3 employees stood around while one gal hustled her butt off. (She did an excellent job, and she's the reason for 2/5 stars rather than 1/5.) My rental was booked and confirmed for 2/21, pickup at 530. They failed to leave the keys for me, so my family came to help me move and had to turn around. Inconvenience and delayed everything I have going on in my life. I spoke to the call center when the missing keys didn't make sense. Ariana confirmed that because the rental is guaranteed, and wasn't fulfilled on the reservation date, I would have $50 credit. They proceeded to charge my credit card After I spoke with them inside to confirm they would Not charge my card. If U-Haul didn't have a stronghold on renting vehicles, I would absolutely never use U-Haul again. Unfortunately, you do, and I probably will have to.

I used U-Haul for the primary purpose of renting a van to move my son from Neenah to Port Washington. That went well. I then utilized free rental of a storage space for a 7-8 days before we could move my son into his new living space. The staff encountered technical difficulties and my given code and later a card did not work to gain access to the space. Then after we moved out of the space, after informing the attendant of moving out, I later got late notices for not paying for the next month. After sending an e-mail to the individual who sent me the notice with a copy of the ending of the storage rental, I got another notice regarding a lien on the items in storage (which was none). This time I called to complain and it was then taken care of. Also, at times, staff were away from the front desk for extended periods of time such that I could no longer wait.
The facility was nice but the office staff was not very friendly. Moving in was easy but moving out was extremely difficult due to the building maintenance; the staff was not accommodating or helpful in this situation.
My experience started off bad, as the staff member known as JJ, put his information in as emergency contact. I originally had a unit that was to small, I changed it the same day for a bigger unit. My movers notified me that same day that they had put some things in the smaller unit and at this time the office was closed. I wasn't able to gain access to the unit. I spoke with the "then manager" David he stated JJ could get me into the unit, since it had a lock and a note stating access was denied for none payment of rent, which David said the cleaning crew had put on. JJ stated he couldn't get me in because he had never seen the kind of lock and they didn't have a key. I continued to stop in and also call David and was told the unit had been rented and no one knew where my thing's were. I spoke to the off site representatives several times also and got no results. I spoke to the "new" manager Elgin regarding my thing's and no results. I also spoke with Elgin regarding a leaking pipe outside my unit that was to be checked on. When I began to move my thing's out I again inquired about my thing's and was told by the "new" manager Joe that I would have to file a police report. After moving my thing's out I called and was connected to an off site representative, and explained that there was damage to my couch from the pipe that I was attempting to try and use the move out online feature and wasn't able to, and I also sent a message from the site to the "now" manager Joe and got no response. She stated she would send a message also and I explained I had been trying to reach the office regarding the leaking and the damage, was told I would have to speak to the office and I explained I wasn't able to get through any time I called. The representative transferred me to customer care and I still never spoke with anyone. This has been my only option to express my concerns fully and it has been 5 day's since leaving the email for the manger and 4 day's since the off site representative sent her message. My overall experience was horrible after 16 months of storing my thing's and the continued staff turn over and no results regarding my concerns.
I was given a free month of storage for two units because they didn’t have 1 unit big enough for what I needed it for. That was helpful and I was grateful. However, I found later that I didn’t need the units so I called and cancelled them. I was assured that it was cancelled. I started receiving letters about owing the facility. I called several more times and also showed up in person twice and was assured that both units were cancelled by the manager. I still continue to receive calls. Ridiculous!
Very disappointed at the end. In October I asked that I be taken off of automatic pay. I paid for October and November. In December we emptied out the locker first thing in the morning and got home and found out that you charged the card for December. I am hoping that this can be corrected. Also. You have homeless people entering. Using facilities. And leaving their snack items laying around

Smelled like urine TWICE inside my unit from nearby ones being used as a bathroom apparently. Not a pleasant first week experience. Finally got my stuff out of there. Please fix this problem. Happened twice weeks apart
The employees were very friendly and helpful. I had a reservation, it was not communicated to this location and they had to find me a new space, which was done quickly and effectively. I don't understand why the U-haul corporation has such a hard time with their reservations, if this location didn't have space available I would have been screwed. I had even more problems with my trailer rental. All employees are great, but I have great criticism for u-haul as a corporation.
It was short staffed and the wait time standing in line was too long. I stood in line almost an hour. I paid for a storage unit and got someone else’s storage, then I had to return to get the correct storage unit. The 24 access was ok but no cards available to use. Now I got my storage unit corrected. I’m satisfied overall.

