Ok so I started out at 2990 location in so Philly; Ms Nia sent me to 8 e Oregon location.. because the computer cancelled me request.. Ms. NIA AND Ms NIAMA did a Fantastic job! Pleasant and Professional and went above and beyond. There were no parking spaces available for me to leave my car until I returned the Van. Ms Niama contacted a supervisor who again, went above and removed her car so that I could park. Great people! Thank You Thank you  To Improve - get the computer system corrected. I put in my request for a Van and I put it in 2 days prior.. Now I had to cancel my first request BUT I put another one in for Sunday-4/7 and apparently something went awry.

I love this location. The staff is friendly, professional and willing to go above and beyond to meet your needs. I've had a storage unit at this location for 5 years now and I rent trucks once a week. I'd highly recommend!

I went when it was raining, I don't think there any drains around the parking lot . It was like I was standing and walking in the river,water was pretty deep feet were soaked.

Staff was so friendly and kind. I expected a bad experience, as this is the exact kind of activity that is often a tremendous hassle. However, the staff were so warm and welcoming and the move in/check in process was seamless.

We had an incredibly frustrating time with the online reservation and it was 10x more difficult than just waiting for the customer service people to help us. Luckily they were wonderful and made it so easy for us. I would not recommend doing the pre registration to anyone, and tell them to wait for the business hours to start the process. Everything else went smoothly and again, the people working at this location really saved the day.

We rented for about 6 months and the facility was always clean, accessible, and safe with no problems. There must have been a staffing change halfway through because these last three months Jordan and his team have been awesome! I found in this facility the extreme help ever, that we couldn't find in others Uhaul in Philly or near by. The manager was extremely open and helpful, the crew was so amazing..I definitely will choose the same facility is need a storage unit. Thanks from the bottom of my heart!!

Be sure to put some type of lubricant on the tow dolly's wheel crank for the straps! I had a very hard time trying to tighten the straps to lock in my tires. I was lucky to have an idea to put some armor all to create some sort of lubricant for the rusty crank!

Didnt realize "office" was in where all the supplies were. We went in and didn't see the office right away so we left. Came back after looking again and saw it was on the left side of all the supplies. It might be a good idea to put an office sign out front.

One day the check-in terminals were down. I tried getting in touch with the manager that evening and never heard back. The terminals were down earlier in the day, and the facility didn't bother keeping someone at the front desk until self-storage hours were over, or even put a sign up letting customers know that they wouldn't be able to access the storage facility after office hours that day. I had rented a trailer to move things into my unit that day, and ended up having to extend the rental. I am out $50 as a result. I have another unit at this facility, but plan to pull my stuff out and move to a facility with better hours and a more responsive staff.

Good morning, what I will say is that the entire experience with the folks that I dealt with was exceptional. However, they in both locations to return to pick up and the return, the single individuals were very, very busy so I would think that you need to look at having enough staff because in the first Location at the pick app weighted approximately half an hour to get serviced because a person had to Go to the Roof and Then it were 3 other customers in front of me Waiting For Her to get back. So yeah, it's a little tough. But the experience with post representatives was good. So thank you very much, have a wonderful day.

Everyone there was great. However UHAUL as a company is price gauging by forcing me as a custumer to guess how many miles I'll put on the truck, and then charging me based on my guess, instead of the actual milage. I hate that policy. I could have save money with a sane milage policy.

From the time I walk through the shiny clean glass doors to the time I exited ,it was friendly knowledgeable and downright return again business exprrience. There was a young woman and a young gentleman at the front desk and they couldn't have been any friendly or more helpful the fact that it was pouring buckets out that day and we unloaded the truck it became easier when the gentleman told us we could it was our vehicle inside the garage or the covered doors so we said a little less wet and more dry the storage unit was a good size held all our things overall it was a great experience and I will keep using you hot in the future other than that give it five stars you know people if it ain't broke don't fix it and don't give up on the good thing see you in the future U-Haul you should be called I hall though cuz I only have crippled from home around my stuff the past 60 years

There was nothing written about the 109$ deposit. Even though I pre checked In . When I got there I was told I had to provide 100 $ collateral for my truck rental. They also said they could not except cash. It was really frustrating. Might use Ryder next time.

