Mileage was wrong, I showed the person at pickup my mileage was wrong.could not drop off the truck correctly because he did not update the mileage as discussed. Was charged 150 $for the extra 200 miles on the truck. Called customer service to remediate, which they did not do. Next morning after being charged 150 $the person in who answered the phone (David Tran) was rude with me and hung up on me.

Returning the Uhaul at this location was a nightmare due to the parking lot. It was terrible trying to get it into the one parking spot that wasn't blocked by other trucks, which also happened to be right next to a pole and fire hydrant.

We were charged double the amount we were supposed to be charged. We drove max. 10 miles and we were billed 88 miles. When calling the store the attendant didn't try to help us. Eventually we were given a refund.

Everything went very smoothly until I actually needed to use my unit. Access hours are clearly marked as 5am to 10pm. I showed up at 8pm and GUESS WHAT??? It's apparently not access hours! I don't care if your access hours are only 4 hours a day… LABEL YOUR HOURS CORRECTLY! I can't think of anything more aggravating. Now I have to wake up at 5am the next day to see if I can even get in, since your hours aren't accurate. Incredibly stressful. Fix that, and it would be awesome.

Online instructions need to be reviewed with individual stores. The vehicle I reserved was not available for self service, but there was no signage indicating that I had to go into the store. I was further delayed because the reservation was being reviewed before giving me the keys. Basically, I was given the option of remote service when I made the reservation, but the store didn't have the respected to effectively accommodate that. There are way too many add-on product screens to navigate during check out.

Really the biggest issue that I had is that u-haul sent me to pick up a tow dolly to a location without one causing me to be really late for a couple appointments that I had plus they made me drive a half hour away to get a tow dolly which put a good amount of miles on my trip, besides that picking everything up was smooth.

The person working there was really helpful and parked my truck in their lot immediately. It was not clear at the location or the instructions through uhaul where I should park the truck. The street the store is on had limited street parking and that only lasted 2 hours. I don't know what I would have done if the location hadn't been open when I returned the truck.

Clearly stated the truck was dirty when I picked it up but was still charged a cleaning fee. An employee called me the day after my rental trying to hustle me into paying ridiculous additional charges. When I called her out on it, she quickly walked it back. Nice try…

I have scheduled my appointment some days before. When I arrived that day, the woman at the store told me that if when I return was no parking lot available, I should pick off the truck the next day. I really do not have space where I can park it near my building, and I had already my appointments to go and pick up the stuff, so I had to use the truck anyway. When I returned, the parking lot was full but there were some spaces in the back. As I could not park it other way, I had to enter to those available ones by the little street on the side. It was really difficult, but I had no choice. I think it was a problem of the store that they do not had a good organization of the parking lot, because there were two available lots but the access to them was almost impossible.

I had made a reservation for a 15 foot truck 10 days in advance of my move. 2 days before, I was called and told only a 10 foot van was available. I received an email instructing me to call UHaul customer service is this reservation "did not work for me." I called and stated that it did not work, as a 10 foot truck would not be big enough. UHaul said there was noting they could do. I asked for discount for inconvenience and the customer service agent agreed, but this never showed up on my bill. When I picked up the truck, the gas tank was nearly empty. I returned truck with more gas than I had picked it up with , and then was charged 14 $for a "fuel charge," with no further explanation. In order to fit all of my belongings, I had to rent a trailer from UHaul, nearly doubling the total cost of the rental expense. This was a very frustrating and costly experience for me.

The Truck was rented until 8 PM and i dropped it off at 7:30 but got a 20 late fee. I could not get internet at the store so was charge 10 dollars more. There was a lady there that picked up the keys but i still was billed late.

Although I had no issues with this location and the customer service agents were wonderful, friendly and very helpful…. the storage units and surrounding areas seemed dirty. The first storage unit they assigned to me smelled like a dead animal. I had no issues getting a new unit but I am very skeptical about keeping my belongings at this location and have already started looking elsewhere for other storage companies. The workers were great and I have nothing but compliments about them it's just the general upkeep of this building that seems dirty.

