We used this storage facility for about two years. We moved units a couple times as our needs changed and we were very happy with the service. Always friendly and helpful.

My experience was very pleasant, from renting a truck to that of a storage facility. I needed to change reservations which was handled very quickly as the staff was very accommodating. The process of checking out and ending the contract was also very quick and easy.

Everything was great the stalls were clean the hallways were clean everything was nice when I walked into it into the building when I went to the back of the storage lockers everything was clean nice the only thing I did notice it was a very high pitch noise in the back there it would come on a couple times very high pitch like you have to cover your ears because it was so high pitch but otherwise everything went perfect.

My only criticism is the inaccuracies of the computer system. Wrong credit card informatio stored caused me to have to return the following day. Correct card displayed on mobile app but not in corporate system.

I cannot begin to express how grateful I was to have landed at this location. The entire staff was incredible. They helped a first time renter feel comfortable and went above and beyond to help me when some details were not clear. After two emails and 36+ hours stating my concerns, I have had no reply - which is quite disappointing. The unit did not have a lock waiting for us as had been clearly promised on the website, and the huge rat trap inside the unit is unacceptable. I have asked for a different unit - no response. What is promised is not delivered.

With a 10 foot truck and towing trailer, I booked a a 10 x 10' storage space in Bolingbrook Illinois. After payment, it showed that they made the reservation in a different city and a smaller unit. The first representative said she could not cancel the incorrect Location contract. She told me to go ahead and book the correct location of Bolingbrook Illinois and that I would have to drive to the other city to make the cancellation. Later I attempted to speak to a second representative. This representative stated that she would be able to send a message to the incorrect location to have them cancel the contract of the wrong location. After I booked and paid for the contract for bowlingbrook, I received an email stating that my Bolingbrook contract was canceled. I had to call a third customer service representative and tell them to cancel once again the incorrect location. She was able to cancel the contract for me. By that time I decided to no longer do business with U-Haul storage. I found another company that was half the price and easier to manage making reservations with.

The manager Kashish is one of the nicest and most professional persons, I've dealt with in years. A true asset to your company. He treats people like a long time friend or family. Great guy, great place!!

Mike was super fantastic but didn't have nearly enough help. I was there at a super busy time on a Sunday morning and he was running around trying to help as many people as possible. I waited 25 minutes, and there were SIX people behind me when I left. He needed at least one more person.

The only reason I gave a 4 star, is because they need more help there. Other than that they are Excellent. I have been using them a lot lately, and never had any issues, other than they need more staff. The gentleman, that helped me was very polite and helpful. His rating was 5 ⭐️'S from me. I don't recall his name, but thank you to him. Also, when calling, the person I spoke with on the phone was also excellent. Very knowledgeable and helpful. They were unable to provide me with the truck, but helped me get one at the next closest location. Very pleasant to speak with. To Uhaul, just add some help and you would have 5⭐️'S from me.

If I had my own storage unit business, I would definitely hire U-Haul's staff. The entire process was simple and uneventful. I received the correct guidance from U-Haul's staff regarding the most convenient storage units for my particular needs. I definitely will be a recurring customer. Thank you Mike!

While my belongings were stored here, the door collapsed inward off the track. They called me to come unlock it so they could repair the door. I wasn't able to come for several days and when I did arrive, they worked to fix it immediately. It took some time but it got resolved. Merci.

Approx 2-2,5 weeks prior to my move i RESERVED 2 10x10 storage units at the Plainfield facility, I filled out paperwork and was given some instruction on what to expect. The young man at the counter told me not to come back until the day of my move so my free month would start on that day. June 22 came and the movers and I worked all morning. I got in my car followed by the moving truck. When we got to the facility i was told they did not have my original 2 reservations, only the one I made the day or two prior thinking I needed more space, I was horrified since I had to be out of my house and close on my sale by 6/28. My entire house was in this truck. The movers moved ALL my things into one unit since it was climate controlled. Meanwhile the manager said there was nothing he could do about this situation. He gave me an outiside unit, which I accepted since I had no choice. I will never recommend this facility again. Why take reservations (they had just given mine away) if you aren't going to honor them. I did everything they asked, Moving is stressful enough without this facing you at the end, I did call the national U-Haul office and spoke to Laura in customer service. She was friendly and helpful. She was sending a notice about my complaint to the manager of the Plainfield facility (which I said would do no good since he allready told me there was nothing he could do) and to someone at the U-Haul National offices. Here I was at 73 years old, moving all my things and trusting U-Haul to take care of them, and U-Haul couldn't even keep track of my reservation, let alone honor them. I will now have to hire the movers again to move half of my things out of this unit and into another one that is also climate controlled. I am on social security and this move was very expensive, let alone paying the movers twice. All in all I was handled poorly and am not happy about it. My number: 630-881-2840

I made a reservation for an RV space but when I got to the facility I was told I did not have a spot. Michael was very helpful and figured out a solution, but please fix your online reservation system so you don't have panicked customers and Michael doesn't have to figure out how to fix these types of situations. I'd love to say I'd recommend, but can't given someone may think they have a space when they don't. I would recommend Michael - he was super helpful.

Signed up for storage rental online. Was given a code to enter the area, but when we arrived onsite, was immediately told they don't use codes and that we'd have to get an access card. The employee went through the process of getting us the card, but then gave us a free month's rent. Worked out in the end and we were able to get access that we needed

The snow was was piled in front of the unit, making access difficult. The smooth floor of the unit was then quite slippery. On 2 trips to the facility, the driveway was blocked with trucks. I had to park the car, swipe the access card, then get back in vehicle and drive around. The process was repeated to leave. Very inconvenient.

When moving out of the storage we asked if we could bring in a container and movers. We were told we could. We paid to have a container brought in and we paid in advance for movers. On the day of the move the manager recinded the approval and we lost about $300.00. We had to move out of the storage in our cars which took 2 days. This was concerning because we had seen other people have that privilege. The lost of time and money is unfair.

My vehicle received $6000 in damages while being stored here. The sad part is there is no help from the Uhaul to reimburse the owners. They say it's locked and secure but it's not!

Convenient location, great staff, and well maintained facility. Improvement opportunities would include either paving the outdoor storage area, or at least filling potholes in the gravel. Minor detail though in the big picture. We will use it again next year for our boat storage.

i made reservation of 2 units of 10*15 a week ago before august 23, then my husband called 800 to add 1 more unit of 10*10 on top of confirmed preior reservation. however on august 23 4:30pm when i called Plainfield office to triple confirmed the reservation i was told they LOST one 10*15! And it was so close to five clock there is no way to reach out other available facility. on our moving day, it ended up multi small units to make up the size we need and one is not climate controled. i am worried the extra hours we work on the loading/unloading and the safety of my household stored.

The employee that help me said may 30 I would have to come back to pay rent. When I went in to pay the employee no longer worked there and the New employee said I had late fees and that the old employee had told me wrong information about the first payment and they over 200 dollars more than original payment

Plus cleaned storage out said he would pro rate my charges to give me something back then the assistant manager said that was never said!
