The Share 24/7 app is buggy, hard to use, and takes too long … especially uploading photos. You should mention up front that it needs access to your camera and to your location so that you can be all set up ahead of time. Also if there is a weak cell signal … forget about it. It was quite a frustrating experience ( and I'm a geek! Very tech savvy.)

We reserved a truck many days in advance and they lost all record of the reservation. They changed my pickup address 40 minutes away without letting me know ahead of time, they had to reenter all of the info I already gave them almost 6 different times adding almost 3 hours to out moving time, they added an additional 40 dollars to the price, they were unprofessional when we mentioned how we couldn't spend anymore time on our order because we needed to move, they gave us a drop off location that was closed for the day we needed to return the vehicle, and it took almost 2 hours waiting for one location to call the other to allow me to return the vehicle at all. This was the worst UHaul experience ever. We should have only had to worry about moving, we did our part in reserving the vehicle and preparing, and they were not at all prepared to do what they do every day. Unbelievably terrible service. This experience made it so we never want to move again just so we don't have to use UHaul again, but if we do, is rather just physically carry everything to the new house.

Understaffed. Two experiences at pickup and drop off. At pickup there was no one in the store and several people in line. The woman who finally helped us was outside doing something. We waited 5 minutes before she finally came in. She was abrupt and did not represent Uhaul well. Truck smelled like cat piss, but was otherwise fine. At drop off, a guy helped me and he was efficient and friendly. Store is clean.

The truck I had was old, it smelt like cigarette smoke and the floor was dirty. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but it was obvious that with only one person doing everything you need to hire more people.

I was not informed of my options, I could have rented in Boston and dropped off in Boston or I could have dropped off in Boston and save a day rental and mileage charges back to Maine. Customer service was a bit frustrating. Overall, a decent experience at best.

Pricing needs to be more transparent. I was quoted $19,99 + a mileage charge for a single-day van rental, and when it came time to pay I found out it was $79,99 + a mileage fee. The mileage fee said it was for fewer miles than I traveled, so I assume a number of miles were included in the $79.99, but I should not have to make assumptionsâ€" uhaul should have a clear breakdown of costs, and that breakdown should not differ substantially between estimates and post-rental charges. If after a certain number of miles, the cost is included in a higher per-day charge, I should be informed of that up-front. This location was great aside from not putting my rented dolly in the van (good thing they were open when we arrived) but uhaul needs to make their pricing more transparent.

Dropping off the vehicle was quick and easy. Picking it up, however, was long and frustrating. Waited in line over 35 minutes. There were scratches and dents all over it that I took pictures of because I was worried I would be charged for them. It would have been nice to get a employee to walk around the vehicle with and verify I wouldn't be charged for them.

Location was great, app check in much less so. I could not have checked in without help of nice woman working at U-Haul. App is bullshit, won't ever rent from U-Haul again. I don't carry with me lease, passport or any of the “other” documents the app wanted me to furnish in order to complete check in. Had it been after hours I would have s.o.l.

There was a apple that rolled out from under the driver's seat and rolled under the break pedal when i had to make a quick stop what a hell of a surprise to keep on slamming break to stop unbelievable not cool at all!! Almost in major accident because of a apple 15 minutes later my grandson would of been right beside me and his dad not impressed but truck ran great site was a good help compared from the last time i rented the woman that help me needs help on Sunday and very good employee hope you take care of people like her Raymond Bouffard

Being more clear about the pricing ($30 + 0,69/mile listed vs $80 + 0,29/mile actually paid). It was nice that it came out to cheaper than expected, but I almost went with another company because for high milage trips, 0,69/mile is alot!

The truck was dirty. I wiped the interior cab down and the wipes were black. I followed directions on the text that was sent and I was still charged a $20 convenience fee for early return. I called the next day and spoke with Jen? She said she would call me back. She never called back. I want the $20 fee refunded and verbal credit for cleaning your truck…Todd Neddeau

The online after hours return process wasn't clear from the beginning. The store associate just told me to return the key to the after hours box and did not say anything about an online return process but then there are signs posted on the wall by the box telling customers to go to the app to return their equipment after hours. I ended up returning the key to the box before realizing that I needed to have the keys in order to turn on the truck to take a photo of the gas gauge. Then the online app didn't work for me because my cell phone didn't have enough memory available to complete the photo upload process. Customers should be able to complete the online return process without having to take a photo. I spent at least 15 minutes trying to return the truck online before giving up, which was very frustrating. And it appears that the online return process is just redundant and is not even necessary as I still received my receipt the following day.

