Literally everything. Nothing went right from the ordering to the picking up. Got there at 11:30 to pick up and literally didnt get out of there until 3pm. It has been such a disaster of an experience. I called U-Haul 8x today. 8! And not one person wanted to help. I would be SHOCKED if anyone were to reach out to me to follow up about my experience bc it was beyond clear that the staff just didn't want to help. They kept transferring me to new people after saying “hold for one second while I look into this…” This happened MULTIPLE times. By the 8th person I was in tears.

Have a dedicated wheelchair ramp to the storage units. As of now, there is one very steep incline that also is used by vehicles parking inside of the building. That's not very safe at all.

Rental was reserved, but upon my arrival was given away. I was then told no trials were available. But then mysteriously a more expensive truck appeared. My original return time was suppose to be for 11am the next day but they put it in the system at 11pm that same night. I will never use u haul again, and I have been a customer for years!

The people I dealt with in Illinois were kind and helpful unlike when we went to return the truck. The woman we spoke with in Philadelphia seemed more interested in her phone than helping us return the truck. "It's really very easy. It's all in the app." is not helpful when you have just moved halfway across the country and haven't slept more than a couple of hours in four days.

Alicia Hicks deserves a RAISE!!! I have used UHaul for all of my moves in Philadelphia and this was by far the absolute best experience. She was so friendly, kind, helpful, and patient. I had to grab her business card after I dropped off the Uhaul and she was gone, hoping I would be asked to write a survey because this company needs to know she should be leading training sessions and setting the standard. 11/10 would recommend!

This was the absolute WORST customer service I have received in my LIFE. From the time that the Ubox was supposed to arrive (almost 4 hours late) to the time that it was picked up (close to 2 DAYS late). No one on the 1-800 number was able to give me any information about if the driver was on his way, correct information on how to handle the situation. Due to the box being late being picked up, my landlord told me that I would possibly be fined for the garbage removal trucks being unable to come in and remove the trash and other people who were unable to move in because the Ubox was blocking the entry way. The customer service at this location on 8th Oregan was the worst I have ever received and I will never again book with uhaul or recommend it because of this experience.

The worker there was completely uninterested in helping us or actually providing us service. He was rude, argumentative, canceled our contract when we asked why the price was up over $200, and was showing very poor demeanor the entire time. He wasted one entire hour because he was up charging us even though we confirmed pricing and everything with a representative prior to arrival. He changed our schedule 10 minutes before we picked up our equipment. I'm a physician and if I spoke to my patients the way he spoke to us, I'm pretty sure I would lose my license or be suspended.

Alisha, the store manager, is incredible! My roommate and I moved 3 days in a row so we worked with a lot of staff and Alisa. Her staff respect and love her so much. She is so helpful to customers and clearly invests a lot of energy into encouraging her staff and creating a good working environment. We will definitely be renting from this location again

To add insult to injury, when I got to my storage location they did not have my reserved storage space. Something about having so many break-ins, they were not offering drive up storage, anymore. So I had to scramble to find another space and had to pay $558, instead of my free month of storage. Now I'm over $700 in the whole and Bennington wants another $500+ for extra days and some gas. Ridiculous!!!!!

Staff is very pleasant and helpful upon check-in. There was a issue with the drivers cab leaking from the rain. My portable chargers, garmin device, and paper work on the storage area under the radio was compromised. Very disappointed when returning the vehicle as the gentleman behind the counter didn't seem to care. I am requesting someone to contact me about this situation.

I paid for a TV box with my UBox rental but it was not delivered with the UBox. I requested it again when the UBox was redelivered from storage, and a third time when the empty UBox was picked up, and never received it.

They gave us a truck that had battery issues . They were rude , complained About us arriving late even though the location doesn't close til 7. Also requested for us to not return the location . We have been to uhaul locations from Philly to New York , to New Jersey , to NY . For our work we constantly use uhauls service . Only this location treated us this way . Horrendous service .

I did online check-in and assumed I could have moved in immediately. However, upon my arrival, the storage unit was locked with a padlock so I had to look for staff at the front desk to help me unlock the lock, which was quite inconvenient because if I went after office hour there wouldn't be anyone to assist me. The staff was helpful and timely anyway so I was able to complete my move-in without further hiccups.

This location was really great for what I needed. The only issue I had the entire time was my initial reservation was cancelled when I was late rather than asking if I was still coming. Additionally - when I needed to extend my reservation, I was directed online but there was no clear way to do so online so I had to call.

I've been a customer of U-Haul vehicle and storage locations for many years In Philadelphia and other areas. The Riverview location on Oregon Avenue is, without a doubt, the best U-Haul location I've done business with. Gabrielle was phenomenal when checking me into my storage unit, and my van rental experience was quick and efficient. I've already recommended this location to friends and family.

