Customer service at this location was horrible !!!! Waited over a half hour to turn in truck. Then they charged me for 2 gallons of fuel. I have gas slip for 6,22 gallons....I'm pretty sure that covers 41 total mile driven. I would suggest another location other than this one.ROBERTA G.

Make sure the staff who assist with attaching the tow-dolly are trained and knowledgeable. Young man you attached mine didn't know how the ratchet strap worked, and when he guided me onto the dolly, I was actually on an angle and didn't set squarely in the tire pockets. Towing was 'squirrely', and fender would bump my car during a right turn. Ended up going to a different U-Haul location to get car attached correctly. No issues after that correction.Brenda S.

This was the first and last time that I have used uhaul. The website is unnecessarily confusing and when I needed to change something, it wouldn't let me. Calling 800-go-uhaul means I have to wait at least 45 minutes. Even when I call my local uhaul I get forwarded to 800-go-uhaul. I was told that I "had" to let the destination location know when I was going to be there. For what? When I got there, I had to wait for them to retrieve my ubox. Other container companies that I have used have the process nailed down. Guess who I'll use next time...Ken V.

Their record-keeping is terrible. When I was there to hand over my space, they were trying to help a renter to get his invoice corrected. Who was upset as there was some billing issues and not recorded properly? I had emptied the storage two months ago and did inform the young lady at the desk. I have tried calling and emailing them but no response. Finally, I was able to speak to a gentleman and informed him about this ordeal, and made it to the house. I submitted a dispute about the 30,00 $ fuel service charge and gas charge of 6 gallons about this order. Shortly after I received a call from you saying you would remove these charges. I saw that you put 30,00 $ refund to my credit card. I thank you for that. But you did not refund me the charge for 6 gallons of gas. I don't think that was fair. The total mileage I used your truck for was less than 25 miles. How could the truck consume 6 gallons for 25 miles? Besides, I added more than 3 gallons of gas to the tank before I return the truck. Please either explain how your 6-gallon fuel consumption charge was calculated, or refund me the unfair gas charge!Jun M.

the truck had seen better days ....it ran ok, but had almost 175 000 Miles, and shook when I went over 40, so took back roads the whole way. Easy check-in and out, but went to the Worcester location the next week and they were 10X more organized. I didn't have to find my own equipment (dolly, blankets, etc) and get them into the truck...the Worcester location had everything in the truck, and it was pulled up to the door for me. In Northboro I had to trek through the parking lot trying to find it.KATHLEEN O.

Make sure that the actual amount of gas is reflected in the gas tank. I was told I had to return it full because it allegedly was full, but when I drove away realized it was actually only 3/4 full. I will be disputing this because I brought it back full and have the pics to prove it. If it had been an 1/8 of a tank, not a big deal, but 1/4 of a tank is definitely significant.JENNIFER G.

While the process itself was fine, I was charged an extra month and late fee even though we notified the counter representative that we were moving out. We only used the storage for a few days. Then we called customer service who said they would take care of it and that we owed nothing, but again we got an email stating that were delinquent. U haul reservation center made huge mess on my reservation. So there will be no stars for U haul reservation team. But the folks at Northborough center were helped a lot to resolve those issues and made my U haul rental smooth. I strongly recommend this location.MAHARAJAN S.

Make sure customer understands the process for returning truck after hours. Was a little confusing but was able to figure it out. Also, truck should have had tire pressure checked since it was low. Otherwise, a very good experience.MATTHEW P.
When I arrived, my prepaid, reserved truck was not in the pickup area. I was told that it was broken, and I'd have to wait indefinitely to see how long it would take to fix it. I had to demand to speak to a manager before the staff agreed to get me a different truck.MATTHEW K.

Very difficult ordering process with the web site. Equipment availability is concerning as my rented vehicle was not available. The Northborough location was great and was able to be flexible to get me a vehicle and save what could have been a disaster. The team at the site was very busy. It seemed like they were training someone. I needed help connecting the trailer to my vehicle and ended up doing most of it myself...fortunately a very helpful young man eventually did make it over to help do the complicated parts. The sites need more people, and I'm sure they're working on that. As for the trailer...it was in good shape. Functionally though, it seems to need some sort of a jack to get lift it to the trailer hitch. I used my car jack. It was too heavy for one person. I actually needed to disconnect it while using it and that wasn't really an option. Also, great job on your technology.Allen H.

Store was very clean and welcoming. Didn't send link for initial inspection until we were on the road. It expired before we could fill it out. Had to call 800# to get new link. Had to wait on hold 30 minutes. The truck had a ding in the windshield at driver eye level. The truck had lots of damage in front. Why hasn't UHaul done repairs to vehicle? Prior customer probably paid hefty bill, or for insurance. Why wasn't it repaired immediately? Would this be considered insurance fraud? Also, tire service light came on 1/2 way to our new location. Had to pull over to check tires. Very dangerous. Nothing visibly wrong with tires. This truck needs service, new windshield and body work in line with the money that has been paid by prior customer(s).JOSEPH H.

The General Manager, Eusebio Bacova, was very helpful. My rental was not available in a location within a reasonable distance for me to travel and Eusebio was able to work it out. The overall U-Haul reservation experience was horrible. Customer service reps at call center were not helpful. If not for Eusebio I would be exploring other options for my next rental.Gregory M.

