I rented a truck and when I arrived at my destination I discovered that the rear roll up door was pad locked rendering the truck useless. I was told the key should've been on the keychain, it wasn't. I had to drive 20 miles out of my way to purchase bolt cutters to cut the padlock all the while being charged for mileage. Put my job off schedule and delayed pickup for my customers… It also cost me more in wages. I can go on but that just about sums it up. Normally you guys are pretty good but this was a ridiculous experience.

I had too many pads which took up space. The original packers tried several ways to get the most in. My stuff was packed well. The Destination packers were equally careful land efficient. Both ends were helpful and personable. I highly recommend the movers at both ends. I would use either movers again.

I was overcharged on the gas 40,00 $ wow that's a ripoff if you ask me. 19,99 $ came out to over 114,00 $ with all the extra fees they charge you , now if you ask me that's rediciulously

Have a truck available for reserved time requested! Don't expect a customer to drive 50 miles wrong direction to pickup truck! Have more service representatives available so hold time isn't 1hour + and last but not least if a employee tells a customer they'll check in truck do it in a timely manner. U had to return to store next day to confirm truck was checked in, which it wasn't because someone locked key in truck, then they asked me to play for time truck want in my possession! Doubt I'll rent from U-haul again! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

On site customer parking should be a requirement of any business, period. I shouldn't have to pick hairs out of the seats that were there when I rented the vehicle because I'm worried that I might get charged upon return. Had to slam all doors hard because the latching mechanisms were already shot. Less than 10 000 miles and these vehicles are already abused to hell.

Improve tracking of uboxes. No one could provide a location of where they were so my uboxes were basically missing for 5 days. When you're whole life is in a box that is missing, it's very unnerving.

The cashier helping us was very nice, but they sent us to a different lot to pick up our truck, and it was not there. She had told us to call if there were any problems, which we did, but no one answered, so we ended up having to drive back to the original lot and search for our truck unassisted. We eventually found it but were irritated we were given incorrect directions and had to resolve it ourselves. The day before our pickup, I called and waited on hold for over 35 minutes, trying to speak to someone to confirm if there would be air conditioning in the truck due to the excessive heat this weekend. I find it very disappointing that both times I tried to call for assistance that no one was reachable. That is unacceptable in my opinion.

When our Uboxes arrived in Tacoma, I called to arrange delivery to my home near Gig Harbor. I was told they could not deliver to my home. They offered no solutions for how I could get the boxes to my new home. I spent hours on hold, on their website, and finally going in person to try to solve getting my furniture. The Movers Help part of the website would not let me customize my delivery and I finally had to coordinate movers trucks to the storage facility, empty the boxes and drive to our home and then pay to empty the moving trucks. I will never use nor recommend Uboxes for a move.

They took over an hour to get our truck clean after we arrived despite an appointment. They lost the keys to the vehicle underneath. Two people went on break and left a brand new guy to manage a store by himself. The brakes didn't work. There was no way to park the vehicle when we got there and their check in app didn't work

The staff in Tacoma told us that our U-boxes would be shipped to Topeka then we could schedule them to be delivered to Manhattan Kansas. After the fact we found the they were sent to Topeka as a drop shipment and onste unload. Fortunately we have family with a large enough truck that we could drive to Topeka and transport them ourselves to Manhattan and unload them. Also the 14 day guaranteed delivery only starts after the 15 days the can take to get a a truck to delivery the U-Boxes to your destination. There was another family that were military going thorough the same situation trying to get their boxes to Fort Riley that were also coming from Washington.

Gas gage was not at the 1/2 mark as said when picking up. It was between a quarter and 3/8. My milage wasn't check when returning yet it was below the estimated 20 miles, but I put in 15 $in gas which gave it well over what was in it to start. Will never use this location again ...nor will o recommend it to others!

We had to exchange the truck for bigger one anyway change for both trucks for the day. All the customer service guys had to say was we can't charge any less than the full day charge so we paid 40 $to drive it to the house and back to your shop. So now we will pay for two trucks, I am very disappointed that there was not acception since it was not really used.

No parking for customers - how do they expect us to come in to transact business? Return process appears to be flawed. Signs said to wait in vehicle. After 10 minutes with no indication anyone even saw me I went in, waited in line, then got a clerk to help me. I returned the trailer at 11:30 AM. My emailed receipt said I returned it at 7:50 the next day. Did it really take them almost an entire day to finally process my return in the computer??? Did that mean your inventory didn't show the trailer available all of that time and perhaps lose you a rental???

