the personel is a very friendly person, I just wished that all 15 feet trucks have backup camera. I once used one with a backup and that was more safe to use. Otherwise I loved so much the reception by the personel at Someville.Erick N.

Only one attendant, a line of 5, a Custumer with problems in renting a trailer and pulling the only attendant out constantly. The truck bed had glass broken everywhere, the attendant told me â€œkeys are here, go find you truck out in the lotâ€. No Custumer services adequately, no instructions in how to return the truck and I spent near 1-1/2 hours trying to return the truck. I will definitely try to use a different company and not recommend UHaul.Alexandre G.

I purchased a queen mattress bag with my rental request and there were none on the store display so the person assisting me (who was busy assisting other staff) had to go to storage to get some. The first van (which I rented to move a child's bunk bed and mattress) had a lot of rusty water in the back. The replacement van smelled heavily of marijuana. My rental was already 15 minutes late at that point, so I was not about to complain or even thoroughly check the rental for damage or review the paperwork. I had to apologize to the person I was getting the bed from for smelling like weed and even though I left the van wide open for 40 minutes it still smelled like weed when I returned it. The morning staff here are like zombies and this is not the first time I've experienced the smell of weed at this location.James B.

I opted for the new 24/7 mobile pickup option, which worked fine because I went during normal operating hours, but as it turned out, my truck was located a quarter mile away at the location's back lot on the next street. I was only able to locate my truck after getting directions inside the location. Had I tried to pick up outside normal hours, I never would have found the truck. It would helpful to make note of this within the 24/7 option process.Kyle G.

The truck I was given was a different size than what I reserved, had no loading ramp (which I needed), and had alarms on the dashboard saying it needed air bag and traction control service. The window crank was also broken so the window couldn't roll down. Truck was in bad shape overall and probably shouldn't have been on the road.ALEXANDER Q.

Two men behind the front desk were wildly incompetent and unprofessional. One of them took his time with everyone telling them his life story and family stories so much that the people in line were laughing at how ridiculous it was. They also couldn't find keys to half of the trucks so kept running back and forth. It was not great and didn't make me feel confident in anything that was happening there.MOLLY R.
The employee who helped me in the morning was very helpful and did a good job. The location did not have the truck I made a reservation for and my estimate was 104 $. I had to get a smaller truck which resulted in me having to make more trips and using more gas miles. My total ended up being 312 $. Penske it is next time.JOSEPH T.
I absolutely love this location. They are the only uhaul location that is friendly and is there to help in anyway. Any issue I have had in the past they took care of it promptly with no hesitation and with a smile. Everyone is very polite also. The only issue I do have is they need to clean the windows in the vans and trucks especially the inside. The last few times I could barely see and have to wipe them down myself other than that I will definitely recommend this location to everyone!!!REGINA S.

The entire crew here at 151 Linwood is to be commended. Everything was easy. From the reservation for the truck rental, to picking up the stuff my daughter had in storage at the facility. Staff was personable, understanding, and treated us like family. They all deserve a bonusMark S.

There was one customer in front of me and it took me over an hour to check out/get my truck because the counter person, the "AGM" literally spent almost a half hour just bullshiting with this obviously lonely old white guy who either needed a therapist or a bartender but simply had zero awareness and made my scheduled check out time of 12pm not execute until almost 1pm. It literally delayed everything for the rest of my day. Teach your people to multitask. On top of that. I was charged incorrectly because they recorded the actual fuel wrong and never walked me through the truck, or showed me a contract. They walked a foot out of the door pointed to a truck and said " that's yours" If you cucks weren't literally the only people I could rent a boxvan from to move shit I would never use your service againShawn S.

The truck I received was a completely disgusting. It had broken glass and a bottle of urine in it. Didn't seem as if it had been cleaned at all and smelled as if people had been living in it. Will never rent from UHaul again.CALEB M.

