The general manager was so nice, this was the second time I've interacted with her and she is clearly very knowledgeable and confident in how her store runs. She's nice and funny. The van I rented wasn't exactly clean, as there was a lot of gunk that could have been wiped down especially by the cup holders. There was also a vape under the seat lol. It smelled a little weird too, like sweat, but other than that it was a good experience. This location seems to be the most well run of the other locations I've been to in Wisconsin.

Was sent to location further from my home adding cost to my rental for miles and gas. I feel these costs should have been prorated since this is an administration issue not a situation that I caused. The windshield was encrusted with bug juice, seems like that would be a very normal topic for fleet service. I requested and paid for 24 furniture pads but only 12 were supplied with my rental. Was instructed to "follow this link" but was unable to connect with the internet. Called store and was put on hold, had a crew waiting. Went into store and was now the seventh person in line. Not convenient in any way. U Haul should realize that people renting equipment have enough of their own stuff going on and if something needs to be done then have your own people do it. Asking or requiring me to do your administration process is not acceptable, remember I'm the customer keeping you all employed so do your job and do it better than you did on Saturday.

The truck I got was very old. The pictures they had of the truck nowhere near represented what it was in real life. Haha it was so worn out and old that even the arm rest on the passenger side was non existent.

Everything was GREAT!! continue the Excellent customer service. I worked with Aiden and a young lady (didn't get her name) both were very helpful in getting me into a cargo van as a walk in customer. I originally booked reservations over the phone with a Uhaul customer service rep (online wasn't showing any trucks available), the wrong location was entered, it was no where near my home or where I was moving the items from but the West Allis location made the rental process quick and easy.

My truck was not sanitized and ready to go at my reservation time. I had to wait for the employees to sanitize the entire truck, which cut into my reservation time. I also reserved two furniture dollies, which the location did not have any left. I needed these furniture dollies for my move, so I suggested that I could pick up the dollies at another location. Another location had the dollies for me, but I had to drive out of my way to pick them up, which cut into my reservation time. When I arrived at this other location, one employee gave me a hard time and informed me that they might not be able to provide these dollies for me. Finally, another employee came out and generously provided me with the dollies I paid for. Overall, my experience was very frustrating and I expected more from this company as I have had a good experience with them in the past.

The only thing I would hope is that next time they tell you what to look for on the truck when your looking for the one you're driving. I spent too much time scavenging the lot checking every truck high and low to find a number that matched what was on the keys, so for anybody reading this-the number on the key corresponds to the letters and numbers on the front top of the truck. I wish I knew that sooner! :')

replace the tires on the trailers before they become unsafe. While I was driving, one of the tires treads completely came off the tire, and the other was nearly bald upon inspection. I should've caught this when I picked up the trailer, and now I know how thorough of an inspection I need to do prior to driving off in the future.

The only complaint our problem that I had with my with my experience was returning my returning my u-haul after hours.When I tried To go online and and return it the way it showed to when it came time to upload photos old photos after I put in the mileage and bleach and gas gauge information information it would not allow me to upload any pictures and I could not complete the online return process. And they charged me a $20 fee For that even though it was not my fault that their websites would not allow me to upload the photos that I have still still as proof better but I tried

The check in process, even after checking in in line, is still too time consuming and tedious. Returning the trailer should have been fast but wasn't. It would be helpful if employees wore something, even an ID lanyard, that identified them as staff.

Excellent experience! Archie hooked up my trailer and honestly, his attention to detail probably saved my family's lives. We were rear ended by a semi truck which caused us to lose control and flip over. The trailer remained attached flipping the opposite direction keeping our car from rolling multiple times. Before I left, Archie was going through checking everything and photographing the hook up when he realized the hitch was not fully secure. He of course immediately remedied the situation explaining to me how this proved the great importance of the process of going through every step thoroughly and methodically. Shout out to Archie! We always utilize this location and always have a great and professional experience.

I watched the check in/out videos. I was under the impression the drop off would have instructions on where to leave the keys. None was provided. A message on location of the drop box would be a nice improvement.

Really not the location, but the automated pick up that did not work. The location had the keys hanging behind the desk because there was no intention of having pick up automated. The process stalled and I waited 15 minutes while it said it was in approval process before I went inside to be met by a 5 customer line. My helpers sat outside my house waiting for me. 30 late.

I struggled with the clean part of "clean and well maintained" because of the windshield covered with bug splatters. I scrubbed as hard as I could to clean the windshield with mediocre success. Probably needs power washing. Otherwise I was pleased with the cleanliness of the vehicle and trailer.

Aiden greeted me rihgt when I walked up near the desk even though he was helping someone else he acknowledged that he would be right with me which made me feel welcome he got the information he needed from me in a polite smiling manner I didn't feel like I was a pain in his neck when I dropped off the truck at about 6:55 pm!!!he was still polite and… That's quitting time!

It was very irritating that the vehicle had ZERO gas when all your materials state the tank needs to be full. Before we could do anything we needed to get gas across the street from the pick up location. Then I was told I would get a $25 gas credit. I returned it with a half tank of gas so I lost money on this.

I had a direct move from Kentucky and was supposed to get a free month of storage. My reservation I had at another uhaul location was not available because they over booked. After driving 8 hours and being rebooked across town I was told they weren't going to honor it. After multiple phone calls with uhaul and the facility from which I was hung up on and talked to rudely I still haven't gotten a refund

Reserved a 1-way trailer to convey storage contents to St.Paul. After I paid, & with no call, U-Haul CANCELLED my reservation; & informed me that the trailer I reserved the week before was their LAST for 1-way use. U-Haul staff then informed me that I had NO RECOURSE. Only offera "local trailer"- I'd have to drive back fr St.Paul- I acquiesced-desperate. Storage was fine-but the rest is unacceptable.