We waited over an hour to get the truck we reserved. This held us up and it was late in the day and the location was closing. We had a trailer that we were renting and had to get that back as well to a different location. The previous person didn't return it on time. Not their fault, I understand, but the manager said he was going to give me a 50 $refund once I return the truck, which I did that same night well before the time frame. The next day, the manager argued about the 50 $he offered to give me. I didn't ask for it, he offered it, then took it back when it came time to process it. I have text messages to prove this. Overall arguing with a customer over another 25 $when that entire incident held us back from doing everything we needed to do, plus adding to our costs because we didn't make the other place on time, is wrong and bad customer service. He could have made the situation better by doing what he promised instead of arguing over something he originally offered.LYDIA N.
I have rented many uhauls from this location this is the first time the truck was dirty inside the seats both had a sticky residue on them and had to be cleaned prior to getting in. The parking stall where the truck was located was 6â€ from a building which made it extremely difficult to back out or walk around for inspection prior to leaving the location.Sean P.

Full disclosure, until this event I was an employee, I ended up quitting after this, so no I'm not writing this as a disgruntled employee who was fired. I reserved a pick up truck for 7/31, put in for a self dispatch so I could get the key from a lockbox and go. I got there a few hours after my scheduled time because my pregnant girlfriend was in the hospital, but none of that matters because I know for a fact I should be able to get the key. Only problem is there's nothing on the app allowing me to get it from any of the lockboxes. I called customer service as the store was closed, sat on hold for 20 minutes and no one ever answered, I texted the GM saying I was trying to get my key and he tried to tell me there was no key left out for me (a lie) because I missed my pickup window (not a thing with 24/7 dispatches. So after loading up 2 small children I went back home. Fast forward to the next morning, I go in to pick up my truck, visibly annoyed, only for the GM to tell me with a smirk on his face my truck reservation was canceled when no one had called to see what was going on, then tried to blame me for it being canceled, mind you, I worked there, pretty sure longer than him and I know how this system and dispatches work. So this guy knew I had a reservation and that I showed up to pick up my truck the night before and then in the morning knew my reservation was canceled by people in the traffic department (the ones who find trucks when things are overbooked) and never even had the professional curtesy to let me know before I loaded up the car with two small children for the second time. Then I pretty much had to tell him to look at other stores to see what they had, he checked one store and that was it. Oh then the guy that closed came in and asked me why I didn't take my key he left in the lock box for me, I quit on the spot saying I wasn't coming back to work once my injury healed. This is the most incompetent manager I have ever seen in my life, good job Jerry, shouldn't have let Brandon leave so easily.DAVID M.

My drop off location was wrong. When I got there the person in charge took about 30 minutes to find I was in the wrong place(the address I was at was on the contract. It took me almost 30 minutes to find where he sent me, and they did take my trailer, but I then had quite a long drive to get back home. Worse, there was a Uhaul drop off only 5 miles from my stated destination, that would have been a 7 minute drive, instead of the hour and a half I spent, to say nothing of the wasted gas.John B.
The location was good. The overall experience was stressful. We had originally booked a pick up in our town then the night before was told pick up was 1 1/2 hours away. After spending over an hour on the phone with 3 different people we switched to a closer location 30 minutes away. We arrived at that location at the designated timeâ€¦ the truck was not there. We had a go back 4 1/2 hours later to get it. We were told we would get a credit of 50 $when we dropped off the truck the next day for the trouble. This did not happen. After calling customer service and spending another 30 minutes on the phone we were given the 50 $credit . This was a very stressful process.JOHN S.

The gentleman at the front desk, somebody give this man a cookie and a raise of course. The level of customer support provided by him was on another level, I'm ashamed I can't remember his name but the experience I had overall is something I will remember and will certainly try to put into practice myself. Oh the bathroom, I try to avoid public bathrooms as much as possible specially during this time, but to my pleasant surprise IT WAS SUPER CLEAN!!!! Also how I was able to set some items aside for recycling another person may use, it was great. The clothing donations bins on site was extremely convenient. The MONTH FREE storage for renting a vehicle was a blessing! Management, cleanliness, storage/truck availability, indoor heat fan by the garage door. Ok you guys did it, this store did it and that man should be the face of your advertisement. We measured UHaul's superiority over the competition in the following areas: - Customer service: We worked with Felix and Sarah in the Northborough location and they were truly remarkable. This aspect stood out most to us. Sarah went the extra mile to reserve two different sized storage units for us that were across from each other to ensure our convenience. Felix dedicated his time to both us and the movers and made the actual move date very efficient. - Cost: Comparable to the competition, but at this cost, the competition's storage units were not indoors and heated and did not sell moving supplies. - Moving supplies: Order a little more than you think you need and save the receipt. We returned all unused boxes and unopened items for a full refund. We were very happy about this! If you opt to order supplies online, allow for free delivery 2-3 weeks prior to move date. - Heated indoor storage (as stated above). - Several sizes of storage compartments from which to choose. - Access hours were far better than ALL of the area competition! - Indoor lightining and cameras go far to ensure security of belongings. Recommend that phone and in-person communication may provide a more fruitful experience than using the online.