The manager could not be any more helpful friendly and accommodating- it was truly a very good experience- she actually returned our phone calls at odd hours and did everything possible to meet our needs. The Saco, Maine location is really an excellent facility! The place is extremely secure, clean and pleasing to the eye and plenty of space to maneuver your vehicle

I was called on July 4th and left a message that my storage unit was "empty with no lock" and left instructions to call back if I was not moving out that day. I called back, and proceeded to call back everyday following. I was never put in touch with the Saco location and the national distribution center couldn't reach them either. I was not able to confirm that my property was in fact NOT missing until I could go to the storage unit myself on July 9th. At checkout when I brought this up the staff member rolled her eyes and moved on - this issue is not resolved in my mind and spoiled the whole experience.

I was there for 3 hours the woman that was there at 8am was complaining to me about how her boss was late and was mad because she couldn't check in people's trucks then I told her what I was looking for for a storage unit she gave me something way to small they Changed my unit 3 times and my info was wrong the only nice thing was Jennifer refunded me my money for 3 hours of fixing the problem the woman with dark hair should not work there she was extremely rude to people

I had paid for a dolly to be included with the rental. When I picked up my dolly on Friday (3/4/22) at your Sanford location there was no dolly in the uhaul. This error set me back a day in my moving process as I needed the dolly to move appliances. I then spoke with a very kind lady through customer service who agreed that was unfavorable and offered an additional day for free. The very next day I was being harassed by I believe your general manager of maine or something. It was a woman. She actually threatened my wife and I and said she would track us down to return the truck. After this threat we frantically returned the truck to the lot that night. Somehow in your system it says I owe an outstanding balance to you. Even though I have a bank statement as proof that I was charged. I needed a truck for another day so I just went through pensky.

Everyone that I have spoken to at this facility is knowledgeable and customer friendly. These are some very patient people. They do not try to rush anyone and it seems that they will do whatever they can to make sure that the customer is satisfied before they move on to the next thing. GREAT JOB U HAUL SACO CREW

uHaul had setup auto pay for our storage unit, that way once the free month was over it would automatically bill us. uHaul failed to bill us for July and August. Forcing our account to show as unpaid. Despite a $2 authorization charge showing on our bank statement - clearly showing that uHaul had access to bill our account. It's been frustrating to get situated. As we feel that due to uHaul's mistake, we shouldn't be billed for that missed time.

Initially the interaction with a certain staff member was not good BUT Lance was always helpful and when I met with the manager Jennifer she listened and helped with the issues we were having. This is a very busy location and they all work very hard and are under staffed. Hope they can get extra help soon .

The staff @ Saco U-Haul was great, and the facility is really nice U-haul had an issue in that it confused me with somebody else in their system and initiall prevented the rental from going through, but when the standard customer support from U-haul was evidently failing, the staff reached out "behind the scenes" to expedite the resolution and bring it to a great conclusion - they saved the day and made my experience a positive one.

The alarm to my unit never worked. The staff said it would take hours on the phone to fix and with the 3 hour time difference from Maine to Arizona it would be hard to fix. Other than that, I had a good experience and would use U-Haul again.

Everything is great, the only problem I have is my code to unlock the door wouldn't work when I tried it so I had to rely on other people who were there to access the door. Not sure if it's because I bought it and moved in the same day but I would be bummed out if the code still didn't work after the fact.

Jen Strout was great however, this facility needs more staff. I have had issues with a truck not being available when I reserved it, having their systems down when I wanted one and although it was there, they could not rent because they could not get into the computer. I would not use the auto payment system for storage lease again as I have had an issue with it. Also I can NEVER get anyone on the Phone causing me to have to go in person and wait in a long line to speak with someone as only one person is working there. The place is clean and safe but, they need to figure out the management side of things.
