Terrible service. I never use U-BOX service again and recommend not to use this service to someone. The delivery day of my containers was changed arbitrarily although it is said this service guarantees it in the website. In order to talk it with the sales representative, it takes a huge time until connecting the phone and they cannot solve the problem. The worst thing is that the operation manager does not try to contact me to talk to me about reimburse even though the chat operator said the manager will call me when the packages were delivered. Anyway, the impression is terrible after I use this service. Everyone sometimes makes mistakes. If they deal with that kind of trouble properly, I don't care it so much. But they never tried to solve the trouble actively, they flee from it until now. And NOW, the problem still does not end. If you who read this review, try to improve U-Haul service, please look back my transaction. There should be a lot of suggestions.And you have to refund and I wish U-Haul to be a good company.

I do not plan to use Uhaul again after our moving experience. From the pickup at 10am, our reservation was NOT honored and we were sent to another facility for pickup. This left us an hour and a half behind schedule for our busy moving day. We were told conflicting things by various representatives about our return time and spent over 30 minutes on the phone with customer service which was stressful and took up even more time. When we went to return the van there was even more issues and we were almost charged for 100 miles when we drove less than 10. Took them multiple tries to even pull up the correct reservation. Incredibly disappointing service. I'll be seeking out a different company for my next move.

I rent a UHAUL Motorcycle Trailer an average of 6 times a year. The current staff at the Rainier Ave Seattle location are exceptional - Great team of guys who are good people and great service. The older gentleman w/glasses who runs the show is solid. Great service, great trailer, great price

Joshua works there and he was rude and inconsiderate. The woman who works there lied to me, and no one knew what time they closed. Hence, the extra day I was charged for my truck rental which I was only supposed to have till 11:00p that night. Joshua was obnoxious and when I went to get the key to my storage and after he was rude, he winked at me!! I live pay check to pay check. I complained to Uhaul and Brett called me at work. I returned his call but he has never called me back, I called three times!!

I waited more than one hour to pick up my key and there were only six people ahead of me. I also got double charged. I returned the vehicle during the working hour and handed the over to an agent. But my return time was marked as the next day and it just ‘made’ a 25 hour duration. It was terrible experience.

After waiting in line for over an hour past my reservation time, I was informed that vehicle reservations were overbooked by over 70 as an explanation for why I could not be given a van that day, despite making a reservation several days in advance. The manager himself was completely unapologetic, and I only obtained a vehicle after advocating for myself for several minutes.

Two large issues, the location was struggling to handle the amount of customers, some were back after the line was out the door at 8 am. Also, I attempted to quick check in first on my phone, but your site kept reloading the same page. Others reported similar problems. You need to fix it, also think about check in Kiosk at the locations. One positive note, there was a female manager working who really took charge. She not only personally tackled the long line, but was still polite and engaging with the customers. At the same time she was balancing the managing of the employees. A real rock start that one.

Sandy was nice, but waited in line for over an hour to pick up a truck that was filthy and not a drop of fuel in it. I first reserved a truck in mid May for the Kent location only to get a call 2 days before pick up that there was no truck for us. They were glad to send me on a fifty mile round trip and charge me for that mileage though. I was told I would get a credit ,which never materialized, for my trouble. This is far and above the worst customer service I have experienced in several years. I will not only not recommend U Haul to anyone I will also gladly tell my story to anyone looking to rent a vehicle.

The uhual I was given had a broken parking brake release and my truck got stuck, blocking in several cars in a one lane road. What should have been a one hour move was four hours. I was on hold for over an hour when I called for help, and then waited another 90 minutes for someone to arrive. As a result, I had to unload the truck and get a favor from a friend to carry the load. So I never even used the truck for its purpose. This is a truck that never should have been rented to me because of the broken parking brake release, which the mechanic who came out stated as well. When I called for a refund, I was told a manager would call me back, but no one did.

When a customer shows up with a reservation in hand actually have everything they need. I had a trailer reserved for 5:15. When i showed up to get it there was no connection wires available. the staff was extremely unhelpful. the lady behind the counter said "sorry we dont have a connector, theres nothing we can do" then just left for the day without offering me any help or solutions. The other employees refused to take any responsibility and i was left sitting in the lot for 45 minutes while they kept assuring me they were doing something (they werent). I eventually got fed up waiting after 45 minutes and wandered into the shop to try to find someone in charge, whereupon i immediately spotted the connector cable i needed. I informed the staff and was FINALLY able to pay and get my damn reservation. 1 hour and 15 minutes after I had reserved it for. Overall, your staff is incompetent, rude, uncaring, lazy and seem to generally not give a shit about your customers. Basically i just wanted to let you know that I will be renting from budget or penske in the future and will encourage my business and assosiates to do likewise.

The employees are GREAT but we had an hour + long wait due to systems issues. The employees had to make adjustments too virtually every reservation. The truck we rented had an issue with the ignition, which again, awesome employee fixed, sorry I didn’t get her name. The pick up process is not working at this location, the employees are working 2x’s harder than they need to. I would recommend location because the people working there are empathetic and creative.

Get the truck and keys ready when the customer arrives . We had to wait around 15 mins so that they find the key for our truck and they couldn’t so , they ended up changing our truck . Online reservation is pointless if this happens .

I showed up early for my pick up as I realized this location opened at 7:00 AM, stood in the lobby for 10 minutes while the manager was giving an employee a tongue lashing for everyone to hear, I poked my head in and was promptly told he knew I was out there. After a few more minutes he came out and told me I could not have my trailer until 9:00 AM as that is what my reservation said. When I asked if the trailer was there and any way he could help me out, he was rude and said no he had work to do.....thought I was part of that work. He was clearly having a bad day and after I sat in his lobby reading a paper for an hour he did help me out....damage was done by then and I would never ever recommend this location....brutal customer service and who reprimands an employee in front of customers

There were only two employees that were processing paperwork and moving trailers, vans and trucks. The office is a dump - I’m surprised no one didn’t trip over something and hurt themselves. Lines form around the boxes and support columns. The computers and sales reps should be moved to the north wall and all the display stuff moved to the far west wall to simplify entry and the ‘junk’. I’m only saying I’d recommend it due to location.

