Check in took 20 minutes then was asked the same questions I had already answered via the online check in. When I asked Nicholas why he was asking the same questions he had no answer for me. One of the check in photos of the trucks front end bumper was old, not current. I was charged $7.00 for a utility dolly that I did not use. It was still tie wrapped to the truck when the truck was returned, I'll need a refund for that please...

The wait time to check in was ridiculous. Only two agents working and there should have been three on a weekend. The online system was confusing and combursome. It asked to create an account and the picture ID portion didn't work and the agent had to use his own phone to process my drivers license. The agents were friendly. Not enough parking to leave your vehicle.

The online reservation system was easy and efficient. I liked that I was able to complete most paperwork on line. It would have been nice if I could have completed all of the paperwork online. The staff at the rental center were all courteous and got me in and out quickly.

I received a missed call the day before my reservation date. No voicemail was left. I had reserved a 15 foot truck for Saturday at 8am. At 7:27am of Saturday morning, I received a voicemail stating that there was not a 15 foot truck available and they were working on a solution. I called back a few minutes later and waited on hold for 15 minutes. The lady who answered was not at the Uhal location, but offered me a truck at 2pm in cities that were 10-20 miles away. I had people coming at 9 to help me move, and 2pm was not going to work. After several minutes of talking, she was able to find a 10 foot truck at 2pm in Tustin, my original reservation location. I took that, though told her I may have to cancel because I didn't have help at that time. The Tustin location then called me back and said they had a 10 foot truck for me at that time. They were very apologetic and did their best to accommodate my needs. Since the truck was small, I had to make two trips instead of one. It was a bit stressful to have that happen the morning of my move. I would have appreciated a voicemail the night before, and a direct number to call and talk with the manager at the location of my reservation. I do appreciate that I was refunded $50, but I won't likely be using the Tustin Uhal location again, as a similar situation happened last time I reserved a truck.

I was at a severe lack of two things for my recent move from Irvine to Santa Cruz: money and time. Uhaul wasted both of these resources for me in copious amounts. The equipment, that I had reserved in advance and double checked would be there again 48 hours before my move, was suddenly unavailable to me. I received a phone call, the night before I was to pick up my truck and trailer first thing in the morning, informing me that there was no trailer for me at that location or any location within an hour drive. They informed me that if I wanted the trailer, not only would I have to still pick up my truck at their location in Tustin, but that I would also have to pick up the trailer at a location in Los Angeles (an hour away, more in traffic...) and then return to Irvine to pack my things before having to drive north again for my eventual moving destination of Santa Cruz. This effectively added about 100 miles and more than three hours to my moving day. I would not be compensated in any way, although the uhaul agent did say they could add more time to my default 3 days with the truck, which in no way addressed the problem or the number of other problems this created. Had I not argued with the uhaul representative in Los Angeles, I would have also ended up having to pay to twice as much for the trailer as I was quoted. No matter, though, because in the end the extra gas and miles and hours that this cost me would make this move much more expensive anyway. Uhaul would offer no apologies, no compensation for my botched reservation, and no compassion or help during an extremely difficult time. This was a terrible and stressful experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone, and I would strongly discourage my friends from going this route and trusting uhaul with their next move. I know that I won't.

Disappointed. Been renting from this location for how many years now. The van was not cleaned and the interior smells bad. Never had issues like this before. Don't know how service is managed like this.

When returning truck is better to just drop off keys but not going online to return it, it is confusing, and you have to download app, takes time. It is just better to drop off keys after business hours and be done.

I was told my appointment for pickup was at 8:00, but when I arrived the location did not open until 9:00. So I got to sit around and wait for an hour, then wait behind 6-7 other people and I got a very late start on my move. I was pretty upset.

Better sign to get into Tustin UHaul. It was confusing

I started by rental, showing the gas gauge as 1/4 quarter filled. As I was returning the truck, I was alerted that the gas tank is near empty. It stated that I have 40 miles to drive prior to running out of gas. According to paperwork, when the Gage is an empty, I need to fill out 10 gallons, To get to the one quarter filled tank which was by starting points. After filling up 10 gallons,The gas gauge showed that I was at between one quarter and one half filled. In the future, I will watch the gas gauge, when filling up the tank, to original 1/4 quarter , to ensure that I did not overfill, beyond what was originally in the truck. Sorry for my mistake. I reserved this trailer several weeks early and I was told that I might have to pick it up elsewhere. During emails to me, U-Haul mentioned it was a busy time and they were not sure they could meet my needs. What does that mean? I reserved and paid for the trailer. Shouldn't I expect a trailer at the date I requested? (I took time off from work to make this move.) Eventually it wasn't a problem but why would you say that?

Well that would be difficult: We traveled from Orange County, CA to Chattanooga, TN...we had a new 26' truck with only 50 miles on it (brand new); we towed our car with a tow dolly also brand new. Great rig - absolutely no problems - staff on both ends of the trip were excellent!!! - The best road moving trip that can be. THANK YOU ALL! WE FELT SAFE - SUPPORTED AND RECEIVED GREAT EASY CHECK IN CHECK OUT - IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT! GREAT JOB BY ALL!

Service onsite during pick up and drop off was 5-star excellent. Making the reservation by phone was painful. 37 minutes!!! The onsite representative during my pick up suggested I try to reserve online next time, so kudos she was solutions oriented. But 37 minutes by phone - really? Hire more people to answer the phone please. Thank you.

I want to give Sarah at this location a mention because she saved the day for us! We received incorrect information from another rep and based our reservation on it. When we called to confirm Sarah was able to fix the issue and went above and beyond to get us moved in! We thought we were going to have to park our truck full of belongings somewhere once we arrived and hope they weren’t stolen but Sarah got us all set up with a unit and even after leaving the office she sent us information to get us all set up for after hours move in. She deserves a huge kudos and a raise!