Insurance was added at time of reservation but it was never added onto my invoice. Savemove +Safetrip$15+$5 Also adjustment were made online for return time and I had the truck returned according to the requested new available time with was still within the 24hr period but I still got charged for another 2days @ $29,99/day Neither issue was taken care of after receiving the invoice email with the finalized charges&costs. Very upsetting

The only problem that I had was the fact that I hired movers through this company and they canceled and did not refund me my money but five dollars I paid them 240 something dollars and they refunded me five dollars and now I got to see how to get my money back, and I think that that is so unfair because they are the ones who cancel, and they do not deserve to keep the fee And now I have no money to continue with my life lost out on 200 and something dollars because of people being unfair

The facility was fine though we did have problems with the elevator on the move in date. The woman who rented us the unit and closed us out (name might be Chernia but I am not sure) could use some training in treating customers like they are important instead of an inconvenience.

The price we pay for the smallest unit is ridiculous. There is a huge pillar in the middle of this already tiny unit that takes up space then on top of that extreme excessive mold is all in the unit which makes us sick every time we've had to go in the unit. The fact that they would lease a mold infested unit is bad because that's harmful . Then unexplained fees are charged.

It would help immensely if I could access my unit after 9pm. Sometimes that is just as fast as I can get there. Also, I could not get a door open so I gave the key to my partner who was outside and opened the lock. When I told the staff about it the next day they said you had to "hit the door hard". I didn't think that was the best method of opening the door.

What a difference from the horrid unit I was paying 375 a month for in the Bronx. My expensive carpet was literally eaten by moths there without their insurance covering a penny. Everything about my experience on Oregon Ave was A plus.

Overall it got the job done. Lights by my unit did not work which made move-out a little tougher but no big deal. They did however lock my unit and I had to commute from out of state twice to get it resolved because the code was recorded incorrectly. Thought that would have allowed me an extra 11 hours to move my stuff out on the day my bill was due but never received any communication despite voicemails, an email and an office visit. Which left us a bit frustrated. The space is clean and gets the job done but communication is pretty terrible and one elevator always seems to be down.

I had to trader my items to this facility due to two different reasonings.One at the last location one one my units gotten broken into many items of mine were stolen(bose speaker, harmon speaker,pots&pans,alexas,business the list continues.I filed a report with the police and staff.I than transferred my items to the new unit.Prior to me doing that the last unit had Crew members and had water damage to specific units.So a lot of my items were damaged.Nothing was recovered staff gaslite me to believing they were helping me but nothing came from it.Im so happy to finally move my belongings out.I would never use them again.

Was a little lost but I didn't really read directions clearly: it's hard to catch everything when not on a desktop and on the mobile things don't load on the screen as clearly as they would on a desktop browser. There was this very friendly lady in the service area that help with explaining to me which way to go and where to use the codes to access unit.

Was not clear that I couldn't get into building/unit after 10 PM. I had my last load on the cart and was already in the building, but it must've just turned 10:00 and the elevator would no longer work. I had a few items sitting outside my unit and my unit was not locked, but there was no way for me to get to it. They do not have stairs in the building, which must be illegal since any building with elevators must also provide stairs in case of fire (contacting the city about that). I had to put the stuff from my last load back into the van, then into my car trunk, then haul it back up to my apartment. While "stuck" in the building after 10 PM, the person I was speaking to on the phone said she sent the location's GM an email asking her to lock my unit for me since I had to go out of town immediately after returning the van that night. I asked to be contacted to verify this happened, but I still don't know if my unit is locked or not since I never heard from anyone. There was broken glass on the first floor and dirt/woodchips on the second floor (where my unit was). Floors are not smooth so it made using the carts more difficult than what it should have been.

The keycard access and storage access hours were really convenient. There were numerous carts available for easy move of my items in and out of the facility. The loading dock was conveniently located and the temperature controlled units were exactly what I needed. The convenience of paying online each month was really helpful. I will be using this facility again.

I did online check-in and assumed I could have moved in immediately. However, upon my arrival, the storage unit was locked with a padlock so I had to look for staff at the front desk to help me unlock the lock, which was quite inconvenient because if I went after office hour there wouldn't be anyone to assist me. The staff was helpful and timely anyway so I was able to complete my move-in without further hiccups.

