We arrived at 8:05am, store was supposed to be opened at 7am, no one was there. Employee arrived about 8:35am and opened. No apology or explanation. We were on a tight schedule, this was very stressful.

When I arrived there was no one in the lobby and 3 other groups of customers showed up within seconds of when I did. There was a note on the desk that said use a hand radio to contact someone if there was no one at the desk . We tried several times to use the radio But we still waited in the lobby 10 minutes before someone showed up to help us. When the associate showed up she said that the second radio was not working ..??? Bad customer service!!

The truck had some transmission issues. It would not shift gears smoothly. Also, if you tried to put it in reverse from the drive position, it would pop into neutral. It did this several times. To engage reverse, you first had to shift it to park, and then shift to reverse. I used this for local move so not too bad; however, I would not have been comfortable taking the truck out of town.

The young lady working was very friendly. Our reservation was missing a few things that would have made picking up smoother. It took a while to open the gate to access the truck and the keys were not in the truck as previous locations had done. With that said i would still highly recommend this place because staff was friendly and she was doing a great job for working by herself.

OH MY GOD. I wouldn't believe the depth of inept behavior if I was not experienced it for myself. I just spent my time this morning, same as last weekend, chatting with customer service yet again about a very bad experience at a local UHaul location yesterday. At the end of the chat, I asked for a confirmation of the credit I am supposed to receive as a result of last week's horrible experience. I asked that I also receive a copy of the trascript of today's conversation. What I just received via email is a trascript of LAST WEEK'S (9 Oct) chat conversation regarding the ridiculous experience I had when my reservation was canceled. So here I sit AGAIN, wasting my Sunday morning reaching out to customer service trying to resolve yet another screw up and subpar customer service experience with UHaul. I NEED A CONFIRMATION that the certification from last week's debacle has been applied and a refund is being issued AND I NEED A copy of THIS MORNING"S transcript/conversation regarding yesterday's transcaction. How difficult is this?

This UHaul location is the worst location I have ever rented a truck from, and I have used UHaul on many occasions. Last weekend this location canceled and then gave away my 10' truck without notifying me. I pulled up my account to have the reservation info with me before I went to pick up the truck and that is when I saw that the reservation was not there. had to search my account to find the information under the "communication" tab, despite the fact that there was no communication. When I called to ask why my reservation was cancelled, I was told that it was because I had not arrived at 9AM, the time that the truck was reserved for. Subsequently, no other 10' was available and I was not able to complete the move last weekend. When I contacted customer service last weekend I was given a 15 $gift card for the inconvenience. I reserved a truck for this weekend, the 16th of October to complete the move. When I made the reservation, I entered the certificate number under "promo code/certificates". The credit was applied. When I went to pick up the truck, the credit did not appear on the invoice. I asked the clerk at the UHaul location why it did not show and I was told that "it would be applied at checkout". When I checked out the clerk took the key and indicated that she would email me a receipt. When I received the receipt I could see that the credit HAD NOT been applied. I wish that I could say that I was shocked, but because of the poor customer service that I continue to receive when using UHaul. SO, I spent Sunday morning chatting with the UHaul customer service to request that the certificate be credited to my account and a refund be applied, which of course will take 3-5 days to happen. IT is unbelievable how bad the customer service of such a huge company is and how they continue to thrive despite themselves. I will definitely look at other rental truck opportunities going forward because this is a ridiculous waste of my time, everytime.

Everyone at the location was fantastic. The 800 number personnel setup my original reservations at a location that did not even have a vun or expect a van for 3 hours after my reservation. The personnel on West Tennessee St. found a van for me on Cap Circle NE. They were great. The van was clean and ran great. Your reservation system needs to be reworked completely. They should not be able to make avreservation for a truck that is not available. Personnel at both stores said it happens very frequently. That means the system is broken. Also, if a vehicle is promised, it should not be available for rent until 1 hour after a reservation in case the person is running late. Fix the system to stop someone from going to the store They have a reservation with and having to give to a different store to get their truck. From now on, I will verify with the location the truck I want is available before I leave home.