The truck was clean, however the front drivers side wheel bounces terribly. Seems like a leaf spring issue, so i'm sure you've had a gajillion complaints. Id replace that before it gets someone in trouble. I could not imagine what would happen if someone rented this for a long distance drive.

I did everything online and even did the express check in and the guy at the desk had no idea what was going on. When he went to take a photo of my drivers license I asked Why are you taking a photo of my license with your phone? I already did all this on line. Why did I waste my time if I have to do it again now... Then after he printed everything out and I signed there were no keys. so he switched me to another van and yep, no keys. I said the third time maybe look to see if you have keys first? Thank goodness someone else came and helped me as I was switched to this location from interbay. I only move a few things and am really moving next Friday but if I have to go to this location, I use someone else...

Additional staff should be on duty at this location. Front desk should have two - three personnel to handle customer service during busy times. Computer system is slow. Repeat customers should have thier information on file to speed up check-out of rental equipment. My credit card information was not on file even though it was entired into the computer system. This caused a delay processing my contract.

Over 30 minute wait to rent equipment. Worst part was the check out. Inexperienced staff willing to help. I presented a credit that I had previously received for selling back boxes and the employees couldn't figure out how to apply it. Instead, they processed my credit card for the full amount and told me I had to dispute the charges if I wanted my credit applied.

We were never able to contact the location directly. We had tried scheduling a delivery of our U-Boxes (a basic service offered by U-Haul) over a 5-day period. We were repeatedly told that we had to work with the location directly to schedule this, but every time we called their direct number it took us straight to the national call center and, after being on hold for 30 minutes each time, when we finally talked to a representative we were told they could not schedule the delivery for us. The national customer reps we did talk to said they had sent messages to the location to contact us regarding scheduling a delivery, and we never heard from them. When I talked to a national customer rep on the 4th day of calling about this, they told us we were no longer able to schedule a delivery because we had to give them 48 hours notice, even though we had been calling for 4 days already! This sales rep gave us the number for the regional U-Hual office (I'm not sure why it took 4-days of talking to sales reps to finally be given this number as an option). The customer service rep here told us that the Rainier Valley location had messed up our reservation, and this is why previous customer service reps couldn't help us. While he did finally figure this out we were STILL not able to schedule a delivery and were forced to pick up the boxes ourselves - the whole reason we had decided to do the U-Boxes was to avoid this! As if all of this hadn't been bad enough, I had a voicemail from the Rainier Valley office on our pick up day asking for us to confirm we'd be picking up our U-Haul boxes and to call them back - annnnd of course when I called IT TOOK ME TO THE NATIONAL CALL CENTER! So, when we arrived our U-Boxes were not ready and the lady at the desk gave me sass about how she had called to confirm, and had no answer for me when I told her that I don't know how she expects me to call and confirm when it is literally impossible to speak to that location directly. Delivery of the UBoxes is a basic service offered by you guys, it should have been a simple 5 minute process to schedule - not last over 5-days and still NOT be able to schedule it. Until I spoke with the regional customer service rep, I felt that the previous 5 people I had spoken with had been absolutely zero help at all and we were just repeating the same conversation, over and over. Your direct locations should be able to be reached by the customers, or AT LEAST by your other customer service reps. I will not be using U-Haul services again.

The mobile app check in was not working properly so I had to wait in line to pick up the truck, which defeated the point of “no wait check in”, but the staff were all very friendly and made the process as quick as possible.

I reserved an auto transport and went to pick it up at my reserved time. I waited 30mins before I was even helped. This location was severely understaffed. Turns out the auto transport I reserved wasn't available and no one called to let me know so I could change my pick up location. After waiting over an hour for the associate to try to find another one at a different location, I finally got fed up and asked to sub the auto transport for a tow dolly. 2 hours after my reservation time I was finally on the road. Drove for about 5mins and got on the i5 on ramp when one of the tow dolly ramps slid out. Turns out the dolly was broken and the uhaul associate failed to do a proper inspection. I called the uhaul location and no one picked up the phone. I called 2 other uhaul locations nearby and they didn't answer either. I tried calling the uhaul roadside assistance line and they didn't answer. I sat on the side of the i5 on ramp for about 45mins and had to have a friend pick me up. We went back to the uhaul location and explained what happened. The associate there gave me a pin to hold the ramp into place and said there was nothing else he could do and said that a lot of the equipment at that location is broken. What should have been and easy in and out pick up turned into a 4 hour ordeal.

The self-service combination lock that had the key for my truck was tricky. I tried the combination a few times and have to have a UHaul team member assist me. The combo lock seemed worn, could be time for a replacement.

I did not receive furniture pads with the van. Otherwise they were very helpful after the Seattle Vault location left me high and dry after the previous renter did not return the van and Seattle Vault failed to alert me before they closed.

Have more people on staff to assist so we don’t have to wait so long in line or to talk on the phone. Don’t mess up people’s orders and charge them for gas they didn’t use because you mixed up two different trucks for the same reservation. Another customer’s reservation was also messed up while we were waiting to be helped so it seems to be a theme here.

The gas tank in the truck was barely above empty upon retrieval and I was charged a $30 fueling charge as well as gas costs, even though we attempted to get it back to the low level at which we found it. When the tank is not full, it’s difficult to gauge where the refueling should be. It feels very unfair to be charged for this.
