Person running location was a great multi talker. It was busy & she was also training an intern, dealing with your corporate's faulty computer program - requiring renters of vehicle to take photos of license (worked for front side of license photo then failed). Multiple people editing & she handled everything with grace & efficiency. Definitely overworked & she even had to bring trucks over from adjacent lot for customers. Then handled a renter whose truck time down & sent by corporate to this location. She needs to be recognized for keeping things going & delivering great business to this site. The oil light and buzzer was on as we pulled out of the facility. We immediately turned around and went back to store. We didn't drive it a mile so the mileage didn't roll over, and the rep couldn't figure out to swap it out. It took another 1/2 hour to get another truck. It was an unexpected, avoidable delay and the rep was not empathetic at all and unconcerned for our delay. No apology was offered.Linda H.

It would be much better if it was possible to be able to call the other U-Haul and storage place to reserve a storage I had a horrible time finding a storage unit because the representative that took my call in another location got me a smaller unit , so it would be nice if you could add that in to help calling or scheduling from your own site to another U-Haul would be much less stressful and less worrysome. .thank you.GLORIA V.

We've used this facility may times over the last 10+ years, this visit was atypical. It took almost an hour to finish out the pre-reserved rental. Problems included a manager who watched the line of customers building up but wasn't assisting, the staff we had being delayed in helping us, and then struggling with process. Items were asked for that were not included in the list of items to bring as part of the online reservation. Our unit was available but other folks were being told units they had reserved weren't actually available and the staff was discussing how this has been a regular problem and escalated to online stalking of staff in one case. If there was not a shortage of storage in the area and our previous good experiences we would have moved on to another facility. Also one of the staff members came barging through an exit door at a run while we were moving in, the door missed injuring both of us only because I had been standing to the side by the code entry plate. There is nothing to resolve as we are in a unit, but the feedback might be useful in the future both for customer service and safety.Aaron S. | Premières impressions

I just rented a uhaul from this location last Saturday 9/25, first I opted to pick up the uhaul from my phone. When I got there I had to go inside and wait in line to get the key, totally defeats the purpose of that and took an extra 15 minutes. My uhaul hadn't been cleaned, there was a ton of dead lovebugs all over it. Then I returned it early the same day, I went inside to verify I could return it to this same location. The uhaul employee Alexis H said that was fine and she'd change my return location and put it in the notes. The next day I ended up getting two bills and overcharged. Ridiculous. I emailed them with the email address on the second bill and got no response and called and was placed on hold for 25 minutes and then gave up. Do yourself a favor and rent from a different location. Apparently, you now outsource to a call center. I had an emergency situation with no way of reaching the actual facility. The customer service person refused to reach out to facility causing movers to wait for fow two hours. Your customer service folks don't communicate the process. The people at this office are as kind and professional as the person that took care of me in South Carolina last week. If you had this service from the beginning of my ordeal I might not hate deal with U-Haul. I really hate that you have the cheapest trucks, compared to enterprise and Penske. I wish I had the money to go somewhere else, but then again, it shows that you could afford people/employees that want to work and help customers with their moving and hassles; without seeing them like a dollar bill or another idiot trying to be self sufficient. That is how your company has made feel not just now, but always. As if I ought to hire professionals, a moving company that doesn't care about my belongings. I WANT to take care of my own stuff and I WANT to drive my belongings to where I WANT to go!! I think sometimes you go to the lowest prison and hire for pennies your so called employees. This also includes your online service. I wish you could have inspectors to see and confirm my rant. How some of your locations are filthy and disgusting but I have to be there with my children. How your company laughs at me when a reserved vehicle (which you and everyone else in your company has no definition of the word reserved) it's not available regardless that it was available when the original order was made. I have passed for locations full of the size vehicle that you have denied. I wonder are there independent companies or are you retaliating against them, and NOT sending customers their way or really the people online in charge of this knowledge are so incompetent that they have to send me out of my way in the middle of nowhere to rent a vehicle? I wish you know more about service, what it really means. And while I know that there are lowlife customers, I am not one of them, I would like some respect as this location gave me. It's not difficult and I am not asking for something new. Might be new to your corporation, but good service does lift the day of lifting heavy furniture, rushed lunches, leaving where you were discriminated and hated just because your skin color, and being separated from your life style while you find yourself again.NANCY G.

The employee made a production of having to count and fold the blankets. It was an obvious ploy not to give me money back for cleaning the truck and folding the blankets. The truck had been leaf blowed out , the blankets were all folded and accounted for before he stepped in the vehicle. Be better than this Uhaul.Phillip W.
The attendant was put in a difficult situation because of the lack of service/knowledge by the person in Hampton, GA. If Uhaul's Customer Experience philosophy is all about low cost with limited policy knowledge by third party providers, you are executing the strategy. The first storage rental got messed up because a drink was spilled on a computer. I was assigned a different storage space and the insurance was not done properly. I went back 2 days later to fix the insurance and buy more supplies and the rental assignment had been put back to the original space. Went to move things into the space the next day, and the elevator was blocked by a huge truck and a van that had been turned in and just left. Then went back with another load after 7 PM and the code that I had made up had been changed when the unit was reassigned. We had to call the "on call" to get it-COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!!!!! The manager is apparently on vacation. I will voice my complaints in person. The staff was always courteous, but that can't make up for such a negative experience.Caroline A. | Premières impressions