Overall, the staff and management have proved top-notch, visit upon visit. Most specific comments of items needing attention are those primarily involving fellow customers and the need for professional services, beyond the staff. Cart availability was an issue. There were numerous times when upon arrival for a segment of my move(s) - there were no carts to use [three storage units filled and vacated within two month period, over numerous segments]. When a truck is rented and a crew is hired and on hand, that complicates and increases the cost and stress of moving significantly. Solution may include more carts (with tracking chip???), especially given the number of units housed at this location; and, reinforcement of the cart honor system through signage at each floor's elevators to take only carts actively in use use (no storage between trips), return carts to cart parking upon each storage departure (not abandoned on unit floor), and programmed panel reminders with each card swipe (check-in, each elevator swipe, check-out). #1 - Storage facility well-lit: All well-lit though designers/architects/electricians would have done well to include some motion-censored level of lighting per unit. #5 - Facility clean and well maintained: Plumber needed for bathroom toilets. Always clogged. Too low flow for 'public' use. 5th FLR, where my units were, has concrete deterioration in patches along the walkway making for sections of gravel path which the carts are hard to roll over. Best to staff and manager - they're great!

Lock that was purchased online wasn't available in this store or anywhere nearby. Drive in door to facility was out of service. Carts provided aren't big enough to transport furniture on. Staff was not helpful whatsoever and took 45 min to check in while I was the only customer there.

There was one person working and he was working very hard He is very kind and accommodating and knowledgeable But he can't be everywhere at one time. People waited in line for a long time home I am because the computers were down it took us, over an hour and 20 minutes, to get an elevator to open and take us upstairs to our storage space. The card didn't work and the pin didn't work and the second pin we were given didn't work. And we called from the elevator but the one employee was very Busy and could not answer, so we waited at home while we waited and waited and we waited. I'm a little concerned that this will happen every time I get there because it turned what should've been 45 minutes into a 2 1/2 hours

from my experience on 7/31: eric was very courteous on the telephone and behind the desk once i arrived. eric was professional when a keycard initially malfunctioned - he and the lady there (i forgot her name but her blue uhaul top with the reflecto-tape was drippin'). eric was helpful in showing me where the equipment was, how to operate the keycard, and when he found a unit close to the elevators. 8 e oregon is not my closest uhaul, but i had a feeling it would be the best. tbh the facility exceeded my expectations and eric (along with his co-worker) are fantastic. thank you so much! -alison

A day prior to moving out of my storage unit, I spoke with the location's UHAUL customer representative about an after-hours (post 10:00pm) move ahead of a trip across country. The UHAUL rep assured me that an after-hours move/check-out was possible and, as is standard operating procedure, that the only thing needed to access the facility is my storage keycard. Furthermore, the rep noted that in the event of any issues, UHAUL has a designated after-hours General Manager on duty to assist. Feeling good about the procedures in place, I proceeded with the move, starting the move-out process at 9:40pm. Well, about 1/4 of the way through, as we took the first load downstairs and exited the elevator, access was cut off promptly at 10:00pm - meaning, I could not come back up the elevator to grab the rest of my belongings or at the very least close the wide-open storage unit. To contextualize, I have PAID movers who are carrying my belongings from storage unit to truck outside before heading off for the night to a destination across country. But wait, this should not be problem because according to numerous signs inside the storage building and the customer representative whom I spoke with earlier, there's an "after-hours" manager on call to resolve any issues! Unfortunately that was not the case. After about a dozen phone calls, several texts, and voicemails left to the said after-hours GM, Alicia Hicks, I and the movers had to give up and, quite literally, leave my storage unit open with personal belongings fully exposed. What's worse is that I had to hire additional movers to come in the following day to pick up the rest of my belongings. Again, because this was a trip across country, this fiasco caused by AFTER-HOURS GM refusing to answer her phone cost me over $1000 in costs. Not only unprofessional but absolutely unacceptable. As a side note, when we initially entered the storage unit, alarms were blaring yet no security or UHAUL manager was on site. UHAUL is negligent and absolutely careless - needless to say, I will never rent trucks or storage units at UHAUL again.

I was HUGELY disappointed. I ordered at 10x10x10 room and when I arrived on moving day, instead I received two 10x1x5 units next to each other. I had already paid for movers and was moved out of my apartment so I had no choice given there was no one at the facility to help. I'm so disappointed. I'm looking forward to gathering my things and leaving ASAP.

The facility is pretty clean, The staff is very helpful, only downside i had was that it wasnt open 24/7. The latest they stayed open for me was by 10pm which was disappointing because the rooms arent cheap to rent.

