I tried to use the Uhaul website to drop off after hours. I was actually trying to drop it off early Sunday morning at 7 AM although the drop off location did not open until 9 AM. I went through the process and was only able to get two steps to where I took pictures of the condition of my rental as it was returned. The website would not let me continue. I had to wait about 90 minutes for someone to show up. Fortunately, there were some employees that showed up early for work and allowed me to check it in so that I could leave. That was nice because I still had a 7 hour drive ahead of me that day. I was very frustrated that I could not drop off after hours and use the website. I was happy and satisfied with the drop off location as they did go out of their way to help me.

The online check in process is slow and did not cut down on our wait time at the pick up location. Otherwise, the truck was clean and worked well for our move!

The costumer service was well below average. There were 8 people in line with 1 clerk. I stood in line for more than 1 hour. After standing in line for nearly 30 minutes another employee entered the building to help. This employee was very unprofessional!

Staff was great and process super easy. We originally reserved a cargo van at another location, but when it didn't have one, they got us one at this new close-by location, so no problem. In fact, Xavier at Main Street location (in KC) called us the day before to make sure we knew and sent us a text and second email to make sure we had the information we needed. He was very helpful and pleasant. Overall, we had a great experience.

Work on the online check out. When checking out my trailer, the site would not send me a verification code until 20min after requesting. Once that issue resolved, it would not let me proceed with saying the trailer was clean(it was) and I could not return the trailer without paying an additional $15 cleaning fee. This is not on the store location, they were very helpful in getting me what I needed! U-Haul corporate needs to fine tune their site and get these issues resolved so future customers do not get charged more for bogus cleaning fees.

Unit was filthy on outside and scratches all over it from limbs and street signs Armor all sprayed all over windshield when dash was cleaned making it difficult to see out. No dash lights so difficult to see gauges. Headlights were out of adjustment and cabin noise was so bad you couldn't carry on a conversation in a normal voice.

Fire the manager immediately. When mistakes were made on his locations end on when I was to bring my rental back after I had an email from corporate stating it was the next day , he was rude , condescending, and generally unhelpful. If this is the way that I was treated with my only experience with him , then clearly I am not the only one. His staff isn't much better. I asked for an apology and was blown off. If this is the kind of management that Uhaul promotes then it doesn't speak well for Uhaul. I will not rent from this location again and I will also be shopping other rental companies because of this incident. I was not in the wrong and was treated poorly and still haven't received an apology. It is too late at this point.

The woman who helped was obviously sick which was minor lay concerning )no mask). Also, she couldn't find my my St Louis drop off location in the system so she put nothing (or a different location - I don't remember) and said it didn't matter - just drop it where I want. That did cause an issue when I wanted to leave it where I'd intended. The women there worked it out, though - after saying I couldn't at first. I did everything I could to provide all the appropriate information ahead of time to avoid such issues.

Overall, had no parking spots for those who rented trucks. Truck was dirty when got it, when turned in truck nobody was out at the bay to accept it, when i went inside to turn the key in the manager acted inconvenienced, but i had places to be and couldn't wait around forever.

So I expressed how do you return the truck after hours .. she like go to some website.. so due to brain fog. I forgot good thing I have the haul app but hell .. we had and issue .. needless to say my experience was not great.. we had to go get our own truck and it was blocked in .. and it was cold as hell .. so I had to find some to move the front and no we could not back up and hit the dumpster behind us. So it left me thinking why.. and to put the icing on the cake the so call customer she was supposed to be helping was going to put item away and than he was coming back. So we're done .

The manager of the facility was very rude. She act like she didn't even want to acknowledge me when i first came in. She just looked up and starred at me. I had to speak first. The only issues I've had with U-Haul was trying to get a hold of them from 8:00 in the morning to finally I had to go downtown Kansas City to the office customer service was terrible I had the whole 30 minutes to even get the phone answered and I will switch to no one answered the customer service it was terrible

95 % of the time we came to load or unload there were people doing nothing in the bay. Often had to go out to the street because they refused to move even though they were not loading or unloading. Could be a little sketchy from time to time but I suppose that's downtown for you. Biggest complaint is that it was difficult to actually pull up to the loading bay due to other people parked there for no reason.

Staff was fantastic helping to free up the loading dock so we could have a chance to unpack the uhaul. Access hours could be better or more clearly articulated. We drove 6 hours from Iowa with the truck and only had less than an hour to unpack by the time we arrived. We knew the office would close but not that we would lose access to our storage locker With a moving truck of our size, I wish we didn't have to move it all up to the third floor for storage. The space was sufficient but required dozens of trips up the freight elevator. Again, something I wish I would have known prior to arrival but, after successfully navigating the truck through downtown KC, I didn't want to transport my cargo to a different storage facility. I can't speak highly enough about the staff. From allowing us to stage the truck at the facility during the day so that we could take care of the business portion of the trip, to helping to move and park the truck...can't speak highly enough about the staff you had working there today 13 May (day shift)

Something did chew on the edges of my expensive butterfly table. But the staff at that location created a raving fan. Always helpful and willing to please. Manager and staff polite and professional. I am a military personnel and have orders to transfer to California in December. I have had the unit since August. On 11/18 the military set up a moving company to get all of my things, when I opened the door to my unit I surprised to find there was water damage! Pools of water was on top of my bins, some of my boxes collapsed do to the water. By this time the unit was basically drying out and creating black mold. My head board is cotton and was also ruined. The moving company had to be rescheduled so I could go through everything and repack/throw away ruined items. I was never notified by phone call or email about the incident. The manager ensured me someone was supposed to call all the renters to come check their unit . I was also informed that a sprinkler system pipe burst and they had to get all the piping redone on the 6th floor. This process was highly stressful and very inconvenient for me. The manager that day however was very helpful and gave me everything complimentary to repack my items and even moved me down to another storage unit that did not have damage so my items could be picked up on 11/19.

In the middle of clearing out my storage unit on Monday, the elevators stopped working which made it impossible to move my couch and a few other large items. After waiting to see when the problem would be resolved, I decided to continue my move, leaving the couch in the storage unit to be retrieved when the elevators were working once again. The broken elevator issue created significant delays for my move which resulted in moving expenses that were much higher than I budgeted for. The moving company I hired is paid by the hour and distance driven, so having to wait to figure out what was happening with the elevator and then having to return to the storage unit hours later added a significant amount of time that I would not have had to pay for had the elevator been working properly.

The only bad thing I came across is the elevator does not go up completely to the 6th floor. It leaves about 8 to 10 inches below the level ground of the floor so had a little hard time.

I was ok with my storage what bothered me was the broken gates and elevator. It was an ok experience not great but ok. I would try a different storage facility if I needed one again just to see what a different storage has to offer in regards to service and cleanliness.

A couple of times the elevator didn't work. The credit card reader wouldn't take my card. I came one day to put some items in my storage both of the elevators were broken no one seem to care.

The only problem, I have is that I left my storage 1/2 way through the month and was told I was getting a refund. But when I dropped my key at the store, and she said she knew nothing about it. I needed to get with the manager.

From the beginning to the end of using U-haul Storage, I never had a problem. My only complaint is that once you check out, you should get a refund from the time remaining on your contract.