The first location I had a reservation at that was last minute was Lakewood off of Pacific Highway! I got there approx 5 min prior to closing a man walked past me to inspect a /ruck with the worker. The door is locked. I waited for the worker to come back so I could check out. He finally came back and he asked how I could be helped. I told him I was there to pick up my reservation. He looked at his watch and said "We are closed. I asked if he couldn't rent to me and he again said " we are closed" I look over and a couple worker [f his wS standing there letting him in tge door. I did not see her in there previously because the lights were out and the door locked. There was another lasy there to check in after me and I noticed the black Å‚ady helped her ( coworker(. I was not informed of the after hours rentals til > called parkland,( which is always awesomw). This was my 3rd time renting from u haul this week because of my remodeling my home. It may also be my last. Ive always liked the convenience of renting a truck if needed but I dont like being treated the way I was treated and definitely will not be using the services of the lakewood location.

I reserved online but realized I needed a trailer earlier than the original time. I took a chance, drove in, and spoke with a very pleasant woman who was able to change the reservation and get me a trailer. Then, I returned it early and the guy took off the extra day. Merci!

The vehicle I rented was a van. When it came to verifying mileage and fuel I couldn't the mileage wasn't showing it just said oil change required. And the fuel in the app.omdivated the tank had 3/4 tank but it was only 1/4. Some people at this location are good but it is clear that others don't like to move. They're lazy

The whole deal was a clusterfuck. Went in and reserved a 26 foot at your Spanaway store from Thursday night to Saturday afternoon. Go to pick it up and the worker behind the counter put me down for returning it Friday afternoon and it was booked directly after. Say the the phone for a half hour, the manager showed up did his magic on the computer and found one at the 96th street store, which was cool dude really went above and beyond to help me out. Thank god I took a photo of the odometer, because when i returned it the mileage was off by 100 Miles on your slip, so I had to fight and waste time to get that fixed. Y'all need to get your shit together, I highly doubt I'll ever use you again. Your employees were friendly and took care of me, but it never should have been this way.

I did not get the uhaul i applied for online, i got a bigger one that used up 100s$ more in gas then I expected, i was not given any time of refund, and i had to wait until they found my makeup uhaul from another location. Which also didnt come with the blankets i ordered.

After a “guaranteed” delivery on May 20th, I had to reach out and confirm to then be told that my delivery was not able to be done on that day with no reason given. After having to reach out multiple times, my ubox was delivered a day late and the representatives I spoke to at Chantilly were rude. One lady had laughed at me over the phone when asked if it could be delivered the next day. I ended up having to call another local store to find out what the best next steps were for me to get someone on the phone who would seem to care about my delivery.

My unit was broken into. Thought only a few thousand in items were stolen when I did a quick walk thru. After moving my stuff out found that more than I originally thought was taken. Around 5 thousand dollars worth of items stolen. Was told cameras were not working that day! Haha!!! All this does not even include the items that can NEVER be replaced!!!!! Oh and OVER 5 thousand dollars in tools that I didn't know how to account for because I've been buying them for over 20 years. So thank you for keeping my items safe Uhaul. I can see from your public tv in the lobby that the cameras look fine to me but for sum reason they didn't work when all my stuff was stolen. As far as renting a truck from Uhaul that seems to be ok. Thanks for everything

The directions to get into the door where the storage rooms are could of more direct. I had to slide my access card in one door and into another door. If is was not for another employee who was on a break I would been confused how to get into the building.

The staff wasn't terrible, but also wasn't super helpful resulting in my average rating. I asked for 5 000 $worth of insurance coverage and they only gave me 1 000 $so I'm mainly upset that I didn't get what I requested. Apart from that, the GM was very friendly and you could tell that he really cared about his business through the way he interacted with both his subordinates and the customers.

It very hard to get a hold of someone. I haven't been able to get in my storage unit. For almost a week not the waiting time is longer than stated. I want to know why my access was denied. I even sent an email.and no one has responded

I wish I could give this more stars, but every single time we ever talked to a U-Haul employee we had negative experiences. They clearly do not hire people that are friendly. It's especially bad as this was my first experience using their storage facility. It was very confusing at the beginning how we were allowed to enter and exit the building. Every time we asked for help they were unfriendly and somewhat unhelpful. They spoke to us like we should already know exactly what we are supposed to do. I had a huge sense of relief whenever we stopped using the storage facility yesterday. The facility itself seemed maintained well enough. I felt the price was fair. I just don't recommend this company due to the horrible customer service.

Your call center are not trained well. I was promised twice a 24 hour access storage unit and jumped through hoops to arrange everything just to be told that it was NOT 24 hrs when I got to the location. Ended up having to keep the truck I rented a whole 2nd day when I shouldnt have.