I tripped over a bike rack. Scratched my face and they had no first aid kit available. This was a very bad situation. For a class organization as this I thought this was not good. This should be available at all times as a safety tool. I BLAME the manager for this major mistake and it should be corrected at once .
The staff was poor they took money off my card and idk what they did with it I had to pay twice on my storage the manager was horrible he didn’t even care and the staff a freaking rude the storage place hallways was nasty and they got roaches

I was so happy to find a free lock in my storage when I got to the assigned location. The only downfall was the huge mouse house in my locker unit. Will my things be chipped away at by the mice? Does the insurance cover that?

I did not realize I still needed to check-in @ desk when picking-up my rental, or I would have arrived earlier as it was pretty busy. Once at counter things went pretty well, as we went through both trunk rental & storage rental contracts separately. Thaddeo(?) was my service rep & did a good job; he was patient to repeat some things for me as I am a little hard of hearing. After acquiring the truck & transferring some tools from my car, I had to return to office to arrange accessing storage unit to apply my disc lock (note: the only kind allowed), & Elton noticed my return to line & promptly asked me what I needed. He let know where to meet him, walked me to the unit, opening inspection, & applying my lock. I appreciated that quick help, so I could get on with my day. A pretty good experience & 1 month storage unit rental free with truck. Thanks Thaddeo & Elton!

there was no lock in our unit but your phone people and on site manager were very helpful.
The guy was very helpful and showed me different sizes and options for a storage unit and helped me settle on one for my specific needs and even showed me where it was and how to check in and out with the keypad and access code.
I needed a rental truck for 6 hours to move 2 apartments but I was put on a schedule due to someone else needed the truck. It was awful! I was called repeatedly to bring back the truck, I probably won’t use these company for a while

Only moved things out because I could no longer pay for two storages and I would’ve preferred everything to be in the Uhaul storage facility but the other storage unit was jam packed and would’ve been more of a huge undertaking putting it all in the uhaul unit...pricing is better at Uhaul, hours are way better, access more convenient and staff always been kind and very helpful!!!!

The person working during my check-in did not know what they were doing. They had me pay for a lock before I got into my unit, even though there already was a lock in my unit when I arrived and I shouldnt have had to buy one. There is also a large pole running through my unit that makes storing things difficult and takes up quite a bit of space. I will be trying to find an alternate storage unit facility when places open up.
We completely cleaned out the storage on Saturday February 29, 2020 and requested a move-out receipt at the store counter. I was told they would email it to me by Sunday 3/1/20 and as of today I have not received it. I called them Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and can never get through to that location. The call gets forwarded to another Uhaul service center. The Uhaul service rep said she has emailed my storage location (1500 south 1st street, Milwaukee, WI 53204) but has not received a response either. I’ve been emailing customer service but they can’t locate the account. This is very frustrating! I still need proof we moved out on Saturday 2/29/20 so that we’re not charged for March.
I don't understand how they're still in business, when they all have VERY poor customer service skills, they're rude and argumentative with CUSTOMERS!! THEY CHEAT AND BEAT CUSTOMERS, WHEN IN ALL ACTUALITY, IT'S US, THE CUSTOMERS THAT MAKE THE BUSINESS!! WITHOUT OUR HARD EARNED MONEY, THERE'D BE NO UHAUL!! AND, THEN THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO BE PREJUDICE AND OVER LOOK AS WELL UNDER LOOK THEIR CUSTOMERS!! JUST RIDICULOUS!! BETTER OFF RENTING FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE.. SOMEWHERE THAT APPRECIATES THEIR CUSTOMERS!!

When I originally got the unit, I was told that we were unable to get a key card for access because it was down and then the pin info to get in also didnt work.
Would give you excellent, but my storage unit had “rodent poison” with a Do Not Touch sign on it. Rats and poison were never a part of my deal when I paid for this storage spot.

We actually did not get a unit at this location because the one I reserved, turned out to be too small. There wasn't any larger ones available but the young lady that assisted us, was awesome!

Kid when arrived didn't know how to take car off dolly. Said was there for a year and never trained. He said I had to do it in a very rude manner. All around worst biz processes I've seen.
When signing up the Manager of the store was very rude. story is longer than 200 character limit. The facility was nice, but I would never do business with that manager again. Rest of staff was nice.
Overall positive experience. Only knock is that you have to pay more for extended hours access at U HAUL. Other than that this facility is nice.

The only thing I didn't like about the storage is the distance it was from my house; however that has nothing to do with you guys. That was the location my family reserved for me coming from Georgia.
The only problem I had was the staff was never on the same page when it comes to asking a question. Every time I asked a question in person the staff just looks at each other I didn't understand why.

Rat droppings on all totes and boxes. The boxes I bought from Uhaul storage did not hold well at all. The mice also chewed into my boxes. I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL STORAGE AGAIN!

There was a surprising amount of mouse feces in my unit when I moved out. Since I didn’t store anything that would attract nice, I was a little concerned of the cleanliness. Otherwise, it was good.
