Have rented two 26' trucks over last two weeks. Both of these trucks were given to me with 1/8 tank of gas both times. This is not a minor inconvenience, and absolutely places the misuse by the previous renter as a problem to be solved by the new renter, rather than by Uhaul. Imagine trying to calculate your last fill up potentially hundreds of miles in advance so as not to waste gas by overfilling because it needs to somehow land back at 1/4 tank or lower. Coupled with the fact that my last full tank in Oklahoma would cost $2.19/gallon, but instead I got to fill up over 50 gallons immediately after rental in Michigan for $2.89/gallon. There are material costs and inconveniences being passed along to new renters due to poor fleet management and the excuse that "That's our policy, sorry." Really, it's very poor Customer Service behavior.

I couldn’t ask for a better experience I had to switch from another storage area to this one it was clean it was affordable it was convenient five stars

Increase the entrance width

The remote pickup or 24/7 pickup whatever you call it, did not work for me. I wasted a total of 90 minutes in below freezing temperatures, trying to follow the process but the website just did not acknowledge my location and kept saying I was at a wrong location. Then it gave me an option to scan the location barcode, which also did not work after trting many times for 15 minutes. Imagine trying to scan a single barcode for 15 mins in frigid cold without any success. Then it gave me an option to upload an image of the barcode, which also failed many times. All in all, I would rate my experience as pathetic, the call wait time was around 15-20 mins, which is after I had struggled with all the issues above. While I was lucky enough that the store was open at my pickup time, what if I was picking up after store hours? It would have ruined my whole plan. I had the same location issue while returning the truck, and wasted another 30 mins. The only saving grace was that the store employees were very friendly and the customer support on call was also helpful.

This location is well-managed and equipped. The staff is universally friendly and helpful.

Great management

Our Organization (CCRT) Catholic Community Response Team rents a U Haul truck on the average of 3 out of 4 Mondays thru the year. The employees at the Rochester Hills, MI location are absolutely great to work with, from reservation to the truck return. All the employees are very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

You had a really old truck, but it worked just fine. It was o.k. clean and did the trick

This is my 2nd time renting from this location. The pickup and return is much faster than other Uhaul locations I've been to.

They charged we twice I paid cash 230.00 dollars and they still charged my card 195.00 never told me they will charge my card after paying them I even made sure to fill up the gas tank.

The staff is extremely friendly and courteous (especially Noah Gerhard who served us). We have a Uhaul much closer to our home that I told my wife I would drive out of my way to come back to this location.

Nothing the girl is very professional and smart

Bethany has always been extremely friendly and polite to us, we have rented from here several times in the past 2 years.

I felt sorry for the employees who were in the storefront area, as it felt unheated. They were both bundled-up (multiple coats, stocking caps, gloves) as if working in a barn. The storefront area would be much more inviting and I'd have spent more time shopping if it were not 25 degrees in there.

Outside of trailer had quite a bit of mud on it when I picked it up, nothing interfering with function, just dirty. Interior was clean. Everything was fine with ride, handling, and electric.

Heated unload area made moving in and out of storage easy, even in the dead of winter. This is also the cleanest storage in Rochester.

Great staff from check-in, to trailer hook-up and take-off. No improvement needed for these folks.

The van was covered in dirt and road salt when I received it. I spent $2.00 at a self serve wash and rinsed it off prior to turning it in. The u-haul app was quite cumbersome to use during the after hours check in. Other than that, it was a positive experience.

Put phone chargers in your rental trucks

I never received a final receipt and that is poor business. I will hesitate before ever using or recommending this establishment ever again

Personnel were excellent. Nice large facility but the sign I needed was too small and I missed it. Maybe a guidance summary at the entrance? Will do better next time but difficult to navigate for a first timer.

Truck was in great condition and drove well. I had to wait about 5 minutes for a staff member to get the truck from me when I dropped it off, but no big deal.

When I opened y unit there was a POISON mouse trap box? Is that normal or who maintains that?

waiting on a correction to my account as I never moved out.... other than that, I will stay on top of the correction to see that the error is fixed

Well, I had to contact the office Saturday Oct 17 when I received a notice that I moved out, however, I did not move out. Within a reasonable amount of time I received a return call, stating they had made an error and corrected it. However, just waiting for my december payment to be reinstated as I paid 2 months in advance. Other than that, top notch customer service. I will stay on top of the correction to make sure it's done.

All good things. One exception was the young lady behind the counter had her radio a bit too loud and the elderly gentleman trying to return some boxes could not hear what she was saying behind her mask and the radio. She should have turned the radio off. Common courtesy.

I gave an "Excellent" rating to your storage, while I have a serious suggestion to you to improve the quality of your services. It is better to have multiple entrance doors to the buildings as for example for someone like me whose unit was located at the end of the hallway that was very difficult and a long way to access my unit through the only available door. My only comment would be that the office person should have shown us to the unit and showed us how to swipe in and out. I'm still not sure if I did it right.

Bethany I was there last night at closing. The poor woman who helped me either needs a lot of training or a new career. It took like 45 mins to rent the unit. That was insane. Then she didn’t tell me that ther was no elevator, didn’t tell me about the 2 levels of the price difference or there was apparently a free lock inside the unit after I bought one. Finding the zip tie on the lock was another unpleasant surprise since I flew in that morning and can’t carry a pocket knife. Luckily I had a nail clipper in my backpack. The alarm siren went off several time. Never did figure out what to do with the card key Since I didn’t need it to get in. Overall if was a horrible experience. The only good thing was you were open till 7. You should also put a camera and remote access system on your overhead door to rescue stupid people who are there past 10 instead of telling them they will just be stuck like you told me.

Suggestion: Trash cans in loading area. I noticed people leaving trash behind due to no garage can available. Otherwise great experience!

It is really wonderful in today's climate to deal with professional, knowledgeable and pleasant staff at a well-run company. The staff was always courteous and I never waited longer than 2-3 minutes if that for assistance. My storage unit was excellent the whole time I had my valuables in storage...no leaks, no wet floors, all inside, climate controlled. And once I cleaned out and closed my unit the rat trap had no bugs and no rats. The place is clean, very well lighted, safe, secure! Well run place! Thank you!

Storage is nice. Check-in procedure was a little problematic. I was not happy with my truck rental. We were charged a $25 truck cleaning fee, but the truck was filthy when we picked it up. My wife had to wash the interior. It had a dirty mask left in it from previous rental!

Very pleasant customer service. Never had a problem with my whole 3.5 year rental. Very clean.

The entire staff is always super helpful and extremely polite. The location is convenient to where I live, the facility itself is safe, secure and they offer those carts which are super helpful. The loading/unloading area is well lit, I feel safe even when being there alone at night, have never had any issues. Would highly recommend this facility for any of your moving and/or storage needs.

Everyone was helpful. There was a problem with my reservation, but they were able to sort it out and get me a storage unit. An employee helped me get boxes into my car. The facility is nice and clean.

My only complaint is that I was told I would have a first-floor unit and received a second-floor unit without an elevator it is very inconvenient.

Long waits in line. The first billings were not being charged to my credit card and I was sent late notices. It is now resolved.
