The air conditioner in the truck was not working properly, the furniture dolly we rented had wheels that constantly stuck and was not usable. The truck smelled like marijuana

Moving is pretty dang stressful and that was just a huge relief to have available if needed. Not to mention the extraordinary staff in Florence. PAUL GLana was very helpful in getting me set up and also to find me a drop off point to where I was going. Customer service was excellent.
Jesse SI had a fairly easy pickup experience, but the drop off experience was a little different. Upon arriving at the location I pulled into the spot for returns with no other trucks or tailors in front of me as I waited for 5 mins no staff was seen to check the vehicle at the drop off location i entered the main office waited in line for a couple minutes while the worker finished with a guest in front of me only to be told they will take care of you out side no workers were in site as i stood by the truck i had rented an off duty employee told me just to drop the truck and they would check it in i did so after waiting for 6+ hours for the confirmation email to be sent for my final billing i had to call in to receive that info. Pick up process was very easy a little difficult with the drop off process.
Jacob RThe only problem I had with the drop off is that it was the wrong location. I had to go about 15 miles out of the way. I reserved the correct location and when I got the receipt it was changed. I could not get any assistance to correct it.

The installer had to jump my car off before I left. We both thought it had to do with leaving the switch on for a while. Again, an easy mistake. I tightened and no more issues. I would still rate the installer high!

Melvin HThe store manager, Lana, is one of the most professional managers I've seen anywhere. She was juggling a challenging situation with another customer and provided him with options and clear explanations to help him. While doing that she was kind and in control. She then worked wit us like nothing was going on and gave us individualized attention to address all of our questions. All of her team was equally helpful and greeted everyone. This manager and crew are absolutely the best!

MICKEY LIt's an average UHaul rental place, two people working, did their best. If you get a truck make sure the ramp is installed so you don't have to drive back to get another truck.
Daniel BGranted, this was the last 15' truck available today, so it wasn't going to be the best. it had 180 000 miles and you could feel every one of them! The muffler was shot, the suspension pulled to the left and the brakes pulled to the right (lots of fun when that was discovered), I don't know when it last had a tune up but I expect it wasn't this decade. Your people were great, I love my storage room, but next time I'll look elsewhere for a truck.

herb tI rented the trailer on behalf of the company for which I currently work to be able to move equipment. Your corporation can go to hell for all I care in and of itself. Red bar means nothing to me. Especially since I told the receiving location of the equipment that it would be later in the week before the equipment was returned. Incompetence must be a job requirement to be employed by U-Haul.

Keith H | Expérience généraleThey need to make sure the trailers are better well kept because the locking mechanism kept jamming on me and it was really rusted. Being that it also hooks up to your vehicle putting light in the trailer as others do such as Penske would be helpful when loading at night. Other than that it was wonderful would always refer to the Florence location for storage and U-Haul needs.
Tara PCharged me $309 for a $20 uhaul and every time I call to fix it they have done nothing!! Do not use uhaul unless you want to lose money!! If it wasn't for that everything would of been perfectly fine!!

Jim PI said yes and the equipment was great but the check in process was bad to return the truck was worse. It's was cold and 1 30 in the morning...my choice...but you have to take specific pictures and when you click to do that it closes the app and you have to start over and it says error about 5x when the pictures are finally accepted it shuts off again and says error. Very frustrating. When I got the truck the lock didn't work with the code and someone had to come help. It took about 20 min to get the truck and almost 45 to return it. They should tell you everything you need to return it so you could be prepared. Other than that I'm thankful you can rent a truck after hours and the location and people were amazing!

I didn't know I was supposed to call someone and tell him it was cleaned out. I talked to the manager the next day and she said that the housekeeper had let her know that morning that it was cleaned out. But we still got charged for a month. She said that it was electronically done at midnight but it showed on my invoice and receipt that it was done at 10:50 AM on Friday 11-20 4-23. I am not happy about this at all because I am having a rough time like a lot of other people are right now. So I will not recommend this place to anyone. Merci.

Carol W | Premières impressionsThe online sign up process was a bit confusing because I wanted to sign my husband up to have access to the unit, but it would not allow me to put the same address as mine. I wound up not adding him because of this, then when he went to the unit, he was not allowed access. It was a difficult ordeal! The attendant there said to add his name, but put a slightly different address, like add a 0,5 to our address. THIS MAKES NO SENSE!!! Members of the same household should be able to have access to storage unit using same home address.

Your staff professional and always eager to help. Thank you for a great experience and we will continue to recommend your Florence Blvd facility, the Wood Road Facility and your facility in Sheffield, Alabama. The only facility that could be better bc of a one man crew is Florence, Blvd....the gentleman that works there is overworked and needs assistance. He maintains a great asset to this company but it's wearing him down running the entire store. Thank you for a great experience!

I lost all of my belongings some of them were very sentimental and personal items and I wish I would have been given the option to at least keep those but I wasn't offered that choice. Lana stutts was not willing to work with me even though I informed her about me being out of work and I offered to pay past due balance on my first paycheck.

I go into work before they open and get off after they close so I cannot go up there either. They also do not have their own phone number to get in touch with them. I emailed multiple times as well with no response. This resulted in neither of us being able to get in touch with the other and they sold all of my belongs.

They go beyond in accommodating the customers, knew me by name within a very few visits and have been more than fair in their dealings with me. The general manager Lana WILL bring business to both the storage and the U-Haul rental. She has excellent business skills but also excellent people skills and that will make such a difference in drawing business in. I would recommend them to anyone!

The second I did in store, it was a nightmare! 1st they gave me a unit that was full of somebody's belongings. They moved me to an empty unit but didn't put it in the computer so it kept getting locked out for nonpayment from the previous owner. When I moved out of it the guy told me that they had rented it to a guy 2 days before I moved out!

Only wish that the unit had 24/7 access for convenience sake as I work night shift but not a huge deal. Also to note, the staff at the facility and their actions to help get me acclimated and moved in we're fantastic. Best part by far. Keep those people.

Wasted 4 hours of my time trying to get it all sorted out and had to be late for work the following day due to all of the issues. That was $50 of my time as well. No satisfied with my experience at all.

When she first walked up, we were apparently trying to get into the storage area through the wrong door. (Not marked as after hours door only). She wasn't in uniform and came across as a rude, know it all, pot stirring customer. After she put on uniform, she wasn't much better. Her tone is very off putting. Her customer service skills were poor. Not sure if she's actually meaning to be that rude or if she is. Also, we brought a lock from home and we're told we had to use a certain kind for the unit and had to buy one there. Needs access from back of facility to access back units. We were told they had to rent the ones in the back first. Unloading a HUGE uhaul was extremely tiring alone but then having to carry or push everything from the front door, past empty units, to the very last row made it even more so.

The units are very clean and the safety that is built into each individual unit is impressive ! I feel my items are safe in their storage unit !