The Riverview location on Oregon Avenue is, without a doubt, the best U-Haul location I've done business with. Overall, the staff and management have proved top-notch, visit upon visit. Most specific comments of items needing attention are those primarily involving fellow customers and the need for professional services, beyond the staff. Cart availability was an issue. There were numerous times when upon arrival for a segment of my move(s) - there were no carts to use [three storage units filled and vacated within two month period, over numerous segments]. When a truck is rented and a crew is hired and on hand, that complicates and increases the cost and stress of moving significantly. Solution may include more carts (with tracking chip???), especially given the number of units housed at this location; and, reinforcement of the cart honor system through signage at each floor's elevators to take only carts actively in use use (no storage between trips), return carts to cart parking upon each storage departure (not abandoned on unit floor), and programmed panel reminders with each card swipe (check-in, each elevator swipe, check-out). #1 - Storage facility well-lit: All well-lit though designers/architects/electricians would have done well to include some motion-censored level of lighting per unit. #5 - Facility clean and well maintained: Plumber needed for bathroom toilets. Always clogged. Too low flow for 'public' use. 5th FLR, where my units were, has concrete deterioration in patches along the walkway making for sections of gravel path which the carts are hard to roll over. Best to staff and manager - they're great!

Lock that was purchased online wasn't available in this store or anywhere nearby. Drive in door to facility was out of service. Carts provided aren't big enough to transport furniture on. Staff was not helpful whatsoever and took 45 min to check in while I was the only customer there.

There was one person working and he was working very hard He is very kind and accommodating and knowledgeable But he can't be everywhere at one time. People waited in line for a long time home I am because the computers were down it took us, over an hour and 20 minutes, to get an elevator to open and take us upstairs to our storage space. The card didn't work and the pin didn't work and the second pin we were given didn't work. And we called from the elevator but the one employee was very Busy and could not answer, so we waited at home while we waited and waited and we waited. I'm a little concerned that this will happen every time I get there because it turned what should've been 45 minutes into a 2 1/2 hours

from my experience on 7/31: eric was very courteous on the telephone and behind the desk once i arrived. eric was professional when a keycard initially malfunctioned - he and the lady there (i forgot her name but her blue uhaul top with the reflecto-tape was drippin'). eric was helpful in showing me where the equipment was, how to operate the keycard, and when he found a unit close to the elevators. 8 e oregon is not my closest uhaul, but i had a feeling it would be the best. tbh the facility exceeded my expectations and eric (along with his co-worker) are fantastic. thank you so much! -alison

A day prior to moving out of my storage unit, I spoke with the location's UHAUL customer representative about an after-hours (post 10:00pm) move ahead of a trip across country. The UHAUL rep assured me that an after-hours move/check-out was possible and, as is standard operating procedure, that the only thing needed to access the facility is my storage keycard. Furthermore, the rep noted that in the event of any issues, UHAUL has a designated after-hours General Manager on duty to assist. Feeling good about the procedures in place, I proceeded with the move, starting the move-out process at 9:40pm. Well, about 1/4 of the way through, as we took the first load downstairs and exited the elevator, access was cut off promptly at 10:00pm - meaning, I could not come back up the elevator to grab the rest of my belongings or at the very least close the wide-open storage unit. To contextualize, I have PAID movers who are carrying my belongings from storage unit to truck outside before heading off for the night to a destination across country. But wait, this should not be problem because according to numerous signs inside the storage building and the customer representative whom I spoke with earlier, there's an "after-hours" manager on call to resolve any issues! Unfortunately that was not the case. After about a dozen phone calls, several texts, and voicemails left to the said after-hours GM, Alicia Hicks, I and the movers had to give up and, quite literally, leave my storage unit open with personal belongings fully exposed. What's worse is that I had to hire additional movers to come in the following day to pick up the rest of my belongings. Again, because this was a trip across country, this fiasco caused by AFTER-HOURS GM refusing to answer her phone cost me over $1000 in costs. Not only unprofessional but absolutely unacceptable. As a side note, when we initially entered the storage unit, alarms were blaring yet no security or UHAUL manager was on site. UHAUL is negligent and absolutely careless - needless to say, I will never rent trucks or storage units at UHAUL again.

I was HUGELY disappointed. I ordered at 10x10x10 room and when I arrived on moving day, instead I received two 10x1x5 units next to each other. I had already paid for movers and was moved out of my apartment so I had no choice given there was no one at the facility to help. I'm so disappointed. The facility did not have water in the bathrooms. The toilet did not flush. The bathrooms were filthy. The vehicle was filthy and smelled horribly of cheap cleansing product " Fabulouso" which does not disinfect. It took your breath away. When you left the vehicle your clothes smelled like it for hours which you needed a shower right away. Lastly upon returning the vehicle there wasn't anyone in the building to check you out. I waited over 20 minutes for someone to appear.