When I rented the 15' truck, I thought everything went well but I guess not. 1. The gentleman who did the contract never explained about filling the tank. I assumed that since I am paying for the miles, gas is not applicable and I should have been told. 2. The gas level on the contract indicated 7/16 and that wasn't the case at all, it was more between 1/4th and 3/8th. Again, I cared less since I assumed paying by the mile is enough, and therefore ignored. 3. When I dropped the keys, there was a additional slot to drop the contract. I didn't understand and start reading the contract and realized I am suppose to fill the gas but too late. 4. Odometer reading on the contract said 160004, but it was 160006 by the time I hit that road, This is on me and should have raised it. 5. The total miles driven were 24 and no issue here. 6. Since I did not fill the gas, I been charged 31 $.5 for 7 gallons @4 $.5/gal- Question is does it take 7 Gallons of gas for 24 miles. I think it is highly unlikely. This adds weightage to point#1 and 2. Overall I felt like, Uhaul kind of cheated me by intentionally not informing about gas, sneaking in miles etc. very disappointed. This is a complaint and a feedback.

I made a reservation by phone, but as I checked in, another customer had already been given the truck on my reservation. I went in the office, and was directed to restart the check-in, and they would give me another truck. I went through the entire process again, and checked out another truck. After getting assistance with the use of a new key (trouble starting) I left with the truck. I returned to the same location later that day and again did it via phone. The process of photographing my license, scanning it, and photos of the truck afterward was cumbersome. It felt like it took more time than it would have to do it in person. I understand that it's safer at the time, but it was not as user-friendly as it could be. The employee I spoke with was helpful and friendly, I only had an issue with the system.

The truck that I rented needed some maintenance, the tow /haul button never went off. I was not towing anything. The braking system needed maintenance also.

I requested 12 moving blankets then I was informed that they did not have any in stock. This was necessary for our move. The employee said that we could pick up the blankets from another location. This was not a functional suggestion as this implies that I now have to utilize my time and money to resolve their unfulfilled promise for my delivery that was reserved weeks in advance. Somehow they were able to find 6 blankets in another truck after he saw that this was not pleasing to me in any manner. I also overheard the same issue with another customer whereas their supply needs were not met either & directed to another facility to ratify an oversight once again on the part of U-Haul.

No fault of the employees where I picked up the truck, but the reservation/confirmation operation is confusing. When I initially booked the truck I thought my first request for 9:30 a.m. for six hours was secure but when I checked in, the time had been moved to 4:45 p.m. for six hours. The same problem happened with our U-Haul storage when we went to transfer the truck to storage. Thought the reservation with a confirmation # was secure enough and upon arrival we were told we were told there were no storage units available and we are behind over a thousand people waiting for a unit to open up. We were left in the lurch. The only upside was the transportation side of U-Haul offered us another day with the truck loaded with an small apartment to find a solution. Needless to say, we underwent undo stress and confusion. I will be reporting this issue with the storage department of U-Haul. YOU MUST MAKE IT APPARENT THAT THE RESERVATION/CONFIRMATION ONLY MEANS YOU MIGHT GET LUCKY OR YOU MIGHT GET SCREWED.

Only issue I had was the representative could not find my key to the truck I rented. I was given a spare after 20 minutes of waiting. I don't know how y'all lost a key, but I would say don't do that for the next customer.

Ordered an appliance dolly and upon arrival was told they didn't have any. Was initially sent to wrong truck. Picked up appliances from store and that store loaded onto the Uhaul I ordered, I got home and discovered the ramp didn't work, so I'm at home and can't get the refrigerator off of the Uhaul. I called the Uhaul store and an employee tells me, “Oh, someone should have told you that ramp is messed up but you can sometimes ‘jiggle it' to make it come out”. I returned the truck to get another, so I had to back the new truck up to the old one and then had to slide the fridge from one truck to the next…all by myself.

I had to insist that employee check in my rental truck. I was responsible for it for two more days and did not want any problems. She did not want to get off her chair and go out to do five minutes of work. Totally unacceptable behavior from a Uhaul representative, reflective of bad business management and/or practices.

Never again. 15-foot noisy old truck. It had the driver´s seat belt plug broken, so it kept beeping as it could not detect I had my seatbelt on. Should have taken a photo of mileage and gas. I feel absolutely cheated.

The vehicle I rented was not available (even though website said guaranteed). I was given an alternative vehicle which was good. The problem is that I was charged for gas and mileage for the rental. The truck had the minimum gas in it for a rental when I picked it up and it was far less gas efficient than the van I rented. So, basically I got charged an extra 25 $and was screwed by the truck not being fully gassed up.
