excellent and very knowledgeable. The drop off location and storage unit was easy to access and navigate the large truck and trailer I was returning.

Some bait and switch in process. Website says free first month with truck rental in last two years. Person at facility said this applies only if the truck rental is one way. Website says free lock. Person at facility said the lock is 11 $. Not sure if it's lack of training or purposely bait and switch. Otherwise, the rental process was ok.

The manager was extremely rude. My trailer had been taken by the time I had arrived when no one had told to pick it by a certain time. Made moving very stressful! very poor customer service
