The staff was friendly, professional and efficient. As I rented a trailer for the first time, the vehicle verification was done in less than 10 min. from parked car to leaving! The drop off took even less than 5 min. I highly recommend this Uhaul location.

Fix the online check-in at Coventry Road. It did not work during pick-up, and I had to wait in line for a long time. I remember this happening to other people in the past, so... has this ever worked? Overall, I'm still happy with the truck and the online service I received with the truck rental

The politeness of the staff and also when you reserve a dolly, make sure the dolly is inside the van or truck! If you realize it is missing like in my case, only when you arrive at home, you will have to pay the mileage for return and pick it up or if you decide not to use the dolly, like in my case, you will be charged for it! If you do not want to be charged, you have to return to the same store the next day and explain! In my case, it was difficult for me return to the store, so I was charged and that was it!

BEWARE OF BEN. The original receipt from the sweet french lady on the phone was for 3 days… we get to the Ottawa U-Hall center, we had to do an other location different then the original for no Reason (not the same info has the central) the guy at the counter must of done a mistake he only put 2 days on the bill so on Saturday we get a call IT WAS BEN!! he wanted to call the police on us FUN TIME!! we wasted 1h going back there just so he tells us we can keep it for an other day. BEWARE OF BEN. Message for Ben : that is not how you talk to a Customer you just made a big mistake.. we wont be coming back that is FOR SURE.

Originally, I had scheduled pick up time at 9.30 am, it was changed to 2.30 pm without consent and was not offer any option, even the location was changed. Gas in truck was supposed to be 1/4, but it was more like 3/8. I had no choice but to take the truck. Poor service

I have rented from U Haul in the past on quite a few occasions This rental was the best yet. Customer Service was excellent Van was clean and fueled and easy access. There was no wait to be served.

Everything was good except for the online reservation process. I rented a truck at 1 location and had to pick it up at another. It was not an issue for me but on my email confirmation it was not clear where to pick up the truck as there was 2 addresses; 1my desired pickup location and yours. If I would have not pay attention to my invoice I would have waited at the wrong place. Like I said not an issue for me, but a friend of mine got really mad for exactly that reason, and he could not do his move.

The mobile app was great. I suggest folks get there 15 minutes early to complete. Also , if you can have a sign inside for app users to pick up their keys would help. I lined up...as a good Canadian and found out I didn't need to only after. Other than that it was good.

The Truck was clean, but had a bit of issues, First the driver's side door needed a bit more force to close Secondly the front wheels had issues (it was wobbly and veering off the road) took more caution to keep control and get it to my desitination. (The personnel at the drop of said it was most likely it was a power steering issue) 🤷🏾‍♂️

I reserved a truck a couple weeks in advance, and I was called ONE DAY before my move letting me know that there was no truck available and I'd have to drive out 50min to get the only available truck which was a 26 foot one when I only needed and only felt comfortable enough to drive a 15 foot one. Was only able to get a truck two days later when I had to move out the day I initially booked the truck for. This caused me so much stress, and I'm honestly not going to book Uhaul from now on.

When someone rent a truck to move and you call him the day before to inform him that there is no availability, it creates lot of problem in the organization and the first is that the renter need to free his rent house.

There should be a line for people with a reservation -- especially on the first of the month. I waited in line for 30 minutes while several people in front of me argued with customer service representatives trying to get a reservation (there were none) or wanted to pick up at that location even though their reservation was at another location.

Make the online checkin less complicated. Theres too many steps involved and the instructions are not clear. There is no way your basic average joe would be able to do online check-in. You'd have to be very tech savvy to figure it all out. Scanning the bar code or taking a picture of the bar code doesn't work. Please remove or change this step. There has to be another way to confirm that you are at the location. Also stop with the false advertising about the cost being 19.95, because it's not, and almost never is. The cheapest you could rent for a day is like $50, that's what u need to be putting your vans

I made an on-line reservation at a location near my house. I requested that I be contacted via email if there was any change. On the day of my rental I arrived at the rental location only to be told there was no rental for me there and that the booking had been switched to a location on the other side of town. I was not impressed. No one contacted me to inform me of this change. When I told this to the desk I was given a shrug and informed a text message was sent (I do not own a cell phone). The indifference to this mistake has not left me with a good impression of Uhaul and will likely rent from someone else next time. My company often rents vans and small trucks but I can't see myself coming back to Uhaul anytime soon.

I rented a 5' x 8' trailer and towed it about 600 kilometres behind my SUV. Arrival and return were easy and quick. The trailer was in good condition and towed easily. This was the first time I have rented a UHaul. It was easy and cost effective. I will do it again any time I have stuff to move.

Have different lines for those people that just want to buy moving equipment and those that are renting the vans and trucks. It took us 45 minutes to get our truck even though we completed the online check-in. Maybe have a different line for express check-in. Overall besides waiting for the truck, we had a great experience!