The facility did not have water in the bathrooms. The toilet did not flush. The bathrooms were filthy. The vehicle was filthy and smelled horribly of cheap cleansing product " Fabulouso" which does not disinfect. It took your breath away. When you left the vehicle your clothes smelled like it for hours which you needed a shower right away. Lastly upon returning the vehicle there wasn't anyone in the building to check you out. I waited over 20 minutes for someone to appear.

It said a lock was provided in the unit there was no lock in there. The girl at the front desk was very rude would not use this location again nor recommend to a stranger let alone a friend.

I wish I could remember the name of the woman who helped me at the Oregon Avenue location, because she was so, so helpful and answered all of my questions as a first-time renter of a storage unit. She promptly got me up to my unit, reminded me of all the necessary access information, and was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this location to a friend.

After goin to two different uhauls dealing with very unprofessional staff. It was nice to come to one and be greeted by a friendly face Ms. Regina Hicks went above and beyond to assure that we found the storage unit that I was looking for. Being an elderly person she made sure I was able to get a unit that I did not have to go far for. I really appreciate her patience and professionalism. She is what your other staff should be like.

I maintained a storage unit for 3 1/2 years. I moved out and two days prior to my move my payment was processed. I asked if I would get a pro rata credit for the 28 days I was told no because I received the first month free when I initiated my storage rental. I feel like the first month free was like a bonus for me renting at U-Haul not a disadvantage. I should of gotten a 28 day credit.

I never knew I was not going to get my refund back or else I would’ve kept my garage to the 22nd or 21st of October I’ve never received a free month and which I wouldn’t know what I have to do with it because then you’re charging you at the end if it was a free month but I never got a free month nor do I get a military discount I called that double dipping someone pays for a garage and now you run it out to someone else you got double payment for that one unit I would recommend it to no one or to make sure when you check out you stay until your bill is due next

In general, this location met our storage needs. The location manager, Alicia Hicks, was friendly when I was able to make contact with her, but this was rare. Originally, she extended a monthly discount to us to price match a quote given to us for our size unit by a different Uhaul facility. After a little over a year, that discount was removed by senior mgmt without notification to us. I filed a claim with customer service and Alicia told me that she'd follow-up with senior mgmt to look into whether something could be done. After we (and seemingly Alicia) were given the run-around for almost a month, and after submitting multiple follow-up claims requesting a callback for an update, we eventually decided to take our business elsewhere due to the lack of communication and feeling like it just wasn't worth the hassle. On the day we decided to move out, the garage door at the facility was not working, which prevented us from being able to park close to the elevators and made the move-out process more difficult than it needed to be. Although it seemed like Alicia was doing her best to move the process forward, we would've appreciated better communication from either this location's staff and/or the customer service team that handled the claim intake. Had someone from senior mgmt reached out to us, we would've considered maintaining our storage unit.

Regina was very professional and informed, she helped make the process easy I also brought the wordlock pad lock for the unit I am renting, this pad lock is awlful, I can not open the lock or reset it, I have emailed the company, but I think Uhaul should stop selling this lock.

This unhappy review is for 314-322 N 13th St, Philadelphia, PA. I reserved a unit on May 15 through the website (#808042-00115070). I showed up the day before I planned to move all my stuff into storage and they said there were no units available! That the website was allowing people to make reservations even though they hadn't any available for months? The staff at 13th Street found a unit at 8 E Oregon. Other than that, they were close to useless. Very dismissive, like it's not their problem. Ok, it's not their fault that U-Haul's website is busted, but why did no one call me ahead of time??? Can you imagine showing up with movers and a truck full of stuff, only to find out you have no unit? That's inexcusable.

I would like to say my experience has been wonderful the two young ladies forgive me I can't remember their names were very helpful answer all my questions. And we're very friendly. And I really did feel like they value be as a customer. Every single time I rent a Uhaul it takes half an hour. Every time! Doesn't matter how much I do in advance online to expedite the process. It's absolutely ridiculous. The single person at the front desk (one person for all truck rental and storage needs) was very polite and professional.

While the staff member was very nice and professional, the facility was unacceptable. The gate on the loading dock was broken/unavailable. Also my storage unit has a giant column in the middle which hindered me from fitting everything in my unit. When choosing a storage unit, one expects to receive every square inch.

I been having problems with the desk from day 1 . I get paid different days so for 1 day late they would lock my doors and it will take then 3 hrs of me standing their waiting for someone to unlock my unit , I explain to then and they just act like they didn't care ! But I can't remember the persons name that help me so much i would give him 10 stars ! He understands what happened I just wish everyone was like him !
