Why would you charge a HOLD on the truck 5 days after my reservation??

Brandon from Hunting Park location sent me to Ridge Avenue for a 15' truck after speaking with Atil from Ridge Avenue. I get to Ridge Avenue location, and they do not have the 15' truck that was promised to me. Atil then billed me for insurance, but never asked if I wanted the insurance. Atil moved like a turtle. It took almost an hour to get the truck. Atil also put me with a 9:15 return of the truck, but I did not get to the truck until close to 10:00 AM. Let me not forget, the gas cap was broke. The knob spins and spins, but does not lock. Today, 10/13/2020, I spoke to Martin Ingram who denied giving me a refund, and explained that I could complain, but he's the General Manager, and he will be the one to get the complaint. I asked for the name of Mr Ingram's supervisor, and he told me his supervisor was ‘customer service.' Also, I was told one lie after another by the parties involved, and nickel and dimed along the way. I will add that I donated the purchased boxes, because I used some that were donated. One good deed deserves another. That is the only good thing about U-Haul services that proved helpful. This was my first experience with U-Haul, but I never want to do business with them again. Traumatize is what U-Haul services will do to you. Poor is my ranking for my experience.

I can't say enough good things about Martin and his team -- I was very nervous about doing the auto tow but I knew right away that I was in good hand's when Martin started to set it up -- he was great and made me feel very confident about driving the uhaul with the auto tow. Everyone at this location was very nice when I was very stressed about my move - they were all patient and very helpful. I also really appreciated having the storage unit there, the ability to rent a dolly, and how clean and well-run the location was -- a real step up from other Uhaul locations I have used. In short -- I wish other businesses were as well run and I credit Martin for running this location so well. A good team starts at the top! I have already recommended this location to other residents at the building I left in Philly (The Isle) and told everyone how great u-haul was when they ask about my move. Thank you!

The Clerk had limited Custom Service skills. No smile, no eye contact, talk into the desk, did not enunciate her words, which made it difficult to understand what she was saying and I had to repeatedly ask her to repeat herself which seemed to annoy her.

This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I trusted U-Haul for my move and was 100% let down. For one, the storage unit I reserved was not available, so I was unable to store my belongings and ending up having to throw them out. I also booked moving help services through U-Haul and the movers never showed up. This was truly a nightmare.

Owner wasn't as friendly as I would have liked him to be. He didn't give clear directions on where to go to get the truck nor did he show me where to go to get it. I didn't like how he explained the insurance, I felt like he was trying to pressure me to buy the insurance. I also didn't like that he tried to shorten my 4 hours to 3 hours.

This has been the worse experience I have had with uhaul. After making the reservation over a month ago, I received a call a day before moving about not having a truck at my location of choice and had to travel close to 30min to a different location to pick up a truck that needed to be cleaned while I waited and not having all the equipment I had paid for. Wasted 1hr of my time while having limited time to move in center city philly.

The late night drop off fee should of been explained. I was surprised to find my account being charged an extra $22 for this fee. Not to mention, I missed the store closing by 5 mins. Had I known I would of saved $22 by showing up 5 mins earlier I would of done so.

I was not aware I wouldn’t have self storage access after hours when I first reserved my unit. Was very inconvenient having to take time off work to make sure I was at the facility before 4:30PM throughout the week. Other than that, great experience all around.

Terrible experience!!! My original location was awful and the rental looked like it wouldn't make it 2 feet, one tire had a hole in it, obviously no one looked at it the night before. I had to last minute cancel it and get another rental by myself - no assistance from location #1 = I would like Uhaul to send me a discount for a future rental or refund my existing rental.

When we arrived (9:30 a.m. on a Saturday) the line for pick up was extremely long. I would suggest having extra help during the busy times. We waited about 30 minutes in line.

I had a reservation for a van to pick up from another location (4857 Chestnut St) but they refused to give me the van and thet y referred me o this location. Because of this 1hr delay I lost one hour of a mover. Terrible experience.

The address does not take you to the entrance of the U-Haul and this made it difficult to enter the location. I had to drive down some side streets to turn around and circled a couple of times to get in off the busy road, not knowing exactly where to go.

The staff is great. Atil is every helpful and does great customer service. The manager Martin is also great. Haven’t had any bad experiences yet, but wish they were open longer or had access after hours. Closing at five can be hard to get things done especially on weekends.

My reservation was changed without my knowledge to 2 days later which caused a big confusion in the morning delaying my move about 3 hours until you could find me a new truck which was a smaller truck than I originally ordered which ultimately lead to having to take multiple trips and being charged a late fee by my landlord for not being out on time. Would not recommend using Uhaul again.

I wish that U-Haul reservations actually reserved you the truck and location that you asked for. Calling me the night before my move at 7pm to tell me that you only have a tiny truck available and it is not at the location I need it at is extremely upsetting. Not only did it disrupt my entire moving plan, but it meant that I will now have to rent a second truck at a later date to move the remainder of my items that would not fit in the tiny truck they gave me. This is going to cost me additional hundreds of dollars and is completely unacceptable. I cannot understand why uhaul even offers the option of a reservation when in reality it does not “reserve” you anything. Will absolutely not be using uhaul again in the future.

they were doing construction to improve their facility, which is fine, but the office was not where the signs indicated and there was no one around initially to help. I found someone and from there it was fine. I would recommend this facility after the construction is complete.

This location was really great. The man working (Atil) was so friendly and his kindness made up for the fact that U-Haul never called to tell us that they changed the location of our pick up without telling us, and we didn't find out until we got there.

Moving is always a stressful time for a family. However when that same family is homeless it makes things a hundred times worst. Rented an truck from them and brought it back with the same gas that was in there I was told that I had to pay $100 more. Also in the middle of my moving my truck broke down and I had to wait 3 hours
