Online option for checking out the trucks is awful, doesn't save any time from just going in to the counter. And you still have to go to the counter to pick up keys. The customer return that was near my house on Hemphill was full and was located at a run down bar and grocery store with bums hanging outside so I had to drive to altamesa uhaul , which was nice but far from where I live , thank youjustin A.

On the video it showed the wiring ran underneath tell gate into a mount bracket. Instead he showed me the wire in the trunk and I'm expected to open the rear hatch hang the wire out and close the hatch on it. Very cheap & unprofessional installation.John H.

The whole experience was terrible. I was charged for a second day/late fee when I was 45 minutes early. My time to return was 8:30 p.m. and I returned around 7 p.m. The guy said he saw me on camera so he would fix it. The app wouldn't work checking in and the guy was going through my phone. I had other confidential emails and pages open as he was scrolling through the phone. It was super hot outside and my partner could not get in the cargo van because it was too high up. Last time I rented a van, it was a lower version. I was trying to lift him up and pull him in for about 20 minutes. He had another stroke the following day. After moving all the items and him getting overheated, I found him the following day on the floor. I spent the next couple of days in a terrible ordeal at the ER. His stroke was worse. I wasn't given a receipt or reimbursed for my mileage and charged an extra 20 $. I left a message for the District Manager and still haven't had a response. I had to return to remove everything I just moved a few days later, but went to the Alta Mere location. I was charged an additional fee, but the representative fixed it because the previous customer did not fill the tank. The Altamesa experience was terrible and life changing for my partner. Look it up on the camera! I want the DM to respond. I have used UHaul since 1984.PAMELA C.

The guy at the checkout was extremely detached. Was saying things to me that made his co-workers laugh. The first thing he said to me was â€œokay man do you think I can help you?â€ After seeing the argument before me I said well I sure hope soâ€. He then went on to tell me they don't load up cars onto trailers. Asked me if I can read and write. Told me to You-Tube how to do it. This was the first time I was told to go YouTube something from an employee. This was one hour before I had to move.Travis S.
The gentleman working the front desk was rude and unapproachable. He seemed more in tune to curse out loud about someone not doing their job as opposed to helping me. He was irritated that his computer didn't work and really seemed to hate the world. Very poor experience and probably won't return to this location. Rather drive out of my way and be treated well than to deal with this again.Edward N.
Maybe the guy receiving the equipment shouldn't yell at customers telling them not to park somewhere that wasn't obvious for customers not to park. That wasn't necessary.Delonda P.

The physical location is fine, and the employees great. However, the online return program was a complete failure. I chatted with two online representatives about how the process wasn't working for me, to no avail. I was recommended to call customer support, which I did, and waited so long that my phone died. Then I was charged the money for not properly going through the online return process. So, again, the location is fine, but I will absolutely think twice about using Uhaul again.Joshua J.

This location was terrific. However, the online and phone reservation was really bad. Although I booked a trailer to be picked up in Burleson, the reservation was switched to Abeline several hours away. I also reserved a truck to be picked up in Lubbock and the reservation was switched to Abeline. The issues were resolved but very frustrating.Clifford R.
For me the, dealing with staff at check out was a miserable experience. Pickup on a Sunday morning at 8:00 â€¦ 9 customers, 1 employee that was clearly having a bad morning. Second employee showed up at 8:30, but it took 1 1/2 hours to pick up a trailer and I had completed the online check in. Drop off was fine, equipment was fine.Robert C.

This is my favorite location to rent from- the only thing I could recommend is to greet customers as they are returning equipment but I understand being busy and low staffed. The owner is great here at this location and runs a good crew.Christopher R.

Our equipment we reserved was not in the truck for contactless pickup, so I had to go inside and wait 15-20 more minutes in line to get equipment. Further, they did not have the dolly I requested, so we had to make do with a smaller one. Frustrating experience there, but the rest of the process was simple. Employees were helpful, but wish it had been done right the first time to save me time and not make me go inside and risk exposure to Covid.Daniel A.

Make sure you understand the new technology. So you can cruise thru paperwork online. They think everyone is software savvy. I am a baby boomer, and I thought I was pretty current but evidently not with everything. I didn't know that everyone doesn't use Safari or Chrome. I use Safari by the way. Employees could show a little more motivation. Confusion on what unit I was to get and then I had to wait an extra 45 minutes to get a confirmation. Trailer was full of yard debris. Check vehicle before assigning it. I requested a change since the truck was dirty and parked in a location that I could not access. The employee was very cooperative in making the change. The policies of Uhaul are different from what they were when I last rented in 2014, and I doubt that I will use Uhaul again unless it's an emergency situation.SHEREE GAMBILL F.

I do want you to know you may want to watch your video on 7/18/21 afternoon around 2-3pm. Your employee driving your trucks was driving very dangerous..he almost flipped a truck, he was squealing tires as he drove around the corners.. my husband went in to talk to a manager, he was told there was not one on duty.. this employee could have hurt or even killed someone with the way he was driving. I wasn't really satisfied with the unit received. It may have been. Rooms were over booked and the gentleman who helped me was amazing at coming up with a solution for a wider unit.
