When I called back, I find they had canceled my unit . I had to go thru and redo paperwork, while I was working. So they canceled without even talking to me. Just so happened I check messages that day. The green tag was in the door still showing I hadn't even entered yet. I wasn't moving stuff till Saturday. I was told because I didn't put my lock on, that it showed I had moved out. Seriously? In and out in not even 48 hours? That just makes me worried now! Did I choose the right place to store my stuff?!?!?

Emanuel HarerimanmaThe U-Haul representative was friendly, but the truck was solid ice when we went to pick it up, and there was no ice scraper inside (we live in North Dakota - where'd the ice scrapers go?). Scrapping and warming up the truck put us about 30 minutes behind for a trip to Jamestown and back. There was a time when you reserved a truck, and they had it running and cleared of ice and snow in the front of the shop for you. I miss that type of customer service (heck, last time I was in Bismarck, the tech had me dig out the trailer we were renting from snow and ice and hook it up ourselves).

Karl StadickFriendly and helpful staff. Online app was easy to use to make the reservation. Pickup and return process for a trailer was simple. I've rented from this location several times and I appreciate the easy access location. Costs were very reasonable.
dennis schmeetsOverall a decent experience, the place was clean - no rodents or pests. Great location, easy to access units. My only suggestion is that there be more upfront information about what one would consider "climate controlled." There is a small residential dehumidifier that is run during the summer, but other than that your belongings are not climate controlled. The dehumidifier was not able to keep up with the moisture in the air and all of my cardboard boxes released the tape and crumpled in on themselves. Any items you may have that might freeze, or shouldn't be held in higher temperatures shouldn't be stored there, and having wood pallets in the units we were in are a must as there is standing water in the units after rainfall and snowmelt. Again, overall decent experience… we've rented and stored with you before, but this was the first time we had issues with standing water.

LORI LEFORI am quite concerned in regards to the way Paul handled my situation to get into my unit. There was a mix up on uhauls side in regards to the actual unit I was in and would not let us in our unit. I had to ask him to not raise his voice to me, i believe highly that I was being dissipated against as he made it very obvious that he thought I was there to steal something. I would ask you to look at your cameras and review the situation at hand. I on the other hand have quite the letter made to send to corporate to state the incident

Stephany Wold | Online Move InWhen I was checking out (after swiping my card) it gave me an error message. It worked when I checked in, but not when I tried checking out (and I tried swiping out maybe 3 times). So I went to the front desk and explained what happened. The person at the front desk ended up canceling my rental unit (as he thought I wanted to cancel versus just fixing the check-out (due to the error message, that I had explained to him what happened when I received that error message). I wasn't aware that he was canceling until he printed out something for me to sign, and and I asked about that - he then said needed that as I was canceling my rental. I again told him I was not canceling, rather just needed the error message taken care of as the swiping of my card errored out, and my checkout was not successful. Long story short, it took quite some time to get me reinstated (and since I had prepaid he had mentioned the credit due to his misunderstanding would be offset by the same charge as the credit. When I checked my credit card, it was not the same. The manager called me back later, and explained why, and the additional charge between the credit and the charge would be applied to a future payment (my current rental would have expired 4/13/2024 and he then said it would be 5/14/2023. The person who misunderstood and cancelled my contract, if he did not understand what I had explained (in that I just needed the error message corrected so I could check out) should have asked me before canceling (as again, I did not know he was canceling until he gave me the paper to sign)! Anyway - I believe the manager made this right (I should know on May 13, 2024 (as that will be the end of my current contract term). Then after that date, I will do the "annual renewal", pay in advance for the next year and receive 1 month free for doing the annual renewal. Gary Bakke

I came in a little hot because of the confusion about reservation versus rental, and I was worried because I had already made moving arrangements for today 11/8. She was very calm and patient, and very efficiently figured out and set up a solution. Major kudos, as I know I was probably on the verge of being a difficult customer but we figured it out!!! Super sweet and really appreciated her. :)

Louis MeyetteEverything was great except the appliance dolly that was given to me had poor wheels that made it difficult to move. We used it for one thing that we really needed it for but didn't for anything else because of that. The only other thing I would say is making sure the staff know where the moving trucks are. It was freezing the morning I picked mine up and I was told to go to the north side of the building to get my rental. After looking around for awhile and not seeing it, I finally walked to the other side and it was at the southeast corner of the building.
Jason GreenThis site is terribly managed. I reserved a truck and a storage unit but no one on site could give an access code or the number of my storage unit. The truck I reserved was not available and I was forced to rent a smaller truck. I loaded that truck Sunday night then lost my hired movers. I showed up at this facility at 6:45 am on Monday morning with the hope that the manager would be present at 7:00 am opening and I could get the storage unit. No one had arrived by 7:45 so I had to go to another U-Haul rental service on 13th Ave. to secure another rental service. I feel this site should have reimbursed me for the truck rental due to their mistakes. Instead they charged me for additional mileage that they caused. Please review this sites practices and clean up the app problems because we were told on several phone inquiries to use the app, but I was unable get the app to work. Pictures of license would not load. I will certainly not use this location in the future and am considering other options for moving and storage services.
tim cochranI hadn't done this before, was a little confused at her questions, I was treated with complete disrespect. I got laughed at twice and I had to waste almost 45 minutes to obtain the key (it was frozen in the lockbox) and clearing off the ice from the u-haul. They tried to downsize me before trying to get the key out. I'm upset to say the least. I work in customer service and understand we all have tough days, but I didn't deserve that.

