The wait time was long and the truck we used had an issue where it wanted to veer to one side but overall it was a very good experience. I ended up getting stuck in a snowstorm and had to keep the truck much longer than expected and the staff was understanding and accommodating.

Everyone I spoke with in person or on the phone was very friendly, professional and willing to assist me, except for one person. I was disappointed with David Chan when I returned my van rental. He was not friendly nor professional in his demeanor. It seemed that he was bothered that he had to assist a customer. I asked Mr. Chan if he would close out my account with the rental van and my UBox rental. He assured me that both transactions were completed. I contacted 800 GO UHAUL after I got home to confirm the closure of my accounts and only the van was closed out. The UBox rental was still an open account. Not good!

Wanted U haul trailer from New Jersey but had to pick it up in Philly they wouldnt delivery it to Jersey even though i spent 400 to take it to Ohio

This survey is incredibly misleading. Just because things arrived safely and I had enough furniture pads doesn't mean things went smooth. I had a terrible time figuring out things like pick-up and dropoff. After hours on the phones, I'd say about 1 in every 4 people I talked to were helpful in figuring out problems that were not my fault, but in fact Uhauls. And even though I booked well in advance, these problems that weren't raised until soon before my move. The computer systems at Uhaul and Ubox need an overhaul. They're clearly not talking to each other well.

I had rented a truck for a couple of days and I had the money to extend and pay for it but they kept saying no we need the keys and we will take out whatever you have in the truck and call the cops, they just did way too much for no reason. I actually had gone to another before and they were great so when I came to this one it was the worst never had I ever seen really bad and rude employees. Never coming to this one again

This location was wonderful. However the u-haul on 24th and oregon was the worst experience ever. They made me pay for the 1st month of my locker rental. Even after other manager's from other locations assured me they would return my money for the first month . it never happened. They also disrespcted my father when he went their to speak on my behalf .

My experience was a joke. I am absolutely horrified by the incompetence I had to deal with by the employees of the Oregon Ave store. They actually lost my container and shipped the wrong box TWICE. Then when they actually found the container they shipped it without a tarp. My belongings got wet and mold formed on my belongings and had to be thrown away. My container arrived 31 days late and Alicia Hicks refuses to issue me a refund despite the fact I have a contract issued by UHAUL that was violated by UHAUL. I will be hiring a lawyer.

What made my experience great was the customer service provided by the woman at the front desk (unfortunately I don't know her name, but please know that the staff here was excellent during my visits)

For the next customer, I would recommend doing as much research as possible for your move. U-Box is great for a local move NOT for long-distance. There is too much hassle between locations and reps that work remotely will quote you the wrong information. As well as that, customer service only works if you tweet them at Uhaulcares vs using the website. I recommend using trucks in the future from Uhaul, and that's about it.

Had to wait indoors for much longer than i wanted to as the key to the vehicle I had rented online was missing. What should have been a quick minimal contact visit Was 30 minutes and it made me very uncomfortable. Woman at desk was awesome and vehicle was clean. Return was a breeze.

I maintained a storage unit for 3 1/2 years. I moved out and two days prior to my move my payment was processed. I asked if I would get a pro rata credit for the 28 days I was told no because I received the first month free when I initiated my storage rental. I feel like the first month free was like a bonus for me renting at U-Haul not a disadvantage. I should of gotten a 28 day credit.

I had several issues throughout the day with the uhaul. I spoke to Cathie T with Uhaul Roadside assistance that insisted I do the late night drop off with Uhaul after hours instead of allowing a tow to come get the truck after the miserable day I had. And this morning I get a call from this UHAUL location that they can not find the keys I dropped off in the drop bin.

For some reason, I owed 45 cents upon dropping off the vehicle. So, I had to stand there in the lot and register a credit card so I could pay this palty sum. Not the fault of the drop-off point but U-Haul in general.

Need to improve online check in because I had trouble checking in online. The rep who assisted explained that I could no longer check in if I missed the “timeframe”. I recommend having a 10-15 min “Window” for online checking in process

I never knew I was not going to get my refund back or else I would’ve kept my garage to the 22nd or 21st of October I’ve never received a free month and which I wouldn’t know what I have to do with it because then you’re charging you at the end if it was a free month but I never got a free month nor do I get a military discount I called that double dipping someone pays for a garage and now you run it out to someone else you got double payment for that one unit I would recommend it to no one or to make sure when you check out you stay until your bill is due next

The online sign in process wasn't as easy or clear cut as expected. It asked for 2 points of contact- when I provided both myself & the driver, it kept saying that wasn't good enough. I had to provide a 3rd point of contact not even affiliated with the move just to access the vehicle. Then, I was told to refresh the page & the next steps would follow. This did not happen. The online chat also took several minutes. It took me close to 20 minutes just to access the vehicle. I was then late for the movers, even though I had given myself plenty of extra time.

