Truck, that I rented today for a short time and a near-by location. The pickup truck smelled of alcohol. Glitter and dried mud were on the front seat and mud on the floor. In the rear of the pick-up truck were empty beer cans. Also, the self-serve drop off process was most challenging, when using mobile phone and site. Lighting was minimal when processing the return. What other options are available in the near future for someone who is not technology savy?

The van was dirty and the left turn signal didn't work. I had to wash the windshield, windows and mirrors so I could drive safely. I'm kind of shocked that they didn't clean it and check the lights/turn signals before renting it. The people I dealt with were friendly and pretty efficient.

I returned my retail truck at the schedule day and time. But it was not check in until 2 days later when I call and complain about the retail charges on my bank statement. Was over charger because of not checking the truck in.

I picked up a 26’ truck in the morning. It was virtually on empty. Drove it back to my store when the battery light came on. Called the location and was told to bring it back to exchange. I was not going to drive a truck, on empty, with a battery issue on the highway. They towed it. I had rented this to transport equipment to a large event the next day at 7 am. I did not have time to come back at that point. Picked up second truck at 3:45pm. Was clean. Driving back to my store and the battery light flashed off and on several times. Ultimately I couldn’t return it since there wasn’t a third 26’ truck at that location so had to roll the dice since the truck had to be loaded for the next morning and I wasn’t going too far. Was very stressful hoping the truck would start the next day since this event was for an extremely important client. Thankfully it did. Upon returning the truck, with the battery light still flashing, the pick up time was not adjusted to the second truck’s pick up time in the computer so was initially charged for a third day. They did correct it when I reminded them of the correct time. As a company that rents trucks specifically for large events like moving homes, it is extremely likely that your clients have a time sensitive situation. When a truck breaks down, someone should be able to tow it and then bring a replacement. It is extremely inconvenient to have to rearrange for a drive. Trucks should also go through some type of inspection. Ensure that there is a reasonable amount of fuel at pick up and that there aren’t any pending engine issues.

The gentleman that was working with me left me at the counter to pull the truck forward. When I realized he was taking 10 minutes of my process time, I went outside to see him working with someone else. I had a small amount of time with the help I hired and was frustrated that he wouldn’t finish my transaction when I asked twice. He then was curt and abrasive with me. I was frustrated that he was not considerate of my time. I tried to convey to to him that I meant no harm but he did not accept my apology or acknowledge me at this time. I felt like I was in a compromising situation. He then priced my truck at $20 over what I was quoted in line, when I asked he just restated the price without any explanation. I then stopped signing anything and asked again, “Why are you charging me $20 over?” He then explained that it was a deposit if you use cash or a debit card. He was rude, did not explain well and was disrespectful. I will never go there again.

The facility gave me the wrong size trailer I needed a white trailer they gave me the standard size their system show two of the one I need it on the lot but they did not have it I had to go to another facility to get the proper size they didn’t compensate me in any type of way for going to the other facility driving the extra mileage then when I got to the new facility with the proper trailer no one was there to help me attach it to the U-Haul truck I had to literally pick up the trailer by hand myself and attach it to the truck the person at the new facility close the door and left me outside to my own devices to have this attached to my truck on at 800 mile trip. No compensation in no type of way no we’re sorry for your inconvenience the person at the new facility had an attitude because I was using their trailer and it was paid for at another facility that’s not my fault that is a Uhaul situation.

The young man took my money, and I didn’t notice until I was home. He charged me for the light for the trailer attachment but didn’t add it to the receipt. So when I got home I noticed that it was not on my receipt and it says that I have home $60 not $80.

First, you can make sure that the location services is not that difficult for customers to access. Next, you could have representatives that are honest and forthcoming and not charging for gas when it is clear that customer brought the vehicle back with more gas than it had when it was rented out.

My overall experience was very good but when the attendant was getting the vehicle ready I asked him a question as he was putting the dolly inside the truck but unfortunately he did not inform me when he was finished and went into the building attending other customers never notifying me he was finished and as a result I was sitting waiting I was to go inside and ask the attendant if my truck was finished and ready to go. A little more Courtesy he had to walk right past me

Be honest let the customer know that you close at 7 o’clock and if you take the truck out no matter who tell you it will be alright no matter what time to bring it back you will need to pay and don’t give anyone your word if you can’t stand up to it

The man who stood outside my driver door and ignored me while I was getting out to return the keys should start orientation over. He only spoke after I started walking towards the building because he needed the keys. Establishing that he wasn't hearing impaired or mute, just an asshole. I told the gentleman inside and he dismissed my concerns, if you can even consider that an acknowledgement in the first place. Unfortunately this lack of professionalism is overshadowing the excellent customer service I received picking up my truck. I would rather play Red Rover on an interstate blindfolded than go back to that obnoxious experience you call a Uhaul store.

Give your female employee (Named DEWANA) a raise in pay. Here is why,,,, After refueling the large truck for return to U-Haul it was after 5 pm. and check out was made via your web site,,,, pictures and all!! Upon returning home we realized the 2nd set of car keys with car fob (which controls car lock, trunk and misc other features) along with house keys, tool box keys etc.,,,, WAS MISSING ! A call back to U-haul contacted a person named "Dwana" who said she would check the truck again. Several minutes later a call was received saying the key fob and keys were found caught between the driver and passenger seats,,,, never making it on to the floor where they could be found! Thanks DWANA,,, you need a raise in pay for your exceptional "Customer Service". I hope U-Haul acts on this before they loose a super person!!