Now I am wasting my time providing documentation and pricing for all the items they haphazardly discarded. I am also waiting to see if I will be reimbursed fully, at a depreciation rate at all for uhaul horribly inexcusable error. Uhaul should follow the motto you lose, we lose. Thus is the most extreme error a storage company could ever make. Uhaul should admit it and learn from it and not make your customers suffer do to your inadequacies. I have filed a dispute form and am in process of working with a uhaul insurance adjuster. This has been a horrible experience for me.

Ronald HansonThe cargo van was not the same measurement as was viewed online for which we rented to transport artwork from the house that I sold to the condo which I purchased. The cargo van leaked oil which left a huge oil stain in the driveway of the house where it had been parked for two days until closing on the sale of my house and in the parking area of the condo where it was parked overnight before returning the van to the U-Haul rental store. What a mess to deal with!

I really don't understand the reason for that since we literally are not storing anything during the month of October and you can know rent it immediately and make double money for the month. Then it finally got returned and I get a call later saying I hadn't returned it and it was due back at noon, which it was. Overall, equipment was in decent condition but the service leaves MUCH to be desired.

Then not credited extra time. Will actively search for other businesses in the future for support (this isn't based off of one experience and in complaining to others, they actively agree that they too have had poor experiences).

Tried to move our 3200lb camper and it barely lifted it up. Every bump we hit the concrete, was trying to speed up and was bucking and couldn't go over 45mp. Maybe put a tow box on the back of them to keep them from dropping.

I went in on Monday and only the truck was reserved causing me to stress and frantically try and fine another storage facility, luckily I made it with 15min of them being open, this was the west Fargo uhaul who was extremely helpful but not the 13th street uhaul. U-Haul caused moving to be nothing but stress and frustration. I am very disappointed and would never recommend or go back.

The unit was very clean with no traces whatsoever os "critters". It was easy to get in and out of. All my dealings with staff were pleasant. I needed various trucks, trailers, etc at different times and those could be rented there as well as boxes or other moving needs. It was a great experiences and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. No matter what my problem was, even when my outside unit lock was frozen shut, they helped with unthawing it, and opening it for me. This 52nd site is the best U- Haul site in this area. It has more to offer, more supplies and they have much better service. I have used 2 of the biggest U-Haul places in Fargo. This one on 52nd Ave might be further out of the way, but it as with it. Love them attitudes of all the staff. A+++ rating for me.

The storage area is both safe and secure. the inside heated storage area is kept so clean you could probably eat off the floor. The staff is both friendly and helpful. HEATHER CARPENTER | Premières impressionsI arrived at 8:20pm to move out of the storage and could not get in the building to get in my storage during business hours I called and text the number on the key pad and the manager of the store never responded after driving four hours to get my stuff out of storage then I called customer service they could not get ahold of him either Two days after moving out of the unit I received a call from a lady asking me if I moved out of the unit because there was no lock on the unit why do white people always watch everything black people do and their every move After I moved all my stuff out of the unit I went to the office to let the girl with the case or boot on her left foot know that I was moved out so she wanted to do a walk through with me which I found strange I have rented storage units several times from uhaul and never had to do no walk through unless it was because I was BLACK so she went and looked at the unit and checked me out and these people still called my phone asking me if I was checked out I will not use there storage ever again the manager sucks and no one ever answers the phone at this location even when there is no one inside the store nothing but lazy workers that don’t do nothing but what colored folks through the cameras ( U-Haul Moving & Storage Of Osgood 5200 Veterans Blvd Fargo, ND 58104)

Adam Sorenson | Expérience généraleI loved our experience with UHaul on 52nd Ave South. From beginning to end, it was a wonderful experience. The staff are all friendly and extremely accommodating. Xavier went above and beyond to deliver and pick up the U-Pods. I will definitely recommend you to others! I also love the idea of being able to return boxes for others to use! I recycle as much as possible. So I took advantage of the recycled boxes available to us to use as well during our move. I have only two suggestions: Our mattress got wet from a leaking U-Pod. We were never offered any discount on that pod for damage we endured due to the leaking U-pod. This would have been courtesy your store could have offered to make that experience better for the customer. Also, might I suggest daily options for U-Pods for people like us who didn't use them for the full month. But other than that, our experience was GREAT! Merci.

