our area lost power for 31 hours, and the rep. was able to change my appointment when I could not without internet serviceDennis K.
I made a reservation for a 4x8 trailer on Monday evening for my local U-Haul location. (The reservation would be for 3 days later) 10 minutes later I get a phone call saying that was not available (even though my reservation went through on-line). I now had to go to an alternate location and could only get a 5x8 trailer. When talking to this dispatcher, I asked about a different location (West Roxbury), but they told me they can't check their inventory because they were in a different district/region. So I would have to bounce back and forth between centers to see what was available at alternate site. This is not easy or convenient for someone like me that lives on the line of two regions. When I arrived at the alternate location (Stoughton) the trailer was available and ready for pick-up. But due to a storm, the location did not have electrical power, which made check out a challenge. Staff there did the best they could under challenging conditions. Even though my original reservation was for a 4x8 trailer, I received a 5x8 trailer, and got charged for a 5x8 trailer. U-Haul should honor the 4x8 trailer rate, or should update their on-line system to be more accurate as to what equipment is available at which location.John K.
I regret that because of the customer service I and partly my fellow business associate received by the manager, it would be difficult for me to recommend this location to a friend. A formal complaint, case # 3454568 was filed with U-Haul Corporate customer service on the morning of October 25, 2021 and a second complaint after the manager at this Stoughton, MA location contacted me by telephone after learning of my complaint, I felt it necessary to file another complaint to Customer Service again. I have been waiting for a phone call promised by customer service from the regional manager of U-Haul to explain my concern and disappointment with this particular rental. Being a satisfied U-Haul customer for almost 50 years I have never had the need to ever file a complaint but unfortunately I felt it was imperative to share my unpleasant experience with this manager at 224 Washington Street, Stoughton, MA 02072. Excellent, helpful staff. Especially Sherrie, the manager. I had storage units at the Stoughton, MA location for more than 10 years. She has been the manager for at least 5-6 years of that time. Adrian was outstanding. He went above and beyond to get my hitch from another location when my order didn't come in. He was professional and courteous. The order process through the call center was a little frustrating. I was unable to answers and updates. Parts was supposed to be in by 15th for an install on 16th.When I called I was unable to get feedback until they contacted local store and they called back.ROBERT F.

When we returned the rented truck, the attendant acted as if we knew exactly where to park it and what to do. This was the first time we rented a truck in years - it would have been helpful if he had spent a little time directing us on that. He wasn't friendly and visibly agitated. Our original reservation was made for the Abington location. When we arrived in Abington there was no truck available for us. I want to thank the employees in Abington for doing their best to find us another truck at another location. They were courteous, friendly and super helpful.CHRISTOPHER P.
Moving is typically horrible and stressful but the experience at U-Haul made my situation better for sure. Clean and professional, the automated process is very streamline, my unit and truck rentals were ready and the process was seamless. There was also an associate, wasn't able to get his name but he had many tattoos, was so helpful and gave my direction where I needed. They tried every trick in the book to overcharge me. I will never rent from u haul again unless something is done ,this location is a den of thieves. If I didn't take photos to protect myself I would have been overcharged by hundreds of dollars. The woman at the desk was totally rude and dismissive. I had an horrific experience at U -Haul stoughton ma. I was given a defective truck , when I shut truck off it would not start again . Brought truck right back and was offered no help . When employees finally got in touch with manager she said she could offer no help the contract was signed now it was my responsibility! I spent 5 hours at the store waiting for my daughter was contacting anyone that could help us .Then after several hour my Daughter spoke w a district manager file # 2162880 she still could offer no help. Finally after 5 hours and a 3 hour wait for roadside they replaced battery! I think they should of offered a larger truck , when I finally reached my destination the gentleman there was very helpful ! He also told me that he would of handle my situation quite differently. The whole trip the check engine light remained on and found it difficult to climb hills the truck sputtering the whole way. I was a nervous wreck the whole trip , we lost a lot of time as well I feel that U-Haul should give me a reimbursement discount for the time lost as well as the manner of which I was treated , I was dismissed by the manager at Soughton Massachusetts, the employees could not offer help , the manager when consulted said once the contract was signed it's my responsibility. I disagree if you selling a service u should back up your contacts. I was told to call The corporate Office in ARIZONA TO MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT . I have been trying to reach them since customer service is a a20 min wait .DIANE R.

It would be better if customer service was on point. They lady Sherry was cutting me off when I tried to explain something to her. Made me feel like she was not trying to hear what I had to say. If I was wrong or not. Just some advice: The customer wants to be heard even if what their saying may not be right. Hear them out before you shoot them down and shut the customer down. Not ok! Take time to explain things don't just go in my order and switch things up. At least make the customer feel like you're trying to help them out. I spoke to Amanda over the phone (I believe she was the scheduling manager) in Abington or Arlington she helped with my order. She at least did better with explaining and she helped me look up a better drop off location.JESSICA B.

U-Haul does a terrible job in keeping your preferred area a priority. I scheduled a Sunday morning pickup in my local area 1,5 months prior only to receive a call 1 day before saying I need to drive 35 minutes for pickup and a Sunday evening (not morning) pickup. Very disappointing.DOMINIC S.

Very disappointed that I was inconvenience I had to go from Rhode Island to Massachusetts to pick up a U-Haul so I just been a hundred miles and travel time not to mention I had to still go ahead and move myself so that's over 200 miles. Sherry general manager, was gone very helpful but I wish she had told me that you could get additional you could request additional miles on without being charged I spoke with a customer service representative which told me that after the fact unfortunately. I really wish I could get reimbursed the miles I went over Sherry suggested I go with 80 miles so I said let's do an additional 100 miles just in case and I went over that it was 124 miles and I was charging additional 33,99 $ I am very very disappointed that I went to the time out and explained that you could request additional miles with no charge! I have called you the U-Haul Stoughton Mass several times and I still cannot get through to Sherry I called the same day I returned the truck which was Friday July 30th and also the following day Saturday July 31st and I still have not reached her!alexis P.
Adrian was amazing!!!!!! He did a great job installing my wiring harness. Many mechanics could not do the job due to my car being so new. Very skilled and professional looking!!!!! The check out process was easy using the 24/7 check out. The gas tank was not full. It was between 3/4 and full tank so when I had to return it, it was hard to put it back to where it was. It would've been easier if it was just full so I could just fill it back up at the end instead of trying to figure out exactly where it was.Ashley G.

I have been using U haul storage units in Stoughton, MA at different times for more than a decade. Sherrie, the manager at the Stoughton, MA facility, is always very helpful and always very professional. The rest of the staff there are also. The only complaint I have with U-Haul is the continued annual rise in unit cost. But that is a corporate decision and has nothing to do with my local experience.LINDA J. | Premières impressions

Everything is excellent. Not having the access hours right now with the pandemic is challenging on weekdays with work & my two & a half hour round trip commute. That only leaves me only a half hour before or after work which Iis not enough time to unload car & load into & out of storage unit. I do appreciate the facility being open late on Friday night.
