The rental and return process was a mess start to finish. First I tried to make the reservation by calling, but the rep would not quote me ANY information about the rental until I had committed to a reservation (including whether it was flat rate or by mile, etc-- stuff you can find in the FAQ, which is how I did find it. Not talking about the fact that the rate is variable by booking time, I mean the basic structure of how the pricing works at all. It seems that she did not know even the information in the FAQ). So I said thank you, hung up, made the reservation online. The computer prompted me to make an account so I could view my reservation, however it threw an error every time I tried to provide a password to complete the signup. I called the company; a computer error would not let them do internally so either so I was transferred after a long hold to customer service, who discovered I had 3 reservations (2 extras having been made when I spoke to the first person, I guess? Or computer error?) but they "can't click on them" to know what they are. Much time and muddling goes by and she becomes able to view them. I had her cancel the extras and supposedly set up the account. But when I attempt to log-in:. same thing happened, couldn't view, called in, they couldn't view, customer service, confirmation and verbal instructions given, however, they are not sure if the dolly was ever staged by this point the original reservations were made hours ago). She keeps putting me on hold to call the facility over and over until she gets ahold of someone who agrees to go over there and place the dolly. Later, we go to the pick-up point. The U-Haul GPS checker does not recognize me as being at the correct location for 20 minutes of driving around the parking lot (it eventually picks me up in the same location I initially arrived and tried in), by which time the pick-up window is in danger of timing out. I call in, am told too bad and that she won't extend the time even though no one is using it after me. However, the website doesn't seem to realize the pick-up is expired, so I continue. I am asked to take selfie, passport photo, license photo, etc, but the website is continually giving a generic error message when I attach the photos (NOT bc they weren't clear etc), so I contact the online helper who reviews and approves them manually. Then I am unable to retrieve the the code to get the key. Call in, it's not working for them internally either, transfer to customer service who gives me the code to retrieve my key. I do. Move goes pretty well, though there are a few moments where the truck acts mechanically weird in terms of the gear shift sticking physically or not changing the gear even when the shift/light indicates that it did (I don't have the mechanical acumen to explain its behavior but the truck is TT60008D). Go to return the truck. Wonder of wonders, the online system is not working at all. Call in, the online system is not working at all for them,

I initially had a reservation in Dixon at Octavio's Towing at 830am. The van I had a reservation for was not there. The guy at Octavio's didn't apologize for the mix up and asked if I wanted to go to another location (the 1600 Tide Crt location). Without any other options I went in the opposite direction of where I was going to move my stuff. The lady at the 1600 Tide Crt location mentioned that this happens all the time. I find it incredulous that UHaul can allow for this to happen and not provide a customer with a discount. If I were to break any part of the agreement I have with UHaul there would be repercussions. But they know they have you stranded in these situations, so there isn't even an offer. I ended up 2 hours behind, which caused me to miss the person who was supposed to help me move my stuff into my new apartment. Having to haul a full room set up, up to a second floor is not a fun experience...

Nothing wrong with the location but I won't use U-haul again. $19.99 rental was bull crap. Threatening to charge me for harming the stickers on the truck is a douchebag move. It would have cost me less to rent a truck at Enterprise for the whole day.

On returning a 3-day rental the attendant served the customers who entered after I had been waiting at the counter for service for ten minutes. First in line last to be served...No respect! Got a minimal apology of 'sorry.'

I was absolutely SHAFTED! I reserved a 9am rental at one location. It was moved to a separate location 3 days before pickup. l also had my pickup time changed to much later in the day. I called to address my concerns and was TREATED LIKE SHIT! They changed my pick up and time for a THIRD TIME! I just wanted a trailer! You’d think I wanted the Holy Grail. I actually picked up a trailer in woodland although the reservation time was wrong (again). That team was professional and I’m grateful. I hope my trailer on the 28th isn’t a cluster fuck like this last one.

Picking up trailer was quick. In and out in 15 minutes with trailer hooked up to the truck. Dropping off after hours was very easy.

The lock was a little sticky when I picked up the equipment, could probably use a little lube. I love the after hours pickup/drop off. The lot was very clean and visible.

no available 6x12 trailers in vacaville had to drive all the way to woodland......also had to drive all the way back to woodland to return it.......trailer leaked water.....also woodland should stay open past 5pm.....

What completely made me give it a bad rate was the gas I had to put on the truck to get the gage back to a quarter tank ... lol yup I used less then half of a quarter tank and took me over 30 dollars to put it back to were the line was at ... I used other uhuals before on Beamer storage and have filled it back up with less then 5 dollars ... using the same distance and going the same speed ... other then that the truck ran great just tooo much for gas ... maybe the gage was broken who knows ...
