U-Haul reservations said they would upgrade me to a bigger trailer at no extra cost. Waited over an hour at the pickup location for someone in reservations to verify the upgrade. Right hand needs to talk to the left. If I didn't need the trailer immediately, I would have walked out.

I did an online rental for a 5x8 enclosed trailer to transport a specific piece of equipment. When I arrived on site, the specified trailer was not on the lot, all they had a 4X8 and I needed to get this equipment picked up and delivered to my client. I decided to take the trailer in the hope that I would be able to make this work. The equipment was 2" to wide to fit. I returned the trailer within 2 hours and explained to the U Haul sales person the above information, but was charged for the trailer. I don't understand why I was charged for U Haul's inability to have the correct trailer on site.....

I was quoted wrong price and given wrong receipt. The lady that helped me was very rude, walked away from me twice and didn't tell me what she was doing just got up and left, twice! The second time she left I just told her I was in a hurry and she then proceeded to take her sweet time. I ended up leaving without a resolution. Horrible customer service! She said since I disputed the bill I would never be able to rent from Uhaul again, if I have to deal with rude people and horrible service I am happy to never use Uhaul again! I was sent out with a trailer that did not have functional marker lights. I pointed it out to the worker and he said it wasn’t needed because the tail lights worked. I got pulled over for the lights not working and had to overnight which threw my schedule off completely and caused me to get home late yesterday. It also cost me a night in a hotel. Very poor service from this location. If the workers do t know the laws they should not be allowed to check people out.

I reserved a larger truck, was called and told it was not available and had to go to another location farther away, had to make two trips and drive farther to the location. No discount was offered, even after asking. Otherwise, the experience was good.

I chose a location that was opened later so I could get a later pick up. I understand that is 'preferred' location. So they updated my pick up location to a place that closed earlier. When I called that location to see if they would stay open a few minutes later I was told to find a different location that had a 5x8 trailer. Then I got an email saying my pick up location had been changed again. When I went to pick up, the lady said she didn't have our trailer there. When asked what we do next, she told me to go find another location. But instead we asked about getting a different trailer which we ended up renting. The lady was very rude. While hooking up the trailer we looked over and there was human POOP on the ground beside a U-Haul truck! No lie! We showed it to a couple staff but no one cleaned it up in the 2 hours we were there. Also, I didn't have the right light connector and no one there knew what I needed to do or how to change it. I literally had to call my mechanic and have him come to the location after he got off work. But the people there had no idea what was going on. Then they charged me $202 for the trailer with insurance but they did not tell me they were also charging me a $60 deposit. Oh, and when I got to my storage location (not uhaul) I notice that my clothes were wet and a couple boxes were wet. We went thru a storm. Guess the u haul trailers aren't made to keep water out.

This is the worst experience I have ever had! My truck reservation was canceled and transferred to another location that didn’t have the equipment available. I couldn’t pick up the van until the day after I originally needed it. Which required an extra day reservation. U-Haul was extremely uncooperative helping resolve the issue and I will make sure that I never come back to them when I have moving needs in the future.

After spending a week to travel accross the country and trying to return the trailer at several different locations, I finally found one to accept it. The staff was incredibly rude. I was told that I had to pay another $400 on top of what I had already paid. I told them I clarified with the other office. Very rudely and unprofessionally, I was told to call them and settle it. I called, was transfered to someone nice at the Richmond office who then transfered me to someone else in customer service. They were very rude and condescending. After explaining the situation for 45 minutes, I finally just gave up and paid the $400. I will probably never use UHAUL again because of this first experience being bad again and again. This is not the first time I have heard of serious issues. It would be nice to at least get some money refunded, but doubt that will happen after talking to the employees.

Drove 10 minutes, turned around due to heavy rain hail and thunder and lightening, told them I want to reschedule and they said too bad if you drive it you buy it.$80 for ten minutes drive time. Then they said it came back with less miles than when I left?!?!?! Hahaha what??? They made it seem like maybe I messed with the milage. Absolutely ridiculous, bunch of morons. Will not do business with these guys again!

Everything was great except the gal in Denver/Boulder delivering the pod called the wrong contact number multiple times and could not answer my questions. EVERYTHING before and after this was really great. This was a first time with a pod, so I had a lot of questions and everyone else was very helpful. I certainly would use this service again.

I set up a rental over the phone with a truck for 48 hrs. when arrived it was only a 12hr reservation. I requested any larger truck but was informed that nothing was available. The only vehicle available was a 10 ft but desperately needed a ramp for this move. This caused major setbacks that caused multiple trips and an extended day of rental. Regardless of moving stress, not being able to receive the truck reserved, explanation of how now truck was able to be rented from another location, or zero help from this location to reduce cost of rental minus a 15 mile comp caused this review to be poor.

