The one thing that delayed my truck pickup was your App. I wa that setup to do the pickup vÃa my phone. I arrived within the time allowed to do the pickup, started the process at the Uhaul parking lot and the app changed my pickup to be done at the counter. Now, I had to wait until the office opened. Was issued a trailer a few weeks ago and I found dried blood and meat chunks inside while the guy was hooking it up. Good another trailer instead. The guy outside hooking up trailer is always nice and helpful. The guy inside was falling asleep while helping me. He was like that last time I was there for a rental too. For a start, you could actually provide the equipment ordered and put it on the truck as reserved -- pads, dollys, whatever. Use the same locking method for the truck that you use for key access. This is not a difficult thing to ask, when you are allowing for mobile pickup after hours.Peter Z.

When I received my invoice it was more than what was originally signed off for, understandably as I did return the truck a lil after my Scheduled drop off but nothing of the new charges explained on my invoice or the reasoning for the new price. Was overcharged for fuel. I received a verbal communication from the person who checked in my return vehicle for the odometer reading and the fuel level gauge. Was told everything was good to go. I then received an added charge of 3 gallons of fuel on my final statement. I called customer service and spent over 95 minutes explaining the situation. It was now a matter of principle and not the added charge. Customer service was horrible and in the end told me that their workers do not make mistakes. They could not provide any physical evidence that my claims were not true. I will never deal with this location EVER again.Joe L.

When I arrived on Sunday the unit and the truck were not available. I specifically went in on Saturday to be sure everything would be smooth on Sunday i made a reservation with the young lady working on Sat Sept 27. I am writing this review to reflect the U-Haul at True Value. That is where I ordered my truck. The cargo van was so filthy we couldn't take it. The back was filled with a. White substance all over! And the entire van smelled like manure! I told the customer service and they told me to talk to the man inside who said he'd clean it but obviously I didn't have time to wait for that. So they sent me to this location on S 1st street for another vehicle. South 1st street location was just fine. Very friendly and fully stocked. Thank you S 1st street. I've rented a U-Haul 3 times in the past 4 months and I ALWAYS have a problem. I don't understand how one company can be so bad! I'll definitely be looking for alternatives next time. And please don't insult me with a month free of storage.Christina V.

Checkout was not good. Drop off driveway way full to the road. No signs or anything saying what to do. I had to go into the exit to get the truck back into the lot. At that point i looked at my watch and it was 5:02 so the doors to the facility were locked. I tried to get someone attention but they ignored me. Then as I was trying to figure out what to do with the truck and how to processes the return, one of the employees came out. I asked what to do and he dismissively said â€œjust park it anywhere and use the mobile app.â€ They he just continued to walk away. The mobile app took over 20 min to go through because I kept gettin error messages. It was not a pleasant experience.James M.

The 10ft truck they rented me was missing a right rearview mirror. I had to stay in the right lane the entire time and even then I was taking some risks getting over without seeing what was along side of me. The only reason I agreed to take the truck in the first place was because I needed to move that day and had no other option. I reserved a 15ft truck to begin with but when I showed up they said they had none left and that the 10ft was all I could choose from. What A Joke.Alec D.

To Whom It May Concern, When I called and held our reservation for a U-Haul POD, we chose the date: Sunday, July 31. Twenty-four hours prior, we were told the truck would come in between the hours of 10:30am and 12:30pm. We had people arrive at our apartment to help us load the pod at 10:45. After three phone calls, and after being told the delivery people were running late, the pod showed up at 1:50pm. Initially, when I held the reservation, I told the customer service that I would need the pod in Los Angeles sometime around the 4th of August. However, we did not yet know the exact address of the apartment during the initial phone calls. I eventually called back with the address and told them again that we need it there by the 6th of August this time (and not August 4th). When we looked at our online reservation, it said the pod was to be delivered on Saturday, August 13th, seven days after our arrival. I attempted to change the date online as I was told I could edit my reservation at any time I needed. This did not work out. I called U-Haul and eventually spoke to someone who told me that they saw that the reservation was on there for the 13th, but that the pod was guaranteed by August 9th with a guaranteed drop off date of August 9th and that I didn't have to worry. So I didn't. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, I called U-Haul for an update and, again, I was told August 9th. On August 8th, 24 hours in advance, I still had not received a text saying when the POD would arrive. I called U-Haul to find that a truck broke down and our POD would not be delivered until August 13th. They could provide us with no further details. We literally ran out of clean clothes to wear as the remainder of our clothing was inside the the pod. The next day, we checked our reservation online and saw that the pick-up address was not our apartment in Los Angeles, but the storage facility in Los Angeles. I quickly called U-Haul and was told that they were informed that we were going to pick up our belongings from the warehouse. This was never said to anyone and it is deeply unclear who received and passed along that incorrect information. I even called U-Haul customer service with the apartment address over a month in advance! Eventually, after being placed on hold for quite a long time, we were told that they could probably schedule us for August 11th to drop off the POD between 3:00-5:00pm, but they would call us in advance to let us know what time. On August 10th, we were told the POD would arrive for sure somewhere between 3:00-5:00pm. The POD did not come between the hours of 3 and 5pm. We received no communication from U-Haul about this. Hours and hours and at one point, no one U-Haul knew where the drivers were, and, there was not an update in the computer system according to the customer service rep I spoke to. I only received information when I went out of my way to contact U-Haul's customer service, yet again, and was told there was no update in the computer system so no one knew where our driver was. As 7:30pm rolls around, the POD is still not here and the scheduling department is now closed. I called the 1-800 number for customer service and they could not tell me anything aside from saying that, on occasion, delayed PODS will still get delivered really late at night. Our POD finally arrived a few minutes before 10:00pm â€" 5,5 hours after said delivery time with no communication about delays or arrival time in between. I acknowledge that the truck breakdown is not anyone's fault and Covid has posed difficulties for workers. However, this experience has not been acceptable, has greatly lacked reliable customer communication, and we are due some money returned to us. Pauline HastyPauline H.