The 26 Foot truck I had rented was dirty on the outside, covered in bug guts and driven down a dirt road, the cab and box where in great shape! Would definitely rent again! A clean truck is a happy truck!

Returning app does now to work and neither does U-Haul.com/share. Also, was never notified that the reservation was changed to a different location so had to drive an extra hour out of my way which lead to a lot more km charged. I will not be using U-Haul EVER again!!!! This company sucks.

Hi, I completed the uHaul Pick up process on the counter, there was no mention of a fee to be paid if you don't check out the truck using the website if you come after hours. I found that when I received my invoice, I already over filled the gas tank mark by $15 and now I am losing another $20 because someone “forgot” to mention that fee, I would have done it have I been notified. Not happy about that, hopefully you can waive that fee. Thank you

Bonjour, la réservation a été changée plusieurs fois concernant l'heure et l'endroit. J'ai commandé un dolly et un utilitaire mais ils n'étaient pas disponibles. J'ai quand même accepté de prendre un dolly plus grand et plus cher mais le collaborateur a mal compris et ne l'a pas ajouté. Je suis parti pour déménager, mais je n'avais pas trouvé le dolly. Je suis revenu pour le récupérer et il m'a été quand-même facturé.

I fill out online all my personal info believing that my checkout would be easier...but when I got there the info was asked again on my phone ( yes I know for security) but I mean apart from a blood sample...then had to go inside to finalize my reservation waited 30 minutes ( not first time at this location wait time not improved) I dont believe Uhaul has heard of this virus going around called COVID. Its confirmed I will rent from someone else

This seemed to be the only location in Ottawa with trailers. A location somewhere in the West end of Ottawa would have been preferable. I was also prefer if everything could be done outdoors. I did the pre-checkin but still had to go inside to sign stuff. The people outside had phones and seemed to be able to do some checkout things right from the lot. Would have been nice if they could have done everything.

To start, We never received a confirmation call from this location so the night before I had to call Uhaul company line, wait on hold for 15 mins and inquire where I was picking up my rental. Upon arrival there was a line to the door. The outside staff were friendly enough but they seemed very stressed. The front staff were all rushed and 3 out of the 4 front end staff were rude and when someone would mention they didn't get a call they would tell them that's impossible, we called you, it's your fault. When they talked amongst themselves they were calling the customers liers and saying they did not miss any calls. However, with the amount of complaints they got that day I can only assume this is an ongoing problem. A representative even called from another uhual location claiming the client was at their location beacuse the Coventry road location had not called them. They proceeded to tell the other worker that the customer is a lier and that they called him, while the customer was there on the other side of the call. It was very unprofessional and really left a bad impression. All this was happening in the 30 mins it took us to get to the counter to check out. Once there the gentleman that helped us was very kind. He did not have the same attitude as the other 3 men. If we had only dealt with this man my experience would be different however hearing the other 3 men shout constantly and accuse people of lying right in front of us was unacceptable. When we finally got thr keys to our truck The outside guys were so busy and run ragged that the just pointed and said verify everything. It was lucky for us that this was our 3rd time renting but for someone who doesnt know that would be very fustrating. When we came to check the truck in at the end of the day there was a line onto the street which it totally dangerous. When we asked them if we could park it somewhere else and check it in with our mobile device they said no and made us wait. When they checked us out, again the man was nice enough but I could tell he was stressed beyond belief. He was so rush that it was confusing and I had to ask him multiple times if I was okay to go or what he needed. Overall, I would rate this experience very fustrating, very stressful, and to date the worst experience I've had renting from uhaul. In fact, due to this and other Admin issues( at which I will reach out to leave a review) i will not be renting from Uhual again.

I will never recommend Uhaul Storage to anyone and have reported you to the Better Business Bureau and have thoroughly detailed the fraudulent business pertaining to your insurance coverage. I have been told this is not an isolated incident and that this is entrenched in how Uhaul conducts themselves. I am the Director of Communications for a $15 Billion CPG company and will also be reaching out to my national media contacts across Canada to share my story in hopes that I can save someone else from renting through Uhaul and save them from thousands of dollars in damages, too. On top of not properly maintaining the drainage system at the facility, Uhaul does nothing to mitigate vermin and instead just traps the ones they find, does not dispose of their carcasses, and does not care that they run rampant across the storage facility. Just an absolutely horrendous experience from start to finish.

The experience was awful, I couldn't get to store my stuff for two days. I had to keep the truck in a parking for 2 additional days then go to another storage company. You have a great truck rental service, I was expecting similar with the storage service.

Moving out was very stressful given the fact that the parking lot was a mess. To make matters worse my brother and I were asked to push some uhaul units out of the way by hand in the rain. Lineup inside was really long and nif moving. I would never use uhaul ever again. I have friends that have stored with Dymon storage and they are extremely happy with everything across the board. I truly wish I would have had a much better experience.