Late night drop off: I parked on the sidewalk in front of the other trucks since that was only place on the lot that it would fit. I hope that I didn't inconvenience anyone else trying to get to their trucks. Other than that, great service and will come again.

The young man at the counter was exceptional. Very polite, helpful. He came outside when we returned the truck to help us as well. Terrific! The truck cabin was filthy. I had to wipe down everything before we used it and the wipes came back black. Also, the gear stick kept getting stuck in P. It was a struggle everytime we had to switch gears.

I've used this storage locker multiple times in the past and always had incredibly positive experiences until yesterday. Off the bat, the woman assisting me was irritated and distracted while chatting on facetime. She then said she couldn't assist me because they were closing, despite it being 40 minutes before closing. I had to insist to at the very least get my key card and unit #. Additionally, the online hours for this facility say office hours go until 8pm and storage access until 10pm. But I was told I'm not allowed to go anytime after office hours, which apparently are until 7pm. Some clarity online or amongst staff would be much appreciated if I'm going to continue using this facility.

Suppose to have truck to 6, because having being rerouted to another uhaul 30 miles from my house and early pickup time than my local uhaul. Called customer service after pickup explained this too rep, said she would adjust my time along with the extra miles I had to drive. Also told the girl at this drop off location she said no problem and just got my final bill and still was charged extra day after all that.

I had a preferred pickup location and was never informed or notified that the location had changed. I had to go 30 minutes out of my way to pick up the truck. No one ever texted or called with the change in pick up location.

It's pretty annoying being seen standing in line for 10 minutes and then being told to move to the other side where the line is supposed to be only to be told to come up to the counter a minute later. It's not like there's clear signage either that the line is supposed to be at a certain side. Your website with all of the upsell attempts are a waste of time. Just put it all on one page.

There's no WiFi in this location and it took me some times to upload my pickup infos since my internet was kind of slow. And I also couldn't just go do the counter checkin since the lady said I have to do it all by myself once I chose self check in. That's inconvenient :(

Obtaining the rental vehicle was the easy part it was returning it that was an absolute fucking piece of shit. They tried charging me almost 100 $for a 3 to 4 foot long piece of two-by-four that was simply unscrewed and claimed that I had damaged it and that it needed complete replacement. A single peace of wood with a screw wouldn't cost even close to 100 $. When I picked up the rental the "bump rail" wasn't even properly secured in the first place and was practically falling off, it was no question that it just simply had unscrewed itself and falling the rest of the way off and then they tried to charge me 100 $to replace the damn thing. Although I contacted customer service and I'm waiting for the refund, without any question, they just charged me the 100 $to my card and now I'm gonna have to wait almost two weeks for the refund, if I even get it! Hell I even offered to come down and screw the damn piece in myself. Only reason for two stars and not one was solely to the lady I was connected to when I contacted customer service was nice. Otherwise, U-Haul's a joke and clearly only wants money from there customers not proper customer service.

uhaul is a scam i got a one way truck specifically so i could get first months rent free on a storage locker but when i arrived they told me it only it valid if you drop you truck at the same place where the locker is why was the not mad apparent on the website?? i had to pick up a truck all the way in NJ when i’m from PA just to end up having to spend 60 $more dollars then expected

I made an online reservation and activated my account at the storage site on May 8th,2021. The staff I opened my account with were friendly and respectful. She communicated to me the difference between UHaul's office hours and access hours. I understood the storage unit access hours were until 10PM. On June 26,2021 I arrived at the loading dock around 6:50PM, and was told to leave the building by the staff working that day. They stated only businesses had access to the storage unit 24/7. They were rude and unprofessional. We waited outside for two hours trying to figure out why we didn't have access until 10PM. It was extremely stressful as we came from CT to access the storage unit. We called UHaul's and they informed us we should be able to access the storage unit prior to 10PM. On July 10,2021 I closed the account unit I had open. The same staff who I interacted with in June closed my account. While I was leaving the elevator I witness a UHaul's woman employee being a Hennessy alcoholic bottle from her car (that was parked inside were the Uhaul vehicles are) to the front desk where she was working.

