There was multiple issues I was late to do what I had to do and the lady didn't act like she knew what was going on I called him three times to get a specific information so everything will go smoothly and then it end up being different when I got there but ended up on me having to pay people to help me that can even help me because I had to get the kids and then when I went they change my rate I put over the amount of gas and I got charged more than what I was going to get charged in the first place because I had to drive it back out to their location instead of drop it off to the location closer than me because of the timing with the stuff I picked it up out here cause I had to be somewhere and I was late and had to wait another hour so my vehicle had to stay there all night so I called to tell him I was dropping it back off there and I switched everything and I didn't even get my Full deposit back on what I was supposed to get I got less than that way less! And they didn't even say sorry once they didn't ask to switch it and compensating to make it right then they try to put it back on a $50 card that he watch me throw in the garbage the previous day when I called up there and ask can I use a gift card for my work because you're supposed to be for the gas to put that in the vehicle and it ended up having to go towards the deposit because even though I called 10 minutes before I got there and they said 109 out the door I ended up getting there and it ended up being 209 and I spoke to somebody five times that day it was the worst experience that I've ever had and they said that they were rated number one the day before I will never recommend this to anywhere and I will find somewhere else besides U-Haul to rent from My whole family has never changed from U-Haul and it will change now! The point being is not only did they do totally opposite of what they said they didn't even apologize they showed no no remorse or care for anything but then the man said have a nice day like a smart but when I walked out the door after not speaking to me the whole entire time!

You try to charge me for a dolly I turned in already. You said I had the equipment for a month but still allow me to rent a whole dolly & a truck?. How can I still have something if I turned it in and why would you allow me to get another one if you thought I had the last dolly??? $240 that I'm fighting for right now!!! They probably rented it out to someone else and they just returned it but it wasn't me. The customer service was pretty Good I must say. But please do a better job with making sure everyone who works there knows how to properly except your equipment return.

Was a bit confused about what the gas level was supposed to be. It was 3/4 when I left. The person told me it was 3/4 however when I returned it with 3/4 was stated it was supposed to be a higher level so I was charged extra for gas.

Well we lost the truck keys the young lady just said we do normally keep spare keys that's it she didn't try to help me at all so now not only did I have to move out of state I also had to pay $271 to get a key made.

This was honestly the best and easiest way to move if you don't have a lot of belongings. UHaul made it easy, staff was friendly, and communicated well. Pick up was easy and I was able to contact my driver directly after setting up my drop off date/time to have my box taken away. Would highly recommend to anyone that doesn't want to spend 12 hours in a truck. Package was due to arrive by Dec. 3rd, but came early and was dropped off Nov. 30th! Box was picked up 630 miles away on Nov. 16th.

The truck steering was awfully seemed like loose tye rods. Went to drive it back to Waterford and getting up to 50 the truck started shaking so bad my husband was afraid something was going to happen and we had a 2 and1/2 hour drive. We didn't want to get stuck on the hwy. We took it too the closest uhaul. Which is houghton lake,And dropped it off we said we would wait for them to check it out and fix it and Sandy said she would take care of it. Mrs Martin and question please call 2483306699

Steering was extremely loose. Wipers did not work while driving through a winter storm. I had to return to the dealer to have them open the back door and lock which were frozen. That should have been deiced before I picked it up. When I voiced my concerns the response was OK. That's it OK. THIS TRUCK SHOULD NOT BE ON THE ROAD ESPECIALLY IN A WINTER STORM.

Issue with the fact that the previous nick or marks from other uses were marked on vehicle with stickers with an "X" on them. This location says that they don't sticker or Premark past damages and will not use what's there as legit. Weird and scary. Not as convenient as original starting location I selected.

