When I first walked in the building it smelled like poop. The truck I had the brakes were terrible and it sounded like it was going to break down at any minute. I didn't feel safe in the truck. I think these trucking companies need to upgrade/update their trucks. The truck was loud and wasn't a good truck to drive. As much as they charge people to rent these trucks. It's really no excuse for these trucks to be this worn out.Jamie F.
There was only one employee working both times we went there and there was a line both times. It would be helpful to have at least 2 people working so that customers aren't waiting awhile but both employees each time we dealt with were extremely nice and helpful.LOUIS H.

The Uhaul representatives do not give you correct information on the phone when you extend the time you need it. They quoted me 40 extra for the day and a half. I return the truck Tuesday morning at 9am. Plus they shorted me 2 dozen blanketsMarguerite R.

Reservation was moved from 6 AM to 12 PM the day before. No help offered, no apologies offered, no solutions offered, just good luck. Called the day of and then was told the truck wouldn't be ready until 7 PM. Was offered a 15 foot truck, barely got my move completed. Complete lack of regard for customer time. Will be going with Penske in the future as I can't imagine they are this disrespectful to their customers and their time. No compensation or assistance offered. There was broken glass in the back that I didn't see until I cut myself on it. I was charged for a dolly I never asked for. It was in the back of the truck when we got the truck. Check in & out took longer than expectedHEATHER F.

Had nothing to do with the location. My location was switched and I was never informed of it. I went to the location of the conformation email I received and they made me drive the complete opposite direction and waste more time and fuel. I wasn't happy about that single detail. It moved everything back in the day just because they couldn't send a email or notification telling me the location was switched. I drove an extra 20 miles just to pick up the truck from location to location.Brian M.

From reservation on the phone, to check in, to getting a better rate because I returned it to the pick up location, all 100 % satisfactory, in fact above that. A friend who moved to Nashville recommended U-haul and the Mover Helpers, over using a moving company, and I am glad they did. I would definitely use all of them again. Thank you, UHaul!!Joseph S.

There were two young people there which seemed under staffed for the amount of activity. They did try to get me a copy of both my receipts. One even showed me both on his phone but they were unable to print or email the first one to me. I said let me take a screen shot of the one they could not print but by then they said it was gone and they couldn't get it back. I needed the receipt to give my employer, for accounting. They gave me a phone number and after about 1 -1/2hrs of phone que and 2 attempts I finally got the receipts emailed to me. How can I get these myself from the app??manuel F.

At the Shillington, PA store I find Chris Moyer to be an outstanding U-Haul store manager. He has installed equipment for me. He has rented several trucks to me and in each situation he has answered my questions knowledgably and efficiently. Take good care of him. I put 20 $in fuel back into the vehicle before dropping it off. It was exactly where it was when I picked it up. But I still got charged for fuel which has bunch of crap. Obviously they just wanted to rip me off oh, a little more. Will not recommend this place to anyone. Somebody was a little off-center when they tried to view the fuel gauge. Like I said it was exactly where it was when I picked it up. There's no reason that I should have been charged 20 $for for fuel, plus the 20 and put in. That truck did not use 40 $worth of fuel.Christopher C.

I returned the truck with more gas than I left with and I was 30 minutes late due to a construction work on the highway and you all charge me another day rental there's no reason you should of done this other than to make more money off of me other than the money you already made off of me I'm still very mad about this and I will never ever ever deal with this u haul of any other u hauls ever again because it's bullshit I don't see anywhere in my contract that if I'm 30 or 25 minutes late that I will get charged another day the day I rent the truck the guy was cool I liked him he did a good job the boss the white guy but when I returned the equipment the white guy was an asshole and I'm thinking about getting a lawyer even if I pay him more than another day rental it will be worth itMICHAEL P.
One of the worst experiences I've had renting a vehicle. I made reservations for a rental truck, went to two separate locations to find no truck available. After finally getting a U-HAUL â€œmanagerâ€ on the phone, they locate me a truck here at this Shillington location (50 minutes out of my way) and offer me a discount for my troubles. When I arrived at this location I was greeted by a manager named Debra who was the rudest associate I've come across. She refused to honor the discount offered to me by U-Haul, cursed during our conversation on how â€œthe scheduling managers don't know what they're doing, I'm not losing my ass on this rental!â€ â€œYou'll have to wait 30 minutes while I listen to the phone calls, I can listen to the call, do you want me to do that?!â€ Her exact words. I began to call the U-Haul manager back myself as Debra was berating me before she hastily applied the discount and threw my receipt on the desk. The truck itself, was in horrible condition. Low coolant light on when I received it (their lot attendant gladly filled the coolant reservoir with water from a windex bottle though), power steering pump whining, and as seen in photos a blown out windshield seal that allowed it to rain inside of the truck as I drove it down the road. I will need to rent a truck again in a few weeks for the next leg of our move and I absolutely guarantee it will not be a U-Haul. Never again!!RALPH C.

Reserved a truck for 3 days to move the stuff out my old house to a storage locker then to my new house after closing. Received a call the day before moving that uhaul would only allow me to rent the truck for 24 hours. Made things extremely difficult. When U-Haul is not able to meet your reservation requirements at one location, U-Haul should be proactive in contacting you. I made a reservation two months in advance and only learned about a needed change 24 hours in advance. Instead of contacting me to see what would be best for my needs, U-Haul took it upon themselves to simply change it, which resulted in a location not amenable to myself. If you want my business in the future, I would appreciate having some better communication.ALEXANDER P.

Kid that checked me in was out of uniform wearing street clothes, very nice personable young man though. They allowed a Toyota Rav 4 to rent a TOW DOLLY to tow a Toyota Corolla behind it. 811065 is definitely NOT what it used to be.STEVEN B.