Bad service from the second day of moving in Somerville. No one was available to move our U Box with forklift (apparently he was out for the afternoon) and no one wants to help us. We move it by hands and transpallet. I have picture if you need it. The U Box was shipped but I wasn't able to have info about it cause in my account online it doesn't show up.. The U Box was late 5 days in Los Angeles. 4 effective days plus one in which they book took the appointment in order to move it (even though I called at 9am. After this experience I claimed my refund (200 $/ 50 $per day) and instead give it to me I discovered I was charged. I spent other hours at the phone and now the issue seams fixed and I'm waiting the refund. Very tremendous month with U Haul.. and so many hours spent at the phoneRiccardo G.
Truck was in excellent condition. Very clean. Easy to navigate. Although, even with both sets of mirrors adjusted, there is a blind spot as you pull out to the left. We were very cautious. The capacity of the 15 foot truck was perfect. Easy to rent AND to return on line. Thanks for making this move smooth and flawless and for reassurance and checks all along the way. There are two basic things a moving company needs to do to hit the minimum standards of service; get there on time and get the box to the right place. It has been an ongoing nightmare for both of these things. To add insult to injury, after calling multiple times to try and resolve the issues, I was sasses for this like it was my fault. 0/0 stars and you have lost a customer for life.Michael D.

At the time of a multiday rental, your salesperson said that I can return unused boxes no questions asked. The salesperson said I did not need a receipt. After I returned the van, a different salesperson wanted a receipt. Now I am stuck with unused boxes. The van was not clean. I cleaned it myself. Sommerville, MA used to be a very good franchise. I had good experiences interacting with the phone staff both for this location and U-haul across the board. But I noted that the computer system/infrastructure often was slow or was not working on their end, and then I experienced technical issues on the U-haul site after making my order over the phone. I chose to insure my U-box, and it never went through online. I did not catch it until I got my receipt and by then it was too late, my movers had arrived for the job and somewhere in the process my brand new TV was damaged, with U-haul having no electronic record of my insurance selection. The online system is faulty and outdated, and I did not have the capacity to be on hold with U-haul during their busiest time of year in order to do it all over the phone. So overall I'm really disappointed with my broader U-haul experience, but the people I talked to on the phone for this location were great. I'm not sure I would use U-haul again, but if I do, I will do things differently in order to have better outcomes.ANNA P.
WHAT A RIDICULOUS EXPERIENCE. Our UBoxes were supposed to arrive on 8/30, and didn't until 9/10. We called dozens of times in between for updates, and received different messages from people. There was no way to know where our stuff was in transit, and no one could get in touch with the drivers? Is this the 21st century still? We were told by one person our stuff arrived on 8/31, made an appointment to pick it up, and it wasn't there. We took multiple days off work, and all of that was wasted because of miscommunication or a complete lack of communication. Horrible experience, will likely never use Uhaul again.Alex H.

After finally locating the office for service, I located a staff member who seemed bored throughout the process. He achieved the task of helping me find an available space--which is hard enough with UHaul--but refused to do provide any service beyond what seemed like a rotely memorized routine. When he asked, "Anything else?" I responded, "Could you please help me move this item into my unit?" He then said, "We don't do that here. We don't move things in." And left it at that. I then struggled for the next few minutes to lift my hefty suitcase into an upper-level compartment with only a spindly step ladder on wheels to assist me. It was dangerous. I could have fallen backward. My final struggle was with the lock, but I was able to find a second staff member at that time who was much friendlier and professional. It may not have been in his job description, but he took time to step away from his desk and resolve the lock issue for me. the staff was great and friendly. but the organization and customer service overall was horrible. there were 30 people in line when i got there, and it took nearly an hour to get through, even though i had booked everything before hand. for long stretches, no one was even in the room helping customers. they were out taking care of something. i truthfully have never seen a more poorly organized customer service experience. Our overall experience was good, but Edgar went above and beyond and made our move-in SO easy and pleasant on an otherwise stressful day. He was helpful, informative, and seemed genuinely invested in making things run as smoothly as possible. Side note, he was unexpectedly alone at the beginning of the shift on Sunday with a line of people outside, and he handled it with grace and calm.