My husband was smacked in the face with the tow hitch while at the drop off location, during business hours. While dropping off the tow dolly early in order to more easily unload the truck, there was a staff member in the return equipment line. After WE, my husband and I, unhooked the vehicle (with some minor help from the staff due to one of the metal chains, placed by the uhaul person at the pick up location, being stuck), the staff member instructed me to back off the tow dolly, after confirming that I was clear to back up, i began to back the car off the tow dolly and the tow hitch popped up and hit my husband solid in the face. The staff member was standing directly next to him and was watching him. Why did the staff member not warn him to back away or just tell me to wait until my husband was clear of the area? My husband now has loose teeth and likely a facial scar. He is lucky he didn't knock put any teeth or chip them and/or break any bones in his face. The staff was only minorly concerned about the welfare of my husband after the incident. Why was staff not more involved in the return of the equipment? We had to do everything ourselves including unhooking the metal chains, to undoing the ratchet straps, and extending the ramp to drive off the tow dolly. The only thing the staff did was roll the tow dolly out of the was after our vehicle was off the tow dolly and minor help with the stuck metal chain. The tow dolly was also taken off during business hours and we later dropped off the truck after hours following all of the steps outlined. We were told that there would be no issue with dropping of the tow dolly early and the truck to follow. I am just waiting for the staff to not check in the tow dolly. We would love to contact this store directly, but ALL phone numbers lead us to the main uhaul menu, which takes hours to get to the "correct" person, which is not on site at the storage center. The customer service system is terrible as well. The system does not nessicarily get you to the correct representative even if you follow the prompts correctly.Kimberly P. | Premières impressions

First, our designated building had no carts for us to use. Second, The staff gave me a unit that already had a lock placed on it. I called for help, waited 20 mins, but was on a tight schedule so went to start moving things in. They left because "no one was there" - we called them to come back and remove the lock, while we waited we everything into that unit. When they finally arrived, they said they couldnt help me. She gave me the wrong unit and I needed to move everything to a new unit and n a completely different building. This not only made the already stressful moving experience more stressful, but it wasted about 2 hours of our time and energy because of the staff error and lack of attention to the issue when it occurred. For the trouble of moving everything a SECOND time, they said they would give me a free month of rent and we agreed. When I went to verify the free month they said they will actually only give me 20 % off, but couldn't verify that this actually happened. Overall, very poor service and attention to detail. I can't confirm if I have actually received anything back for the issues but I wanted to communicate to this to hopefully avoid this issue for anyone else. After already moving into a unit, it is unacceptable to make someone move again. The issue should have been caught and remedied immediately, hopefully it will for future patrons! The facility didn't seem to be very clean. We visited our storage unit several times within two weeks and the same garbage that was laying there when we got there was still laying there outside the storage facility when we left. Also at the doorway there seemed to be an accumulation of a lot of garbage people might've just left there. My husband said the bathrooms were disgusting. I've rented from Uhaul for every single move. This was the first year that I experienced such poor customer service. From the truck I had requested not being available day of (and the staff struggling to think of a solution for over half an hour) to my storage room move out not being processed for over a month. I was sent emails and mail threatening to put a lien on property in the storage unit despite moving out on the 11th of November. I tried calling the Walker's Point location multiple times and was always redirected to the Corporate number. Customer service reps for Corporate sent the Walker's Point location emails to tell them to get in contact with me, but they never did. Finally, I got a final bill yesterday reflecting my move out within the free month, no mention of late fees or anything. I assume it is because the staff finally took the time to actually go to my unit and see that it was cleaned out and empty. I will not be using Uhaul in Milwaukee for future moves. The only good thing you have going for you is being cheaper, but I would gladly pay more money to avoid the headaches I experienced this time around.Madeline O. | Expérience générale

Staff is very unprofessional. Don't talk to your customers like they are your friends. Be compassionate when someone presents a problem to you, instead of acting annoyed that you have to follow up, respond to customers emails in a timely manner, allow customers to call the actual store itself if they need support. Found a roach on my belongings (how often are you exterminating?) Also, was charged for the month of December even thought my belongings were removed before the end of November. Spoke to the manager who said he would take care of it, still waiting for my refund…Just overall a ghetto experience. Getting the truck was fine, but the storeage location was a problem. 1st they rented me a store that was already rented. I didn't find out til we were there with a truck full and couldn't unload. Then they switched the rooms but I had to get a smaller room. From 10x15 to 10x10. Then I go with 2nd load and the card doesn't work on it's after hours so I had to keep the truck overnight for another night to have the card fixed so I can get into unload the truck.