Charged for gas, and it was wrong. I only drove approximately 20 miles, and I purchased 2 gallons of gas before I returned the vehicle, and I was still charged a refilling charge. Bad business!!!

My reservation was not ready when I got there after reserving it 4 days prior. The staff didn't give me any explanation and then told me they could retrack my "reservation", after I was already frustrated for standing there with no answers for over 20 mins. I was told I could use my own lock then they told me I couldn't agree I got there wasting 30 $on a lock. They also tried to charge me an extra 30 $a month more than originally quoted.

The Associate Sunday (male) was very helpful, knowledgeable and helped me with closing my unit. The overall condition of the unit was dirty and disgusting. My items while in your unit was there for 3 years, I had stuff covered in mouse / rodent droppings and everything will now have to be disinfected.

Made a reservation for a storage unit but was told, when I arrived, that the size was not available. I was offered a smaller sIze of unit. Apparently this is common. This is not the correct use of the word "reservation" and meant I could have ended up in a situation where I had nowhere to put my things. Had an issue where I called to see when I could access my unit (was told until 10pm) but turns out it was only until 8pm. I couldn't get in. If I had had a flight or something the next day it could have been bad, but luckily I could come back the next day. Manager was kind to offer me credit for the inconvenience (although I have not seen it yet).

When it was time to vacate i had forgotten my key. The general manager said he couldn't cut the lock that I had to find a licensed locksmith and that person had to show proof of insurance. That's all well and good for Uhaul to protect from liability, but its a bloody nuisance for the customer. I drove almost 70 miles from NJ and had to wait for an 1 1/2 before I could locate one with the requisite documentation. Why is this my problem . Partner up with your local licensed locksmith or hire them per-deim . I'm sure many customers forget their key or lose it so it was anticipated but not adequately handled. I left U haul really frustrated.

After an apartment fire in central Philadelphia, we had an emergency need for a large locker, and a truck to move furniture and belongings into storage. This UHaul location made the job (relatively) easy, and when we were ready to move everything out, to a new place the staff were friendly and efficient. Understand this is a center-city facility; a repurposed early 20th century factory building. It's not a purpose-built modern building. But the storage area is properly climate controlled, and well-lit in the storage area. The freight elevators are slow, but large and easily accessible. There are adequate carts for moving goods between trucks and lockers. Doors and elevators require either access codes or magnetic cards (user's choice), so security is pretty strong. This UHaul location has my strong endorsement.

A mistake from the truck pick-up location in St. Louis, I was dispatched to the wrong location in Philly: with the storage unit at one place and truck drop off at another. After a stressful move, 3 days of driving, during a global pandemic, losing time driving to the wrong location in a city I didn't know, and then showing up without the storage reservation with only 2 hours to unload by myself, I nearly broke down in the lobby once I realized the dispatch mistake. Tears were welling. Precious was behind the counter watching all this happen. She immediately stepped in, asked if I needed water, got me a unit and assured me everything would be okay. Without a doubt, Precious was the person I needed in that moment in time. Beyond stellar customer service, she showed me how Philly gets it done. Precious is a leading person in the story I tell people about this move. And everyone is grateful she was there to help me out, as am I. [Precious, if you're reading this, ]

The billing was easy and was notified of each payment. We found out when we went to remove our belongings, the storage unit I paid for was not the storage unit the items were in. A lock was added to our unit stating we owed for several months. The lady who assisted us told us she needed to find her phone and then she would remove the lock added to the wrong unit. It was very frustrating we were not treated as a valued customer. We had to get another employee to help us since the previous person was too busy finding her phone. She also deactivated our key so we couldn't get in the elevator until another employee noticed we needed help and assisted us. We also heard her yelling with the customer before us. It was very uncomfortable and I felt bad for the customer.

Sometimes, after the office hours, alarms would go off on the upper floors. It would be unbearable and there'd be no way to shut them off. Other than that it was a good storage facility.

The only Reason that I do not give an excellent Rating is that I had to go back to the facility the next day to close my contract. By that time they already charged me an extra month. The people in store solved it with no hesitance, but I had to go back to the store. I was lucky I decided to stay in Philadelphia for an extra day. If not, I could have not done the reclamation.