MARY BOEHM | Expérience généraleWe had a storage unit, and water leaked up through the concrete floor, and ruined a queen size memory form mattress and box spring, a king size mattress, we were able to salvage the box springs, and our leather reclining sofa and love seat. A young lady that worked there came and took pictures to show the manager and said he would be in touch, he never contacted us. I went in three times the manager was not there 2 of the 3 times, he was there the second time, I waited in the lobby for 30 minutes, the counter person informed him twice I was there to see him about some sort of reimbursement for the losses, since the damage was not in any way caused by us. It was cracks in the concrete that let the water seep up through the cracks. He had the counter person, come tell me to call my insurance for the damages. I spoke to a family member who practices law here in Moorhead and was informed that damages were/are not mine nor my insurance company's responsibility my attorney, due to poor design and poor craftsmanship. I am not seeking a full reimbursement, which totaled over $4800.00, I requested only $800 for a down payment for the replacement beds and a new sofa and love seat that was financed. I believe that it is more than fair. I have been out of town 8 of the last 10 weeks and have been unable to get this taken care of. I would like to resolve this matter as quickly as possible. Each time, the staff just says that they can't reach the customer. Well, if the customer is not following the rules that UHaul posts, then have them towed in order to meet your own rules and expectations. Sounds like no one wants to take action, just take the money and move on. This location is very convenient for us but the frustrations out weigh that.

He stayed on his phone, was lazy and complained and wanted us to rent another uhaul for the next day at around 12:30 pm he just started with his 3 guys at 8:20, his 4th guy left early in the afternoon and he wanted to charge us for 12 hours and 4 guys. They took long breaks and an hour and a half lunch that they wanted to be paid 200 per hour for 11 They wanted to put all the boxes in garage. My wife was there for most of this and the one guy said he was going to sue her and said his back was hurting. The guy that left early kept asking my wife to give her my daughters guitar amplifier. I was there for some of it and I have to say that it was a very bad experience. $1 800 for the day. I probably won't use Uhaul movers ever again. My wife wanted to add that they complained about having to go up and down stairs.

They are helpful, the storage facility is always clean and we don't worry about break ins as it is very secure. The carts they supply are an extra bonus and so helpful in transporting your items to the units.

When I got into my unit, there was insulation hanging from the ceiling and when I called to share that, it seemed like it was no big deal and that I shouldn't care. Well I cared because the insulation is there for a reason and with how much this unit was, it should be in place where its supposed to be. Then, when the maintenance person came to fix that insulation, on a very muddy wet day, they drove their truck in our unit and left a heaping mess of mud and water in our unit. Not sure if people realize what goes into these units but its NOT stuff you want getting muddy or wet. I called to ask if someone could clean that up and out and I never got a call back after being told they would have the maintenance person meet me to clean it up. We will not use this location again in the future and I wouldn't recommend it. Also, my move in date on this form is wrong. It was 3/1, not 2/22.

The vibe in the facility is friendly and cheerful which is complemented by the large amount of natural light in the office area. Some storage facilities are just bleak. This one is the opposite. Quite pleasant. Irrespective of Bret's management, this new facility is quite user friendly with only a single issue identified. The only changes I would recommend are adding a canopy over the loading dock area, and re-configuring the loading dock entrance to include a second set of automatic doors. This arrangement is present at many newer grocery stores and it minimizes the dust that gets into the building and has a.great impact on minimizing heated air in the winter and conditioned air in the summer. The day I moved into the facility was absurdly windy (as Fargo sometimes is) and the single automatic door at the end of the afternoon was rendered inoperable by a fierce wind from the south that blew directly on the south facing doors.

There is a bus parked in the spot next to it and the bus is angled so it blocked almost half of the spot. I went to the desk inside and the worker cancelled that spot and moved me to a different spot. However, when we went to park our camper the remote would not open the gate. I went inside and there was nothing in the system for me. When the worker cancelled our first spot he must not have reserved the other spot. Luckily the new spot was still available, had it not been I am not sure what we would have done with our camper.

Daniel Holoien | Expérience généraleperhaps this facility was just not for us. the timer on the lights was irritating, if I was working on something in my unit all of a sudden the lights went out, and I needed to go all the way down the hallway to get the light sensor to turn on again. In the middle of winter the elevator broke and needed to store things in another unit, then come back and move it as soon as possible so I wouldn't get charge for that one, moving in the second level was a big mistake. Didn't have electric in the unit, so if I needed power it would have to be plugged in the hallway.