After completing our move with the U-Haul truck we were advised that we could store the items at U-Haul for one month at no charge. This was extremely convenient as we were not able to move into the new home until mid July.

I'm really annoyed that U-Haul's policy is even if you have a reservation, storage units are first come, first serve. I had a reservation for a unit that I placed a few weeks ago and when I arrived I was told that it was given away. I then had to pay quite a bit more for a larger unit because it was the only unit available. The customer service was good and the unit was good, low stars are due to cooperate's new policy.

Not a well run Uhaul. Several issues with setting up the storage unit and then after we moved out we got a letter stating our rent was overdue. Then I could not reach anyone to straighten it out online or over the phone. Had to go back in and wait 20 minutes to speak to a manager. Finally got it straightened out. Stressful.

Truly never had such a horrible experience. Truck was to be picked up at 11 am. Got there. No truck they say. I ask why. no answer. Asked about other trucks parked. Said waiting on other customers. so we tried to get another truck but they wouldn't comply. I had a reservation for my truck at 11 am. Well finally 1pm Finally got a truck. Played phone tag with the u-haul place. at one point they cancelled my reservation. While I'm still waiting for a truck. I have never been so frustrated in all my life. I have people helping me move and all they had to do was wait? The man at west allis u-haul was nasty. I will never recommend u-haul again.

My storage unit got messed up twice! They said system errors. Then, I had a very poor experience with renting a uhaul. I didn't receive any indication that I needed to be there within 15mins of my pick up time. I was stuck with a uhaul that was 6' shorter and caused me to make 2 trips to move! Which equated for more mileage! They never reimbursed me for that extra mileage! That same day, I went in to pick up the uhaul, I was upset about the cancelation. I know I wasn't disrespectful to the lady, however, her husband, the GM Jose, embarrassed me in front of a line of people by yelling at me and threatening me!! I would hope this company would know having a husband and wife work together at a location can cause this exact issue to happen when things don't go exactly right. This location has made several mistakes and never once took ownership of there mishandling of my storage unit and rental issue. They just blamed the system. When you are a GM of a location, you need to conduct yourself that way! Jose definitely failed at that and caused a scene for no reason! He is a poor example of a leader. No leader should have an outburst like he did!! Very unprofessional!!

The employees at the location of the storage facility were helpful but I had to take a day off of work to drive there in person because no one ever picked up the phone at the location. Every time I called I was rerouted to an offsite customer service rep that would state they couldn't help me because they didn't have access to the accounts at a different location. Tried chatting online and was also told that only a rep at the exact location could help. Leaving messages didn't help either. I would get a voicemail with the general number to call back and no one would pick up again. Tried calling corporate and would sit on hold for 30-40 minutes at a time and then have the same experience. While the face to face employees were helpful, the experience I had moving was horrible with this company. I had to go between 3 locations to get a truck and storage facility and then the size that I ordered wasn't available even though I had paid for it online with a credit card already. Miscommunication from the company only created more issues with trying to relocate out of the area. I have driven over 200 miles extra to deal with issues from moving and using the storage facility. Horrible experience.

My experience was fine with the staff working at the time but I was highly frustrated with the fact thtmat the 10 by 15 I had reserved had been rented to someone else. I needed this size and was not permitted to go bigger in size even though this was not my fault. Smaller didnt really work for what i needed.

Pick up was a nightmare. Only one desk clerk and line was out the door. Should be a way to facilitate picking up if you have a reservation. I get the covid angle but standing in line for over an hour is BS. Why register a pickup time if it's not honored?

I rented a unit online that would be large enough for the contents of a one-bedroom apartment. When I got to the facility, I was told I'd need take a cart back-and-forth to fill the unit, which I'd never had happen before. I ended up having to rent a different kind of unit I could drive up to. I reiterated that I had furniture and boxes from a one-bedroom apartment. When I got to the unit, it was only big enough for a few boxes. I had to go back to the office to get a unit that was the size I requested.

I feel that the prices are very high. The facility hours could be an extra hour. There is never enough staff always have to wait. I ran late four important reason and when I got to the facility I wanted to make sure that I could check out before the staff left. I think they should have oh way that they can access the key and let you be able to still use it since technically it is my last day until at least 10 or 11 because technically it still is my day instead I was locked out from being able to leave and the gentleman inside the desk was not helpful to my friend who went to tell him to let us out. Luckily there was a another employee that was outside other facility that was able to access and help us leave but we still had a couple big things to pick up and we had to leave it outside of the gate because of not being able to still have access. I don't think staff should have to be there to make sure that the unit is clean if I'm paying . They should be able to clean it out the next day that should be their job. We also rented a truck at one point and it is really misleading when they say $19 and some cents for a truck but by the time you include the miles and the hassle of bringing back the truck it was not a quick drop off there is a procedure and very time-consuming I feel that it is very expensive. I guess in a time of need and no one else has a truck a person has to be convinced that this was going to be an expensive rental and realize that they have to close their eyes about the expense of the truck. This is my opinion.

Customer service is horrible, long wait time, not knowledgeable about UHaul services and don't care of customers needs at all...I had to look for a customer service person twice while I went to make payment and to rent a truck. They pretend not to see the customer. Foul language with each other used. Horrible service!

Waiting in line for anything is an hour ordeal. Very very unorganized. It took 5 months of me giving them my information to get autopay to actually work simply because nobody knew how to do it correct