This whole process was a nightmare from the beginning. We were sent to the wrong facility to pick up the box and then told our box would be delivered to a facility and our movers would be there to pick it up. That facility was closed and Customer Service told us it was OUR problem and we needed to figure out how to get our storage box delivered. I have tried for a week for someone to resolve my dispute and give me answers and that has yet to happen. Do not use UHaul for your moving needs, period. I will be contacting the BBB and filing a complaint.

I purchased boxes from this location and was so switched off because of the language and service attitude of the associates and Assistant Manager , I asked that I didn’t pick up my trailer there. So of course that is where my trailer ended up being sent. The second experience was better but the language the manager used was completely unprofessional. Everyone, even the guy hooking up my trailer dropped the f bomb several times. Switched off guys. seriously.

My U-Box arrived with the lock open and broken. I locked it myself so someone messed with it. It appears everything was still there but 4 of the storage tubs inside were broken. Even though the moving helper I hired to deliver the box to my new home had set up and verified a time with the local storage facility the U-Haul facility refused to honor it and forced a one day delay.

Mobile check-in isn't convenient, it's frustrating. To confirm my identity you require more documents than the DMV. As an Uber driver they confirm my identity by taking a photo of my face and comparing that to my driver's license, why isn't that enough for you? Instead you need a passport (don't have), my employer (self employed), copy of my lease (don't get that until moving day), or an additional contact (a phone number for you to call doesn't guarantee security, it only confirms that I'm resourceful since I can pay any person on the street to say what I ask). The information I provided at registration should suffice. Additionally a confirmation email should only include information that I'm expecting to see, it should not include new and previously unknown information about the registration process - like the additional documents you were requesting at THE time of my pickup.

My original truck reservation was at the 80th & Federal store, I received the confirmation email for a 17' truck but when I went to pick it up it was not available, there were other people that had reserved trucks that were not there either!!!! All we could get was an apology and told us to go to the 7540 York St location, York St wouldn't even answer their phone to verify they even had one available. So we had to go out of our way to this location and rent a 15' truck because that's the largest they had. They didn't even have my current info in their system from when I when to rent the truck, they had my 2013 information in their system. The guy who gave us the truck never verified the odometer, the dolly seal was broken and the truck had no blankets and was dirty. I was so stressed when I got there I didn't check either. So we had to spend extra money on mileage and gas to take the truck to where I should have gotten it in the first place. The truck was on a 1/4 tank of gas so we had to fill it up just to get it back to the 80th & Federal location to load it up. When I returned the truck we had to wait in line of 4 people while only one person was at the counter helping people it took so long they had to lock the doors because they went past closing. The only positive thing was they didn't charge me for the blankets that were not there and the dolly with no seal. This was the worst U-Haul experience I have ever had, I won't be using U-Haul again.

I was supposed to return the truck on 7/8 full but my estimate of gas put it close to the full line...so I thought I would at least be credited some on my final bull but they didn't even offer to credit some $. Also when we left the parking lot the miliage was 16161 but the paper said 16160- but we were still charged for the 1 extra mile. These types of things reflect the integrity of the owners of the company...which apparently is to just make $ at the customers expense and not focus on honesty toward the customer.

This is not the U-Haul location at which my furniture was stored. The furniture was originally stored at the Park Hill U-Haul (Billy), and I am very happy with the quality and price of the storage. Billy runs a good U-Haul business. The movers were Steven (Hollan?) and Brett and they kept in good communication with me on delivery day and did an outstanding job of first dealing with a loading error and later that afternoon they returned to unload the 2nd U-Haul pod. They later told me that Mile High City U-Haul) (I believe it was) was able to fix the loading error right away and were very helpful in doing it. Overall, the storage and delivery service I received from U-Haul was excellent.

Initially my trailer hitch connection on the pickup I was using wasn't working. I ended up having U-Haul install a new connection which they did. It would have been better if they had suggested that to begin with and I could have saved some time and the price was very good as well.

We could not believe the lack of quality of service at this location. There was six inches of snow and ice (it hadn't snowed for days) that we had to walk through to get into the storage container.

What a great Uhaul location. I choose this one because of the bad reviews for the 80th & Federal location. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. My only concern was that we showed up at 6:30 to return it and the doors were locked. Were told by some nice men to just leave the keys in the box and would be good. Would have liked to officially checked in, but it worked out.

I understand that the milage estimate they give you is an estimate. However, when they are off by over a hundred dollars that's not a bad guess that's someone trying to either screw you over or is terrible at their job. Manager was rude. Van we rented was currently being lived out of by an employee. All in all really bad experience.

Overcharged $66.85 twice (2 times) for storage I did not use. Boxes delivered to Windsor on Aug. 24 and picked up on Aug 25. $137.44 was charged for delivery which is fine. Need refund please.