I had a very bad experience with renting the trailer I called in and explained what I needed and and measurements but the wrong trailer was given to me and I lost a hole day because of this problem as well as David screwing up the paperwork i told him I need the trailer till 20th 7:15pm he put 7:15am David also gave me a hard time picking up the trailer I was told to pick up the trailer at 6:45 I get there exactly 6:45 and he was on the phone with another customer and I waited patiently for him to get off the phone but that time it was 7:55 and he said I have to come tomorrow because the store is closed. I was treated unfairly and I'm very unhappy because I lost time and money for no reason at all

When we arrived there wasn't a single person in the customer pick up area. We rung bells, shouted, and looked around for about 10-15 minutes or so. I couldn't believe that the employee would leave the registers and vehicle keys unattended like that - not to mention we were stuck waiting for a long time when we had a designated pick up time. When the employee finally turned up, they started to process me but then picked up the phone and spent a good 5 minutes talking to someone else. The service at the Washington Avenue is far better than this. This was pretty dismal.

Our driver was amazing. She was very straightforward and communicated with us the whole time. If there's anything I would improve it's the website and app. They aren't user friendly and don't communicate well with eachother. The UI is confusing and it's hard to make changes for delivery dates. Other than that the service was great.

There was no staff at all, when I returned my truck, and I could not ask any questions to anyone. What U-haul, not this location specifically, should change is the estimate for the Truck sizes, since they are completely wrong. I could not fit my furniture for a 1-bedroom apartment in a 15-foot truck at all and I had to make two trips.

In general, this location met our storage needs. The location manager, Alicia Hicks, was friendly when I was able to make contact with her, but this was rare. Originally, she extended a monthly discount to us to price match a quote given to us for our size unit by a different Uhaul facility. After a little over a year, that discount was removed by senior mgmt without notification to us. I filed a claim with customer service and Alicia told me that she'd follow-up with senior mgmt to look into whether something could be done. After we (and seemingly Alicia) were given the run-around for almost a month, and after submitting multiple follow-up claims requesting a callback for an update, we eventually decided to take our business elsewhere due to the lack of communication and feeling like it just wasn't worth the hassle. On the day we decided to move out, the garage door at the facility was not working, which prevented us from being able to park close to the elevators and made the move-out process more difficult than it needed to be. Although it seemed like Alicia was doing her best to move the process forward, we would've appreciated better communication from either this location's staff and/or the customer service team that handled the claim intake. Had someone from senior mgmt reached out to us, we would've considered maintaining our storage unit.

This unhappy review is for 314-322 N 13th St, Philadelphia, PA. I reserved a unit on May 15 through the website (#808042-00115070). I showed up the day before I planned to move all my stuff into storage and they said there were no units available! That the website was allowing people to make reservations even though they hadn't any available for months? The staff at 13th Street found a unit at 8 E Oregon. Other than that, they were close to useless. Very dismissive, like it's not their problem. Ok, it's not their fault that U-Haul's website is busted, but why did no one call me ahead of time??? Can you imagine showing up with movers and a truck full of stuff, only to find out you have no unit? That's inexcusable.

Kelly the manager is fantastic. UHaul's website is absolutely terrible, so it just took a while to get to her. But the move was a little quirky, and Kelly helped us coordinate for maximum efficiency.

You needed more people in the store to get everyone taken care of it took 45 mins just to do one person then another 30 mins to do an other one is wrong there you have a line waiting an hour or more.

Apparently all 10x10 have giant poles in them, which reduces the space. Floor is not temperature controlled. It's unbearably hot. No stairs - fire hazard

Terrible customer service trying to arrange delivery of Ubox. Transferred to national customer service. Even shipment manager and regional reservation manager were not helpful.

In theory, UBox delivery and storage is a great service. This facility seems disorganized and unconcerned with customer needs. My delivery was inexplicably delayed, and no one was accessible to help.