Very slow service, bad communication and bad customer service overall. I hit also charged an extra $20 for after hours service for putting the key in drop box. According to the person who did the paper work that we failed to check out and the instructions was highlighted on the contract which we never heard a word from him saying anything about this process. Also, while trying to solve this issue the person hung up in a middle of conversation. I've used uhall for the past 20 years and I've never had such a bad experience like this one. Obviously management needs to take a closer look at the operations of this location . Thank you

Given COVID I was very surprised that the staff did not wear masks. I was having a hitch installed and per the UHaul website this was to be while you wait. However, I was informed otherwise when I arrived. The mechanic was very nice and did a good job as I did not have any problems towing the trailer over 600 miles. I was not very impressed with the other staff.

This survey does not ask the right questions. My boxes were delivered (2 boxes). I only filled and locked 1, but I've been charged all along for 2 boxes. I have called customer service, emailed, etc. and have been told that my only recourse is to go to the location itself. Customer Service could not take care of the overcharge?? How is that cust service? I went to the location last week - service rep was not wearing a mask, manager did not come out and talk to me, was told my overcharge would be addressed, but a week later I've had no response or credits applied. I called the Zach Shattuck's cell phone yesterday and left a message. No answer or response. Honestly can't say I would ever recommend.

I don't know if it's the location or U-Haul in general. I tried doing all by phone to be disappointed by multiple problems. I left a half hour after pickup time because online instructions were unclear and not working. I had to go inside to get assistance twice. Returning had same problems, had to go inside to get assistance.

The radio area was flashing continuously, could not turn off. The truck otherwise was clean and well maintained, typical work truck perfect for our need. When we picked it up, there was only one individual working and therefore gas gauge was between 3/4 and 1/2, which was resolved on return. Pleasant, courteous employees at location. Customer service operator not so much and it takes far too long to answer your telephones - waiting 10 minutes is unacceptable for any business!

I rented a 5x8 trailer , a dolly, and a hitch was put on my vehicle. The pick up associate was not welcoming to me seemed not helpful. When i dropped off the trailer a young lady associated came outside seemed luke she didnt want to work she unhitched the trailer didnt check anything and proceeded to go inside. I had to aske her to come back to get the ball hitch off my truck its not my property its uhaul she seemed upset. The dolly was in the trailer she didnt even check to see if it was there. I asked the other older lady why they dont check so that i feel secure and all uhaul property is ok the male associated told me they have cameras for that i said no i prefer to know now so i dont have any problems later . The checkout lady told me the girl checked it and gave me my receipt and said i was good even though the girl never chect anything. I feel a little customer service is needed

I cleaned out my unit after my monthly payment had been auto-deducted five days previously. When I tried to call and ask if I would be getting any of that money back, having only used the unit five days of that month, I could never get anyone to answer the phone. I tried four times. So I drove over there, and asked the staff member on duty. There was no smile, nothing welcoming at all, just a flat, “No we don’t prorate.” That was it. Unfriendly AND unfair.

I moved out of my unit aug 19th 2020, went into office and told them I was moving....asked if i needed to sign anything, the staff said no and blew me off. 2 weeks later I get a call from a manager asking if I had.moved out of the unit. My move was finalized 2 days after that sept 1 2020. Im disappointed in the lack of communication and the laziness of the employees who couldn't complete my move the day I actually moved out.

This team hustles and cares about its customers. The facilities are one of the largest around and they have converted to digital communication which is very convenient. Great job!!

It was pretty busy on Sunday. Everyone was courteous and helpful. My gate card didn’t work at first so I had to come back in and get it fixed which was a bit of a hassle, but they fixed it quickly.

Brand new facility with over 800 indoor units. Loading dock with garage pull in makes it above the other storage facilities around. Staff was very kind and helpful.

Everything went great...until it didn't. I tried to cancel my storage unit in store and was told I would receive a receipt by email. I never did, had to call and struggle to close it over the phone

Facilities could use updates compared to other uhaul facilities. The staff was courteous though always too busy. I had issues with ending my storage reservation despite conversations with 2 employees.