I maintained a storage unit for 3 1/2 years. I moved out and two days prior to my move my payment was processed. I asked if I would get a pro rata credit for the 28 days I was told no because I received the first month free when I initiated my storage rental. I feel like the first month free was like a bonus for me renting at U-Haul not a disadvantage. I should of gotten a 28 day credit.

I never knew I was not going to get my refund back or else I would’ve kept my garage to the 22nd or 21st of October I’ve never received a free month and which I wouldn’t know what I have to do with it because then you’re charging you at the end if it was a free month but I never got a free month nor do I get a military discount I called that double dipping someone pays for a garage and now you run it out to someone else you got double payment for that one unit I would recommend it to no one or to make sure when you check out you stay until your bill is due next

In general, this location met our storage needs. The location manager, Alicia Hicks, was friendly when I was able to make contact with her, but this was rare. Originally, she extended a monthly discount to us to price match a quote given to us for our size unit by a different Uhaul facility. After a little over a year, that discount was removed by senior mgmt without notification to us. I filed a claim with customer service and Alicia told me that she'd follow-up with senior mgmt to look into whether something could be done. After we (and seemingly Alicia) were given the run-around for almost a month, and after submitting multiple follow-up claims requesting a callback for an update, we eventually decided to take our business elsewhere due to the lack of communication and feeling like it just wasn't worth the hassle. On the day we decided to move out, the garage door at the facility was not working, which prevented us from being able to park close to the elevators and made the move-out process more difficult than it needed to be. Although it seemed like Alicia was doing her best to move the process forward, we would've appreciated better communication from either this location's staff and/or the customer service team that handled the claim intake. Had someone from senior mgmt reached out to us, we would've considered maintaining our storage unit.

This unhappy review is for 314-322 N 13th St, Philadelphia, PA. I reserved a unit on May 15 through the website (#808042-00115070). I showed up the day before I planned to move all my stuff into storage and they said there were no units available! That the website was allowing people to make reservations even though they hadn't any available for months? The staff at 13th Street found a unit at 8 E Oregon. Other than that, they were close to useless. Very dismissive, like it's not their problem. Ok, it's not their fault that U-Haul's website is busted, but why did no one call me ahead of time??? Can you imagine showing up with movers and a truck full of stuff, only to find out you have no unit? That's inexcusable.

Every single time I rent a Uhaul it takes half an hour. Every time! Doesn't matter how much I do in advance online to expedite the process. It's absolutely ridiculous. The single person at the front desk (one person for all truck rental and storage needs) was very polite and professional.

I been having problems with the desk from day 1 . I get paid different days so for 1 day late they would lock my doors and it will take then 3 hrs of me standing their waiting for someone to unlock my unit , I explain to then and they just act like they didn't care ! They took forever to find the key they put on my storage unit . I would of been done moving out in less then a hour !! But being as though they couldn't find the key it too like 2 hours

I drove 15 miles and got charged for 4 gallons of gas. When I pointed this oversight out to the rep, she said nothing could be done since the ticket had already been closed. Seems unfair to me.

Yesterday we tried to go in and look at the facility space and couldn't get access to it after paying for it. Today, we loaded our truck, drove over to the space and still can't get access to it!

Kelly the manager is fantastic. UHaul's website is absolutely terrible, so it just took a while to get to her. But the move was a little quirky, and Kelly helped us coordinate for maximum efficiency.

You needed more people in the store to get everyone taken care of it took 45 mins just to do one person then another 30 mins to do an other one is wrong there you have a line waiting an hour or more.

Hours very limited; off-hours access was not yet implemented. Due to delays in moving people showing up, they couldn't finish moving my belongings into the storage unit! This was really unfortunate.

Apparently all 10x10 have giant poles in them, which reduces the space. Floor is not temperature controlled. It's unbearably hot. No stairs - fire hazard

Mr Curry at 12th is rude, and demeaning. I almost went to pier 40 to rent space. guys at Oregon are awesome. The grade is for them.

In theory, UBox delivery and storage is a great service. This facility seems disorganized and unconcerned with customer needs. My delivery was inexplicably delayed, and no one was accessible to help.

Staff was nice and helpful when I called after getting lost. Not great that they put the UBoxes out in the open when people come to access them. Really unpleasant when I went, since it was raining.
