The back rear hatch door was frozen shut and was stuck due to the cold weather. Recommend you check this before renting out trucks on cold days. Had to use tools to pry the ice.

It wasn't a great experience overall. The clerks were not knowledgeable about any questions we had and there seemed to be quite a bit of confusion when registering. We also paid for 12 furniture pads, and when we arrived at our location to move, there were none in the truck, which made moving much more difficult. When we arrived back at the UHAUL location to return the truck, the clerk did not greet us and was playing a game on her phone. She offered to take $10 off the charge to account for the missing furniture pads. She barely looked at us while she was on her phone. We're hoping for a better experience next time.

It was very difficult to connect and disconnect the 6x12 trailer on my own. (very heavy). No one available to assist.

Easy check in process. I booked my van online and picked it up an hour later. The van was clean but was wore out and the parking brake latch was broken. Also, the van was originally parked in an awkward spot, parked inches against a fence, and I didn't like being responsible for moving it as I didn't want to damage anything. The associate was polite but didn't seem overly happy with the job. Overall, I rate this rental as uneventful.

Both inside and outside of trailer was unclean. Returned trailer after hours and confirmed from home. Next day got a $20 bill, alleging did not check in equipment. The self checkin will not register unless you are on the premises, However their window notice and app does not tell you that. Called the main no. Could not assist and directed to the location and location refused to assist.

Employee marked more gas than it was given. I drove 24 miles and returned after putting $15 in gas. I was charged over $70 for missing fuel. Employee said I had to pay for the gas, no discussion. I only drove 24 miles. Put in $15 paid extra $77

When I arrived i had to wait 20 mins sign on window. On arrival the truck was not prepared it still had a cardboard advertisement covering the whole window. The attentendent did not do an inspection with me before i left or explained any info required for safety when renting a truck. When I returned the truck she was not very helpful albeit i arrived 10 mins after closing. (that is my fault totally) The after hours check out instructions from the attentendant was read that sign. Not very helpful. I think in a service business more attention should be paid to the customer needs and assuring a meaningful experience.

I reserved a 20 ft truck for sat Nov 27th at 9am. I got there sharp at 9am and they did not have any 20 ft trucks available. Only 10 ft which holds less than half of a 20 ft truck. Needless to say I was upset as my move took more than twice as long and twice the mileage.

The check in took longer than expected as the touch console was not working 100 % of the time. The vehicle did not have a snow brush but the attendant loaned me a broom to clear snow off the vehicle. It would be a nice thing if the vehicle was waiting in the front staging area instead of having to seek it out at the building side.

It would be better to have designated parking for people there to be dropped off, or picked up. Each time I was there someone parked blocking the ability to get a large rental vehicle in/out of the facility.

Forgot to mention that our vehicle's parking brake release was not sitting properly against the console, which made it look broken. Still functional, but at first glance it appeared broken. Overall we felt very safe, operating the vehicle.

The only thing that surprised me, the second contact I introduced during pick up the truck, the associate asked for his driving license and today surprisingly, my contact received a call from his bank regarding a fraud transaction on behalf of UHaul. I hope this is not the case for everybody. Hopefully, the bank stopped the transaction andd issued another credit card.

There was actually nothing to improve upon. The entire process was super fast and easy which I certainly appreciate. Becky is absolutely amazing to deal with which is why I always choose this location for my moving/storage needs. Only concern (which may be outside of your control) was the smell of smoke (from a previous driver) in the cab once it heated up. Had to drive virtually the entire trip with the windows down until it aired out more. Suggestion as well for the "gassing up" of the vehicles. In the interests of customer satisfaction; if the gas tanks were always filled prior to release; then the customer only has to fill the tank again upon return. Having to "guess" how much gas to put in is difficult on a vehicle that is not one's own. In my situation; I put much more gas back in upon return than was necessary and thus "overpaid".

