Have used U-Haul and always satisfied with equipment. What made this experience so great was the excellent customer service. Friendly and efficient. Can't ask for more. Big thumbs up for the two guys working.
Robert PMake public area more inviting, fewer stacks of boxes cluttering the room. Admittedly picky, but my only adverse comment. Otherwise, the service and installation were excellent.

Emi MAlthough understandable, I didn't appreciate the call from the drop-off location an hour after I picked it up asking if we would return it on time. Quite annoying when you have other things on your mind.
Theodore TWhen they bring the truck I went to start it it keep grinding when turn the key one of the workers said you have to keep doing it I felt uncomfortable taking the truck I ask if I can get a other one they had plenty of trucks there that person said no manger won't trade out trucks so I took it home loaded all my stuff in there and try to leave the truck would not start the starter keep grinding and won't. Not start keep trying to do it the way the guy show me didn't work try talking the place they was close it was 6pm and then try getting in touch with the roadside assistance didn't work so my friend next door came by and the battery was getting weak from trying to keep starting it so he use a jumper box and check underneath and said the starter was mess up so he did something and got it to start after that i was already 2hrs last and only half my load out at the storage before they close and had to go back again in the morning when I return the truck they did not offer any discount for the inconvenience that i went true and I ask them for a other truck from the start
Robert UI called to ask if the pickup trucks came with a ramp, had an entire conversation with someone at the call center who reassured me they did, only to find out AFTER I made the reservation and got to the actual place that they don't. My $30 reservation came out to about 60 including the straps I got, and i wasn't paying for it so i had to embarrassingly call the card owner 3 times because the price kept going up. and you expect me to give you gas. on top of it all. if y'all didn't have a literal monopoly on moving trucks i'd go anywhere else but hey, what choice do i have right?

brian oI do recommend you let customers know how unbelievably easy it is to break in/unlock/hotwire U-Hauls and urge them to take as many precautions as possible. I had not used one overnight before and didn't think I would need to do much more than keep it locked. I was naive and after sharing my experience with the community, they informed me it is incredible how easy it is and that U-Hauls are basically a target for the blind. Unfortunately, everything I own was stolen out of my U-Haul even though I locked the doors and padlocked the rear. I have accepted the fact that it is just stuff, it isn't important, and that I will never see any of it again. I wasted time and money I will never get back with this move when I could've just thrown everything away instead. I am glad they didn't steal the whole truck but having everything you own ripped away from you is one of the most violating and devastating experiences and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I will no longer be using U-Hauls to move. What happened to me was not anyone's fault but if someone had told me beforehand how likely it was that everything in my U-Haul would be taken and that I would be a massive target, I could've done more to prevent the burglary.

Sungyong CGas was supposed to be at 1/4 tank but was actually at 1/16 tank. Needed to head straight to a gas station and fill it up quite a bit, and was very stressed about running out of gas. Because of after hours drop off, didn't know how to escalate / ask for a rebate for the extra gas I put in. Parking situation at the end was confusing and didn't follow painted zoning. Otherwise fine experience.
Derek RRep had a bad attitude. Not helpful when the trailer was not there. Another rep found one but I waited more than an hour before that happened.

Marcus SWhen we checked in, the nationwide system was down. There were 20 people in the store, lots of frustration. This review is purely about that, not the store itself. One, modernize your technology so you can't have a nationwide outage. But two, the guys who were trying to manage this did a great job in a shit situation. They tried to figure out solutions and dealt with stressed people. The main guy there saved the day, so I give him five stars.

Robert DTruck had graffiti spray painted all over it. And I Didn't get all the equipment I reserved and paid for. Pointed it out at pick up, lied to by the employee helping me about the amount I'd reserved. Accepted delivery, checked my on-line order and yep, sure enough there was the 2nd hand cart I'd reserved and paid for. Pointed this out upon returning the rental, this young man assured me he'd credit me and send an updated receipt. Have received absolutely no receipt and no credit for the 2 day rental of the hand cart.

jose mwhen I dropped off the 5 x 8 trailer I was told that a receipt of the rental amount would be rnaikwf to me in 10 minutes. That was at 1pm today. It's now 10:00pm and still no receipt of my drop off. This forgetfulness is unacceptable as there were 2 staff people who disconnected the trailer- both were courteous but where's the follow through?
David MWash the Van have the inside detailed. Fix the broken emergency brake release. You should build one with a car wash & mechanic shop, then have it all digital with your phone. Minimal employees. Just 2-3 in the front that work the front wash the trucks one always who is an expert hitch installer. And then 1 mechanic. Switch to Carhart uniforms.
Kenneth AThe person at the counter when checking out did not make it clear that the time to return is enforced.. there is no text sms warning before reservation ending , no option to extend if you need to return late. I was charged one while extra day for returning an hour late.

When I was submitting pictures, it refreshed back to my account page, which showed no current or prior rentals. So I assumed it was returned properly, but felt like I wasn't able to confirm that it was.

I do want to say I had a very bad experience with a different U Haul Neighborhood dealer - Address: 4730 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105. I looked up beforehand availability of pickup trucks and cargo vans, and they seemed to have them. But when I showed up they had nothing available.
