Kevin MontgomeryMy fiance made my reservation as he is an assistant manager at the U haul in Augusta, Georgia. When the store called to remind me of my appointment for Saturday, I asked to move my appointment to 4 from 1 pm, and the associate was able to help me with this. When picking up the truck, the associates sat the whole time. After being greeted, we proceeded with the rental, were given the keys, and were told approximately where the truck was. It had snowed in Ohio the day before, and the truck still had snow on the windshield. The truck did not have windshield wiper fluid, which could have been a hazard as the windshield was dirty from the snow. Every time the truck was started, it prompted the truck to need an oil change, and my mom and I felt the truck drove rough and not as smoothly as it could have been. The lock on the back of the truck would not unlock, and I left my couch in the truck overnight and luckily, it was not stolen. I told the associate ( her tag said owner), and her response was "ok." She not once apologized for the lack of the truck or my experience. This was probably my worst U-Haul experience.

So the lady in charge gave me a different van to use she was really nice and helpful. She did apologize for the wait cause most of her staff called off work so working and running the store and her attitude was great and took care of us customers that were waiting for a truck or van. I would come back again when needed.

JIM COCHRANWhen truck was reserved online it said available and also 0,59 cents per mile. Upon arrival the truck i reserved was not available and the charge was 0,79 cents per mile. Not a great way to get in a business with false advertising. I won't be back.

Leslie DeckerThe ramp on the rental truck appeared to be covered with rock salt which was initially appreciated. But we later noticed that about half of the crystals on the ramp were quarter inch glass fragments from something damaged in handling. We swept up the glass fragments and disposed them into a nearby dumpster to prevent our tracking them into our apartment building. Please add ramp inspection to your checklist.

James GoldsberryReserved the trailer online with no issues. Experienced a bit of wintry weather on morning of pickup. U-Haul called me to verify if I still wanted to pick up the trailer given the weather, which was a nice customer service touch. I did go ahead with the rental, and payment/pickup was quick and smooth. Had no difficulties using the trailer. Dropoff was quick and easy. I referred the location to a friend planning a local move. $40 for an enclosed trailer for a 1-day move in wet, wintry weather was well worth the cost.
Brian DukeKids working the front desk were way to immature. Terrible attitudes , bickering back and forth. Uncomfortable experience. I know times are tough but these two have no business being in charge. I hate to day this but it's the way it is.
Jim McgheeInside was dirty and so was the windows. No ramp on the back to help load and only 1/4 of gas to start off. When dropped off and tried to explain about all this, I got nothing back except ok. Was not worth the 100 bucks I had to pay on top of the gas I had to put in before and after use.

Michael BuschurThe crew at this location was amazing and very helpful. If you are in the area and have to do business with Uhaul I would choose this location the staff is great. My only warning is with the company Uhaul pay very close attention to your quote and reservation. Uhaul is a crook. They quoted me $130 one way move which was a 2 day rental then when I made the reservation and picked it up it was for 1day and only included the bare min of miles not even the actual mileage from town to town. I ended up paying almost $300 on a $130 quote... They quote you the lowest and then tack on all kinds of fees when you drop off. Shame on you Uhaul for taking advantage of people when they are already in a stressful situation like relocating their family. Never again will I use Uhaul

When I came back to pick up my stuff in my unit after 2yrs, there was rat poop everywhere on my stuff. This a indoor climate controlled facility with a rat problem. Lastly there is a window completely broken and pieces everywhere. It is covered up by cardboard. The glass was never picked up. I am completely surprised how this store runs a business. Never recommending to anyone.

Then, it took me driving their after two weeks of moving out of my units to close my accounts so I wouldn't get charged for another month.

We were annoyed at the immediate almost unstable $5 increase to 64.99. When the rate eventually increased to 79,99 for a 5x10x10 we were very dissatisfied. we were told the increase was not to keep people like us out, but to keep the riff faff out.

We were "yelled" at since it was already after 6 pm and we had not done "all the paperwork" yet. The store was open until 7. We had reserved the unit for Thursday, July 2. Since the unit had also "not been cleaned," we agreed to come back on Friday July 3. When we arrived the next morning, the unit had STILL not been swept and mopped. So the unit was WET when it was turned over to us. Cardboard and wet floors do not make a good mix. Our time was wasted waiting for the unit to be cleaned and the floor to dry so we could place our boxes in the unit. The unit should have been cleaned in a timely manner, maybe Wednesday? Thursday morning?

If I don't use an entire month I shouldn't be charged for it. I'll never use UHaul for anything else ever again. You Lost a customer for life. I also will not recommend you to anyone.