Hello, I am writing to share an unpleasant experience I encountered while renting a 26' truck. I picked it up on Nov 4th, and it was reserved for 24 hours. As soon as I opened the back of the truck there was a very strong odour of cannabis in it, and the floor was very dirty with what looked to be dirt. I had to clean it out, but for the entire time I had the truck we had to deal with this strong smell. I called the rental location to complain and received an apology. When I returned the vehicle, I shared my experience with the person behind the counter. I asked given what we had to deal with, is there any kind of discount we could receive. She told me to complain to head office. I hope they don't rent that truck out to someone else until that strong odour can be dealt with. Thank you Howard Obornick 647-294-3466

The lady here was so helpful. She explained everything very clearly so that I knew exact what to do when returning the truck after hours. I really had a smooth experience with u-haul. Additionally, they were the cheapest most reasonably priced company out of all the others. This company is my go to for every move I ever have needed and will continue to be my place to go in future.

Never walk there. Just go to newmarket. The lady behind the desk is very rude and a jerk. I believe that she has mental problems. It is very frustrating that Uhal doesn't care about the customers' reviews in this branch.

The online process for renting after hours isn't available for all smart phones. Couldn't get the lock box open and when we returned the next morning to speak with an employee it took the woman 10 minutes to open the lock and she required tools and WD40. Then when I asked if our return time could be adjusted since we weren't able to rent the truck until 11 hours after our scheduled pick up time we were told we had to just call head office. Really poor experience trying to rent with the after hours service and from U-haul in general. I have now been charged an extra $100 for I'm not sure what! No e-mail or bill sent out..

Provide the rental with a full tank, even if it is inconvenient for your location. It is difficult to determine how to fill a tank to half.

The person (woman) working at this location is last person you would want as a "customer facing" representative of your company. I dont think I have ever been treated so rudely or made to feel so unwelcome. What's worse...I believe she is the manager. I would not recommend doing business with this location again

Dear U Haul I want to share my experience with you guys. Let me start from very beginning. Everything starts from friday(20/8/21). I booked uhaul 20" truck online everything went smooth and at the same time i was looking for storage unit. I got a popup that i can get a free first month. I was like gr8 thats all i need and i went on to reserve it and apply the discount but somehow an error occurred. Then i called the uhaul toll free number. Lady picked up everything went well she said she applied the discount everything is good u now just have to pick up truck move your stuff and return the truck back. Was so happy until the moving day sunday (22/8/21). I went to pick up the 20" truck and it turns out that they dont have that. I was amazed like how can someone book you something that is not even available. I was like ok no problem i ll go with 15" and rest of the small stuff I ll move by my car. And just to make my moving more worse the truck was filthy, steering wherel and seats were sticky as there were lot of sweat and never cleaned but it was moving day, i ignored it. i put my stuff in the rental went to storage unit which was 40 kms away and when i reached there the guy said they cant apply the discount because the rental truck has to be one way or something. Again they promised me something else and charging me something else. I called u haul toll free as i was waiting outside. They said the same thing i said can i talk to manager and she even said the same thing. Then i replied i already got to know this thing from 2 other people but as a manager how you can help me out in this situation and while our conversation was going on I mentioned that i was getting it cheaper somewhere else but i choose u guys cuz of promotion and now u r saying this you cant honour it. Her reply just made me so angry, she said u should go to those guys if they r cheaper. Lady just hear yourself i m in ur truck its almost 4 o clock 5 o clock everything will be closed and i am 40 kms away from my city and u r saying this to go take it somewhere else. Thats just so rude and that's not a way to handle customer complaints. Gist of the story i am using u haul from quite a bit u can check my records and this was by far the worst experience I ever had with Uhaul. I want someone to look after my case and give me call back with all the answers i have. -Why you promised 20" truck but never had it? -why u told me that u have applied the discounts and made me go 40 kms and then only tell u can go somewhere else? -in these covid time why u don't assure the cleanliness and proper sanitation of the trucks? - why ur manager despite solving customer issues tell them to go somewhere else? This is important. And i want to let u know my brother and i are starting to feel itchiness in our hands and arms. So please make sure the cleanliness of the rentals.
