I was renting a trailer - 5X8. It had a lot of time and miles on the unit which was fine, however the tie down bars inside were either missing or not attached to the wall. It pulled fine and the lights all worked.
Richard Y.Double axle trailers are very heavy. Should have a jack or lift attached to trailer tongue. Too heavy for Uhaul associate and I had trouble taking it off my trailer hitch.

Peter M.I couldn't start the vehicle on the return, the key wouldn't turn the engine and the dashboard display did not show indicators like fuel level or what gear. Turning the key made an odd sound in the back of the van. The problem was a locked wheel that I had to figure out on my own. Calling UHaul assistance never mentioned that, just turn the key around and try again. (I did later find a YouTube video on this).

Thomas F.When i initially got into the truck. The window was shattered and the drivers side mirror was completely taken off. No one would have known if i did not go back to the desk to tell them. Also i was supposed to pick up my truck at 8:30 but the employees from the previous day never put the keys in the lockbox so i had to wait until the store opened at 9 which delayed my move.
maria Z.You have wonderful people put in absolutely horrific situations when you have 1 person working on a Friday afternoon on the weekend of the “first of the monthâ€. Just ridiculous. You should be ashamed. Absolutely ridiculous. The location is beautiful and the staff was WONDERFUL, but they are so overwhelmed because you can't keep enough staff. I have an idea; tell your upper executives to make less money so the people that actually work can be properly rewarded for their efforts.

My experience that day was not welcoming to continued to do business with U-Haul no one called me to tell me my reservation was moved to another location which then had the first location scrambling to get me situated.. not only did I lose money and time but I also had to pay for a ride and had to travel extra 18 miles to get to the location where the truck was… not how I expected things to go

christopher S.When I returned my truck to the spot the sign said wait Nicole for the attendant to come to inspect it. I waited ~20 minutes In the vehicle before proceeding to the office to find 3-4 U-haul employees standing around Except wasting my time and your money. You have a New State-of-the art facility; Virtually unmanned. I only recommend this facility if you live within a few miles of its location so that the quick travel time mitigate the long long unnecessary wait.

Ayhan K.The young lady was so incredibly nice and professional but the general manager Eusebio was so rude and very unprofessional. We had an ER and had to keep extending the truck rental daily after several days the card was declined. He called and harassed us, was rude in the phone, was rude in emails, I had to tell him multiple times do not email me anymore. The truck was returned on a Thursday and he claimed he didn't get it until Sunday. The experience with him alone made us certain we would never ever use that location again.

Paul G.Agent at check in should provide printed paper especially when adding on surprise extra days rental and insurance. Printed paperwork shows I checked out at 900am and checked in five days later at 1005am, but because of delays at checkout it was not really an extra days rental!
James R.You can't reach them by phone. Then they tell you to use the mobile app to check in. The mobile app doesn't work for uploading pictures from my phone. Spent 45 minutes trying to contact someone via chat to upload image.
JAMES C.Ensure they know to go through the return checklist before returning the key. I was told to just park the truck, and drop the key through the slot (it was an after hours return). I did so, then checked the text and found I should have taken pictures before locking the truck and returning the key.

I did so, then responded to the text I had received, and found I needed pictures that I couldn't get as the truck was locked.

noreem B.I ordered equipment that I did not get. I needed a furniture dolly to move our heavy furniture. We were given a smaller dolly that didn't quite perform the same function and still charged the same for it. Our move was a lot harder and labor-intensive. Had they prepared the order ahead of time, they could have told us that they didn't have all the equipment we needed and we could have made arrangements.

Mike E. | Premières impressionsFirst of all, the people working at that location are nice and pleasant. My main complaint is that I ordered a truck and two floor dollies. When I got there, I was told that they didn't have any floor dollies. This is a broken process. When I order the stuff, is when I should find out what is available. On moving day, I want to be able to marshal all of the resources I need to get the job done. Instead, I had to make last second arrangements with a friend, which, fortunately for me, worked out. Don't offer up for rent dollies (or anything) that you don't actually have.

ANTHONY B.Unfortunately I was charged for an extra day on my rental due to the employee taking an hour to check the van in after I dropped it off 25 minutes early. My inquiry to uhaul about the unwarranted charge has not been acknowledged and as such my experience with uhaul has been below average.

NICHOL F.The first van I was given had bad breaks. I came back to swap it out and the next van had low tire pressure which I needed to fill myself. This added up to almost an hour and a half extra time I spent moving. This was frustrating at best.

My code didn't work ("User ID not recognized") and the card key that the woman gave to me returned an error, "Not checked in yet". The woman on duty tried several times to resolve it without any luck. It might have been the system needed time to register me as a new customer. Facility was perfect, particularly liked the drive-in garage. The unit itself was very dusty - so maybe a pre-move in sweep could be one additional improvement. Merci.

You have two outstanding features that I have not seen at other storage facilities. 1 - a "share space", where people are putting gently used items, so others can take them 2 - a dumpster (great idea, although I didn't need it at this time)

Instead they told me to call the 1-800 number or come back the next day to speak to a manager. Other than that experience that had me waiting at the front desk for almost a hour trying to figure that out, it was good. The facility was clean and secure and easily accessible.

Who was upset as there was some billing issues and not recorded properly? I had emptied the storage two months ago and did inform the young lady at the desk. I have tried calling and emailing them but no response. Finally, I was able to speak to a gentleman and informed him about this ordeal, and made it to the house. Alhamdulliah

The level of customer support provided by him was on another level, I'm ashamed I can't remember his name but the experience I had overall is something I will remember and will certainly try to put into practice myself. Oh the bathroom, I try to avoid public bathrooms as much as possible specially during this time, but to my pleasant surprise IT WAS SUPER CLEAN!!!! Also how I was able to set some items aside for recycling another person may use, it was great. The clothing donations bins on site was extremely convenient. The MONTH FREE storage for renting a vehicle was a blessing! Management, cleanliness, storage/truck availability, indoor heat fan by the garage door. Ok you guys did it, this store did it and that man should be the face of your advertisement. I pray God bless and protect each one of you, and thank you for making our lives a little bit less stressful during these difficult times.

The garage door had come down in the middle of the hotter summer months and this created a humid environment. The sliding glass security doors between the parking area and the storage units was very foggy. Because of these changed conditions and being closer to the front, my belongs had mold that I had to spray/wipe down upon move out.

daivd v. | Expérience généraleWe measured UHaul's superiority over the competition in the following areas: - Customer service: We worked with Felix and Sarah in the Northborough location and they were truly remarkable. This aspect stood out most to us. Sarah went the extra mile to reserve two different sized storage units for us that were across from each other to ensure our convenience. Felix dedicated his time to both us and the movers and made the actual move date very efficient. - Cost: Comparable to the competition, but at this cost, the competition's storage units were not indoors and heated and did not sell moving supplies. - Moving supplies: Order a little more than you think you need and save the receipt. We returned all unused boxes and unopened items for a full refund. We were very happy about this! If you opt to order supplies online, allow for free delivery 2-3 weeks prior to move date. - Heated indoor storage (as stated above). - Several sizes of storage compartments from which to choose. - Access hours were far better than ALL of the area competition! - Indoor lightining and cameras go far to ensure security of belongings. Recommend that phone and in-person communication may provide a more fruitful experience than using the online. Seeing supplies before you buy and taking advantage of professional expertise will leave you satisfied.
